3	Schechanja, Rehum, Meremot,	Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
4	Iddo, Ginneton, Abija,	Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,
5	Mijamin, Maadja, Bilga,	Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
6	Schemaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,	Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
7	Sallu, Amok, Hilkija und Jedaja. Das waren die Häupter der Priester und ihrer Brüder zur Zeit Jeschuas.	Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
8	Die Leviten aber waren diese: Jeschua, Binnui, Kadmiël, Scherebja, Juda und Mattanja; er und seine Brüder waren für die Danklieder eingesetzt,	Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.
9	Bakbukja aber, Unni und ihre Brüder standen ihnen gegenüber beim Dienst.	Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.
10	Jeschua zeugte Jojakim, Jojakim zeugte Eljaschib, Eljaschib zeugte Jojada,	And Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,
11	Jojada zeugte Johanan, Johanan zeugte Jaddua.	And Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.
12	Und zur Zeit Jojakims waren diese die Häupter der Sippen unter den Priestern: nämlich von der Sippe Seraja: Meraja; von Jirmeja: Hananja;	And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
13	von Esra: Meschullam; von Amarja: Johanan;	Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
14	von Malluch: Jonatan; von Schebanja: Josef;	Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

21	von Hilkija: Haschabja; von Jedaja: Netanel.	Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.
22	Und zur Zeit Eljaschibs, Jojadas, Johanans und Jadduas wurden aufgezeichnet die Häupter der Sippen unter den Leviten und die Priester bis zur Herrschaft des Persers Darius.	The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.
23	Es wurden aber von den Söhnen Levi die Häupter der Sippen aufgezeichnet in der Chronik bis zur Zeit Johanans, des Sohnes Eljaschibs.	The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
24	Und dies waren die Häupter der Leviten: Haschabja, Scherebja und Jeschua, der Sohn des Kadmiël; und ihre Brüder standen ihnen gegenüber, zu loben und zu danken, wie es David, der Mann Gottes, geboten hatte, Abteilung neben Abteilung,	And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
25	nämlich Mattanja, Bakbukja und Obadja. Aber Meschullam, Talmon und Akkub, die Torhüter, hatten die Wache an den Vorratskammern der Tore.	Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
26	Diese lebten zur Zeit Jojakims, des Sohnes Jeschuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, und zur Zeit des Statthalters Nehemia und des Priesters Esra, des Schriftgelehrten.	These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27	Einweihung der Stadtmauer Und bei der Einweihung der Mauer Jerusalems holte man die Leviten aus allen ihren Orten nach Jerusalem, um Einweihung zu halten mit Freuden, mit Danken und Singen, mit Zimbeln, Psaltern und Harfen.	And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28	Und es versammelten sich die Sänger aus der Gegend rings um Jerusalem und von den Gehöften der Netofatiter	And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
29	und aus Bet-Gilgal und von den Fluren um Geba und Asmawet; denn die Sänger hatten sich rings um Jerusalem Gehöfte gebaut.	Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
30	Und die Priester und Leviten reinigten sich und reinigten das Volk, die Tore und die Mauer.	And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31	Und ich ließ die Oberen von Juda oben auf die Mauer steigen und stellte zwei große Dankchöre auf. Die einen gingen zur Rechten oben auf der Mauer zum Misttor hin,	Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

33	und Asarja, Esra, Meschullam,	And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34	Juda, Benjamin, Schemaja und Jirmeja	Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
35	von den Priestern mit Trompeten. Dann Secharja, der Sohn Jonatans, des Sohnes Schemajas, des Sohnes Mattanjas, des Sohnes Michajas, des Sohnes Sakkurs, des Sohnes Asafs,	And certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:
36	und seine Brüder Schemaja, Asarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel und Juda, Hanani mit den Saitenspielen Davids, des Mannes Gottes; Esra aber, der Schriftgelehrte, ging vor ihnen her.	And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
37	Und sie zogen zum Quelltor hin und stiegen geradeaus die Stufen zur Stadt Davids hinauf auf dem Aufgang zur Mauer oberhalb des Hauses Davids bis an das Wassertor im Osten.	And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
38	Der andere Dankchor ging zur Linken hin, und ich ging hinter ihm her mit der Hälfte des Volks oben auf der Mauer oberhalb des Ofenturms bis an die breite Mauer	And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
39	und oberhalb des Ephraimtores zum Jeschanator und zum Fischtor und zum Turm Hananel und zum Turm der Hundert bis an das Schaftor, und sie blieben am Wachttor stehen.	And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
40	So standen die beiden Dankchöre am Hause Gottes und ich und die Hälfte der Vorsteher mit mir	So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
41	und die Priester, nämlich Eljakim, Maaseja, Mijamin, Michaja, Eljoënai, Secharja, Hananja mit Trompeten,	And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42	und Maaseja, Schemaja, Eleasar, Usi, Johanan, Malkija, Elam und Eser. Und die Sänger sangen laut, und Jisrachja stand ihnen vor.	And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43	Und es wurden an diesem Tage große Opfer dargebracht, und sie waren fröhlich, denn Gott hatte ihnen eine große Freude gemacht, sodass sich auch die Frauen und Kinder freuten, und man hörte die Freude Jerusalems von ferne.	Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44	Die Abgaben an die Priester und Leviten Zu der Zeit wurden Männer eingesetzt über die Kammern für die Vorräte, für die Abgaben, Erstlinge und Zehnten, um in ihnen die Anteile von den Äckern um die Städte her zu sammeln, die nach dem Gesetz für die Priester und Leviten bestimmt waren; denn Juda hatte Freude an den Priestern und Leviten, die im Dienst standen.	And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
45	Und sie versahen den Dienst ihres Gottes und den Dienst der Reinigung und den der Sänger und Torhüter nach dem Gebot Davids und seines Sohnes Salomo.	And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46	Denn schon zu den Zeiten Davids und Asafs wurden die Vorsteher der Sänger eingesetzt, um Gott zu loben und zu danken.	For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47	Und zur Zeit Serubbabels und zur Zeit Nehemias gab ganz Israel den Sängern und Torhütern Anteil an den heiligen Gaben Tag für Tag. Und den Leviten gaben sie einen heiligen Anteil, die Leviten aber gaben davon den heiligen Anteil den Söhnen Aaron.	And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.
