1 너는 거짓 소문을 퍼뜨리지 말며 사악한 자와 손을 잡고 불의한 증인이 되지 말라. Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2 ¶너는 군중을 따라서 악을 행하지 말며 소송에서 재판을 굽게 하려고 다수를 따라서 기우는 말을 하지 말라. Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
3 ¶너는 가난한 자의 소송에서 그에게 호의를 보이지 말지니라. Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
4 ¶네가 만일 네 원수의 길 잃은 소나 나귀를 만나거든 반드시 그것을 그에게 돌려줄 것이며 If thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
5 네가 만일 너를 미워하는 자의 나귀가 짐 밑에 깔린 것을 보거든 그를 돕고 싶지 아니하여도 반드시 그와 함께 도울지니라. If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
6 너는 가난한 자의 소송에서 그에 대한 재판을 굽게 하지 말지니라. Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
7 너는 거짓된 일로부터 네 자신을 멀리하며 무죄한 자와 의로운 자를 죽이지 말라. 나는 사악한 자를 의롭다 하지 아니하리라. Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
8 ¶너는 뇌물을 받지 말라. 뇌물은 지혜로운 자의 눈을 어둡게 하고 의로운 자의 말을 굽게 만드느니라. And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9 ¶너는 또한 나그네를 학대하지 말라. 너희가 이집트 땅에서 나그네였은즉 나그네의 심정을 아느니라. Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
10 너는 여섯 해 동안 네 땅에 씨를 뿌려 그것의 열매를 거두어들이되 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
11 일곱째 해에는 그것이 안식하며 가만히 있도록 두어서 네 백성 중의 가난한 자들이 먹게 하라. 그들이 남긴 것은 들의 짐승들이 먹으리라. 너는 네 포도원과 올리브 밭도 그와 같이 할지니라. But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
12 너는 엿새 동안에 네 일을 하고 일곱째 날에는 안식하라. 그리하면 네 소와 나귀가 안식할 것이며 네 여종의 아들과 나그네가 원기를 회복하리라. Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
13 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 일에서 신중히 행하고 다른 신들의 이름은 언급하지도 말며 네 입에서 들리게도 하지 말지니라. And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
14 ¶너는 한 해에 세 번 나를 위하여 명절을 지킬지니라. Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
15 너는 무교절을 지키라. (내가 네게 명령한 대로 너는 아빕 월의 정한 때에 이레 동안 누룩 없는 빵을 먹을지니 이는 그 달에 네가 이집트에서 나왔기 때문이니라. 아무도 빈손으로 내 앞에 나오지 말지니라.) Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
16 네가 밭에 뿌린바 네 수고의 첫 열매의 수확절을 지키라. 네가 밭에서부터 수고하여 얻은 것을 거두어들인 때 곧 한 해의 끝에 있는 수장절을 지키라. And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17 네 모든 남자는 한 해에 세 번 주 하나님 앞에 나올지니라. Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.
18 너는 내 희생물의 피를 누룩 있는 빵과 함께 드리지 말며 내 희생물의 기름을 아침까지 남겨 두지 말지니라. Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
19 너는 네 땅의 첫 열매의 처음 것을 주 네 하나님의 집에 가져갈지니라. 너는 염소 새끼를 그것의 어미의 젖으로 삶지 말지니라. The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
20 ¶보라, 내가 한 천사를 네 앞에 보내어 길에서 너를 보호하게 하며 내가 예비한 곳으로 너를 데리고 들어가게 하리니 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 그에게 주의하여 그의 목소리에 순종하고 그를 노엽게 하지 말라. 내 이름이 그 안에 있으므로 그가 너희 범법을 용서하지 아니하리라. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
22 그러나 네가 참으로 그의 목소리에 순종하고 내가 말하는 모든 것을 행하면 내가 네 원수들에게 원수가 되고 네 대적들에게 대적이 되리라. But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23 내 천사가 네 앞에 가서 너를 아모리 족속과 헷 족속과 브리스 족속과 가나안 족속과 히위 족속과 여부스 족속에게로 데리고 들어가고 내가 그들을 끊어 버리리니 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24 너는 그들의 신들에게 절하지 말며 그들을 섬기지도 말고 그들의 행위를 본받지 말며 오직 그들을 철저히 뒤엎고 그들의 형상들을 완전히 부술지니라. Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
25 너희는 주 너희 하나님을 섬길지니라. 그리하면 그가 네 빵과 물에 복을 줄 것이요, 내가 네 한가운데서 병을 제거하리라. And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26 ¶네 땅에서는 유산하는 자가 없고 수태하지 못하는 자가 없을 것이요, 내가 네 날수를 채우리라. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
27 내가 나의 두려움을 네 앞에 보내어 네가 만날 모든 백성들을 멸하고 네 모든 원수들이 자기들의 등을 네게로 돌리게 하리라. I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
28 또 내가 말벌들을 네 앞에 보내리니 그것들이 히위 족속과 가나안 족속과 헷 족속을 네 앞에서 쫓아내리라. And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
29 그 땅이 황폐하게 되고 들의 짐승이 번성하여 너희를 대적할까 염려하므로 내가 일 년 내에 그들을 네 앞에서 쫓아내지 아니하고 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
30 네가 불어나서 그 땅을 상속할 때까지 그들을 네 앞에서 조금씩 쫓아내리라. By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
31 또 내가 네 경계를 홍해에서부터 블레셋 사람들의 바다까지와 사막에서부터 강까지 정하리라. 내가 그 땅의 거주민들을 너희 손에 넘겨주리니 너는 그들을 네 앞에서 쫓아낼지니라. And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
32 너는 그들이나 혹은 그들의 신들과 언약을 맺지 말라. Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33 그들은 네 땅에 머무르지 못할지니 그들이 너로 하여금 내게 죄를 짓게 할까 염려하노라. 네가 그들의 신들을 섬기면 그것이 반드시 네게 올무가 되리라. They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
