1 이스라엘이 자기의 모든 소유를 가지고 길을 떠나 브엘세바에 이르러 자기 아버지 이삭의 하나님께 희생물을 드리니 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer–sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2 하나님께서 밤의 환상 속에서 이스라엘에게 말씀하여 이르시되, 야곱아, 야곱아, 하시므로 그가 이르되, 내가 여기 있나이다, 하매 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 그분께서 이르시되, 나는 하나님 곧 네 아버지의 하나님이니 이집트로 내려가기를 두려워하지 말라. 내가 거기에서 너로부터 큰 민족을 만들리라. And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 내가 너와 함께 이집트로 내려가고 또 반드시 너를 다시 데리고 올라오리라. 또 요셉이 그의 손으로 네 눈을 감기리라, 하셨더라. I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
5 야곱이 일어나서 브엘세바를 떠나니 이스라엘의 아들들이 파라오가 그를 데려오려고 보낸 수레들에 자기들의 아버지 야곱과 자기들의 어린것들과 아내들을 태웠더라. And Jacob rose up from Beer–sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6 야곱과 그와 함께한 그의 모든 씨가 자기들의 가축과 가나안 땅에서 얻은 재물을 취하여 이집트로 갔으니 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:
7 곧 그가 자기 아들들과 자기와 함께한 손자들과 딸들과 손녀들 곧 자기의 모든 씨를 데리고 이집트로 갔더라. His sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
8 ¶이집트로 들어간 이스라엘의 자손들의 이름은 이러하니라. 야곱과 그의 아들들 즉 야곱의 맏아들 르우벤과 And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
9 르우벤의 아들들 곧 하녹과 발루와 헤스론과 갈미요, And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10 ¶시므온의 아들들 곧 여무엘과 야민과 오핫과 야긴과 소할과 가나안 여인의 아들 사울이요, And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.
11 ¶레위의 아들들 곧 게르손과 고핫과 므라리요, And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12 ¶유다의 아들들 곧 엘과 오난과 셀라와 베레스와 세라더라. 그러나 엘과 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었더라. 또 베레스의 아들들 곧 헤스론과 하물이요, And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
13 ¶잇사갈의 아들들 곧 돌라와 부바와 욥과 시므론이요, And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
14 ¶스불론의 아들들 곧 세렛과 엘론과 얄레엘이니 And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15 이들은 레아가 밧단아람에서 야곱에게 낳은 아들들이니라. 그의 딸 디나를 합하여 그의 아들딸들의 모든 혼이 서른셋이더라. These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan–aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16 ¶또 갓의 아들들 곧 시비온과 학기와 수니와 에스본과 에리와 아로디와 아렐리요, And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 ¶아셀의 아들들 곧 임나와 이수아와 이수이와 브리아와 그들의 누이 세라며 또 브리아의 아들들 곧 헤벨과 말기엘이니 And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.
18 이들은 라반이 자기 딸 레아에게 준 실바의 아들들이니라. 그녀가 야곱에게 이들을 낳았으니 곧 열여섯 혼이더라. These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
19 야곱의 아내 라헬의 아들들 곧 요셉과 베냐민이더라. The sons of Rachel Jacob’s wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.
20 ¶이집트 땅에서 요셉에게 므낫세와 에브라임이 태어났는데 이들은 온의 제사장 보디베라의 딸 아스낫이 그에게 낳은 자들이더라. And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti–pherah priest of On bare unto him.
21 ¶베냐민의 아들들 곧 벨라와 베겔과 아스벨과 게라와 나아만과 에히와 로스와 무빔과 후빔과 아릇이니 And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22 이들은 라헬이 야곱에게 낳은 아들들로서 모든 혼이 열넷이니라. These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
23 ¶또 단의 아들들 후심이요, And the sons of Dan; Hushim.
24 ¶납달리의 아들들 곧 야스엘과 구니와 예셀과 실렘이니라. And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25 이들은 라반이 자기 딸 라헬에게 준 빌하가 야곱에게 낳은 아들들이니라. 그녀가 야곱에게 이들을 낳았더라. 모든 혼이 일곱이더라. These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
26 야곱의 허리에서 나와 그와 함께 이집트에 이른 모든 혼 즉 야곱의 아들들의 아내들 외의 모든 혼이 예순여섯이더라. All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were threescore and six;
27 이집트에서 요셉에게 태어난 아들들은 두 혼이었으며 야곱의 집의 모든 혼 곧 이집트에 이른 혼은 일흔 혼이었더라. And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28 ¶그가 자기보다 앞서 유다를 요셉에게 보내어 자기 얼굴을 고센으로 인도하게 하였더라. 그들이 고센 땅에 이르니 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29 요셉이 자기의 병거를 예비하고 고센으로 올라가서 자기 아버지 이스라엘을 맞이하며 그에게 자기를 보이고 그의 목을 껴안으며 그의 목에 기대어 얼마동안 울매 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30 이스라엘이 요셉에게 이르되, 네가 지금까지 살아 있고 내가 네 얼굴을 보았으니 내가 지금 죽어도 좋도다, 하니라. And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31 요셉이 자기 형제들과 자기 아버지 집에게 이르되, 내가 올라가서 파라오에게 보이고 그에게 말하기를, 가나안 땅에 있던 내 형제들과 내 아버지 집이 내게로 왔는데 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 그 사람들은 목자들이니이다. 그들의 생업이 가축을 먹이는 것이었으므로 그들이 그들의 양 떼와 소 떼와 그들의 모든 소유를 가지고 왔나이다, 하리니 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33 파라오가 당신들을 불러서 이르기를, 너희 직업이 무엇이냐? 하거든 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34 당신들은 고하기를, 주의 종들의 생업은 젊어서부터 지금까지 가축을 치는 것이었는데 우리와 또 우리 조상들이 다 그러하니이다, 하소서. 이집트 사람들에게는 모든 목자가 가증한 자이오니 당신들이 고센 땅에 거하게 되리이다, 하니라. That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
