| 1 | 에티오피아의 강들 건너편에서 날개로 그림자를 드리우는 땅에 화가 있을지어다! | Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia: |
| 2 | 그 땅이 물 위에 떠 있는 갈대배로 바다를 통해 대사들을 보내며 이르기를, 민첩한 사자(使者)들아, 너희는 흩어지고 벗겨진 민족 곧 그들의 시작부터 지금까지 두려움을 주는 백성에게로 가되 분량대로 측량되고 짓밟힌 민족 즉 강들이 땅을 못 쓰게 만든 민족에게로 가라! 하는도다. | That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled! |
| 3 | 세상의 모든 거주민들과 땅에 거하는 자들아, 그분께서 산 위에 기를 세우시거든 너희는 볼지어다. 그분께서 나팔을 부시거든 너희는 들을지어다. | All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. |
| 4 | 주께서 내게 이같이 이르시되, 내가 내 안식을 취하며 또 내 거처에서 깊이 생각하기를 채소 위에 떨어지는 투명한 열기와 수확 때의 열기 속에 거하는 이슬 구름같이 하리라, 하셨도다. | For so the Lord said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. |
| 5 | 수확하기 전 곧 봉오리가 완전해지고 신 포도가 꽃 속에서 익어 갈 때에 그분께서 가지 치는 낫으로 작은 가지를 치시고 큰 가지를 제거하시고 잘라 내시어 | For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. |
| 6 | 그것들을 다 같이 산의 날짐승들과 땅의 짐승들에게 남겨 주시리니 날짐승들이 그것들로 여름을 나며 땅의 모든 짐승들이 그것들로 겨울을 나리라. | They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them. |
| 7 | ¶그때에 흩어지고 벗겨진 백성 곧 그들의 시작부터 지금까지 두려움을 주는 백성이 만군의 주께 예물을 가져오되 분량대로 측량되고 짓밟힌 민족 즉 강들이 땅을 못 쓰게 만든 민족이 만군의 주의 이름이 있는 곳 시온 산으로 가져오리라. | In that time shall the present be brought unto the Lord of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, the mount Zion. |
