1 또 내가 보니 한 천사가 바닥없는 구덩이의 열쇠와 큰 사슬을 손에 들고 하늘로부터 내려와 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 마귀요 사탄인 그 용 곧 저 옛 뱀을 붙잡으니라. 그가 그를 붙잡아 천 년 동안 결박하여 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 바닥없는 구덩이에 던져 넣어 가두고 그 위에 봉인을 하여 천 년이 찰 때까지는 그가 더 이상 민족들을 속이지 못하게 하니라. 그 뒤에는 그가 반드시 잠시 동안 풀려나리라. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 또 내가 보니 왕좌들과 그것들 위에 앉은 자들이 있는데 그들에게 심판이 맡겨졌더라. 또 내가 보니 예수님의 증언과 하나님의 말씀으로 인하여 목 베인 자들의 혼들이 있는데 그들은 짐승과 그의 형상에게 경배하지도 아니하고 자기들의 이마 위에나 손 안에 짐승의 표를 받지도 아니한 자들이더라. 그들이 살아서 그리스도와 함께 천 년 동안 통치하되 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 그 나머지 죽은 자들은 그 천 년이 끝날 때까지 다시 살지 못하였더라. 이것은 첫째 부활이니라. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 첫째 부활에 참여하는 자는 복이 있고 거룩하도다. 둘째 사망이 그들을 다스릴 권능을 갖지 못하고 도리어 그들이 하나님과 그리스도의 제사장이 되어 천 년 동안 그분과 함께 통치하리로다. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7 그 천 년이 다 차매 사탄이 자기 감옥에서 풀려나고 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 나가서 땅의 사방에 있는 민족들 곧 곡과 마곡을 속이며 그들을 함께 모아 전쟁을 하게 할 터인데 그들의 수는 바다의 모래 같으리라. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 그들이 땅의 넓은 곳으로 올라가 성도들의 진영과 그 사랑받는 도시를 에워싸매 불이 하늘에서 하나님으로부터 내려와 그들을 삼켰고 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 또 그들을 속인 마귀가 불과 유황 호수에 곧 그 짐승과 거짓 대언자가 있는 곳에 던져져서 영원무궁토록 밤낮으로 고통을 받으리라. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 또 내가 크고 흰 왕좌와 그 위에 앉으신 분을 보니 땅과 하늘이 그분의 얼굴을 피하여 물러가고 그것들의 자리가 보이지 아니하더라. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 또 내가 보매 죽은 자들이 작은 자나 큰 자나 할 것 없이 하나님 앞에 서 있는데 책들이 펴져 있고 또 다른 책이 펴져 있었으니 곧 생명책이라. 죽은 자들이 자기 행위들에 따라 책들에 기록된 그것들에 근거하여 심판을 받았더라. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 바다가 자기 속에 있던 죽은 자들을 내주고 또 사망과 지옥도 자기 속에 있던 죽은 자들을 넘겨주매 그들이 각각 자기 행위들에 따라 심판을 받았고 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 사망과 지옥도 불 호수에 던져졌더라. 이것은 둘째 사망이니라. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 누구든지 생명책에 기록된 것으로 드러나지 않은 자는 불 호수에 던져졌더라. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
