1 또 다윗 왕이 온 회중에게 이르되, 하나님께서 유일하게 택하신 내 아들 솔로몬은 아직 어리고 연약한데 그 일은 크니 이는 그 전당이 사람을 위한 것이 아니요, 주 하나님을 위한 것이기 때문이라. Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.
2 이제 내가 이미 내 하나님의 집을 위하여 힘을 다해 예비하되 곧 금으로 만들 것들을 위하여 금을, 은으로 만들 것들을 위하여 은을, 놋으로 만들 것들을 위하여 놋을, 쇠로 만들 것들을 위하여 쇠를, 나무로 만들 것들을 위하여 나무를 예비하였으며 또 줄마노와 장식할 보석과 빛나는 보석과 여러 색깔의 보석과 온갖 종류의 보석과 대리석을 풍성히 예비하였노라. Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
3 또 내가 그 거룩한 집을 위하여 예비한 모든 것 외에도 내가 내 하나님의 집을 사모하였으므로 내 소유의 재물 곧 금과 은 중에서 내 하나님의 집을 위하여 드렸노니 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,
4 즉 오빌의 금에서 금 삼천 달란트와 정화된 은 칠천 달란트라. 이것으로 그 집들의 벽을 입히며 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:
5 금은 금으로 된 것들을 만들고 은은 은으로 된 것들을 만들며 또 장인의 손으로 만드는 온갖 종류의 일에 쓰게 하였나니 그런즉 이 날 누가 자원하여 자기의 섬길 것을 주께 거룩히 구분하겠느냐? 하니라. The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?
6 ¶그때에 아버지들의 우두머리들과 이스라엘 지파들의 통치자들과 천인 대장들과 백인 대장들과 왕의 일을 치리하는 자들이 자원하여 드리되 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,
7 하나님의 집의 섬기는 일을 위하여 금 오천 달란트와 만 다릭과 은 만 달란트와 놋 만 팔천 달란트와 쇠 십만 달란트를 드리고 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
8 보석을 가진 자들은 게르손 족속 여히엘의 손을 통하여 주의 집의 보고에 그것들을 드렸더라. And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the Lord, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 그때에 백성이 자원하여 드리되 완전한 마음으로 주께 자원하여 드렸으므로 기뻐하였으며 다윗 왕도 크게 기뻐하며 즐거워하니라. Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
10 ¶그러므로 다윗이 온 회중 앞에서 주를 찬송하여 이르되, 주 우리 조상 이스라엘의 하나님이여, 주께서는 영원무궁토록 찬송을 받으시옵소서. Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
11 오 주여, 광대하심과 권능과 영광과 승리와 위엄이 주의 것이오니 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 것이 주의 것이니이다. 오 주여, 왕국도 주의 것이오니 주께서는 모든 것 위에 머리로서 높여지셨나이다. Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12 재물과 명예가 다 주에게서 나오며 또 주께서는 모든 것을 통치하시나이다. 주의 손에 권능과 능력이 있사오니 사람을 크게 하심과 모든 사람에게 기력을 주심이 주의 손에 있나이다. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 그러므로 우리 하나님이여, 이제 우리가 주께 감사하오며 주의 영화로운 이름을 찬양하나이다. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
14 그러나 나는 누구며 내 백성은 무엇이기에 우리가 이런 식으로 이렇게 자원하여 드릴 힘이 있겠나이까? 모든 것이 주에게서 나오니 우리가 주의 것에서 주께 드렸을 뿐이니이다. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
15 우리는 우리의 모든 조상들같이 주 앞에서 나그네요, 잠시 머무는 자이며 또 땅 위에 있는 우리의 날들은 그림자 같아서 영구히 지속되는 날이 없나이다. For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
16 오 주 우리 하나님이여, 우리가 주를 위하여 주의 거룩한 이름을 위해 집을 건축하려고 예비하여 저축한 이 모든 것이 주의 손에서 나오며 다 주의 것이니이다. O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.
17 나의 하나님이여, 또한 내가 주께서 마음을 시험하시고 올바른 것을 기뻐하시는 줄 아나이다. 나로 말하건대 내가 올바른 마음으로 이 모든 것을 자원하여 드렸사오며 또 이제 내가 여기 있는 주의 백성이 주께 자원하여 드리는 것을 기쁘게 보았나이다. I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
18 오 주여, 우리 조상 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘의 하나님이여, 이것을 주의 백성의 마음의 상상하는 바와 생각 속에 영원히 두시며 그들의 마음을 예비하사 주께로 향하게 하시옵소서. O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
19 또 내 아들 솔로몬에게 완전한 마음을 주사 주의 명령과 증언과 법규를 지켜 이 모든 일을 행하게 하시고 내가 전당을 위해 예비한 것으로 전당을 건축하게 하옵소서, 하였더라. And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
20 ¶다윗이 온 회중에게 이르되, 이제 주 너희 하나님을 찬송하라, 하매 온 회중이 주 자기 조상들의 하나님을 찬송하고 머리를 숙여 절하며 주와 왕에게 경배하였더라. And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.
21 그 다음 날 그들이 주께 희생물로 희생을 드리고 또 주께 번제 헌물을 드렸으니 곧 수소 천 마리와 숫양 천 마리와 어린양 천 마리와 또 그것들의 음료 헌물과 온 이스라엘을 위한 풍성한 희생물이더라. And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
22 그 날에 그들이 크게 기뻐하며 주 앞에서 먹고 마셨더라. 그들이 다윗의 아들 솔로몬을 한 번 더 왕으로 삼고 그에게 기름을 부어 주께 드리며 우두머리 치리자가 되게 하고 사독에게도 기름을 부어 제사장이 되게 하니라. And did eat and drink before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
23 그때에 솔로몬이 주의 왕좌에 앉아 자기 아버지 다윗을 대신하여 왕이 되고 형통하였더라. 온 이스라엘이 그에게 순종하며 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 모든 통치자들과 용사들과 다윗 왕의 모든 아들도 마찬가지로 솔로몬 왕에게 복종하매 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.
25 주께서 솔로몬을 온 이스라엘의 눈앞에서 심히 크게 하시고 그 이전의 이스라엘의 어떤 왕에게도 없던 왕의 위엄을 그에게 주셨더라. And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
26 ¶이와 같이 이새의 아들 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 통치하였으니 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
27 그가 이스라엘을 통치한 기간은 사십 년이더라. 그가 헤브론에서 칠 년 동안 통치하고 예루살렘에서 삼십삼 년 동안 통치하였더라. And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
28 그가 나이 많아 날들을 채우고 부유하게 지내며 존귀를 누리다가 죽으매 그의 아들 솔로몬이 그를 대신하여 통치하니라. And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
29 보라, 이제 다윗 왕의 행적은 처음부터 마지막까지 선견자 사무엘의 책과 대언자 나단의 책과 선견자 갓의 책에 기록되어 있되 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
30 그의 모든 통치와 그의 권력과 그와 이스라엘과 여러 나라의 모든 왕국에 임한 시대들과 함께 기록되어 있느니라. With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
