1 아담, 셋, 에노스, Adam, Sheth, Enosh,
2 게난, 마할랄레엘, 야렛, Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,
3 에녹, 므두셀라, 라멕, Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,
4 노아, 셈, 함, 야벳이 있었더라. Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5 ¶야벳의 아들들은 고멜과 마곡과 마대와 야완과 두발과 메섹과 디라스요, The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
6 고멜의 아들들은 아스그나스와 리밧과 도갈마요, And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
7 야완의 아들들은 엘리사와 다시스와 깃딤과 도다님이더라. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
8 ¶함의 아들들은 구스와 미스라임과 붓과 가나안이요, The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
9 구스의 아들들은 스바와 하윌라와 삽다와 라아마와 삽드가요, 라아마의 아들들은 세바와 드단이더라. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
10 구스가 니므롯을 낳았는데 그가 땅에서 강력해지기 시작하였더라. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
11 미스라임은 루딤과 아나밈과 르하빔과 납두힘과 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
12 바스루심과 가슬루힘과 갑도림을 낳았는데 (가슬루힘에게서 블레셋 사람들이 나왔더라.) And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.
13 가나안은 자기의 맏아들 시돈과 헷을 낳고 And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
14 또 여부스 족속과 아모리 족속과 기르가스 족속과 The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
15 히위 족속과 알가 족속과 신 족속과 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
16 아르왓 족속과 스말 족속과 하맛 족속을 낳았더라. And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
17 ¶셈의 아들들은 엘람과 앗수르와 아르박삿과 룻과 아람과 우스와 훌과 게델과 메섹이더라. The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
18 아르박삿은 셀라를 낳고 셀라는 에벨을 낳았으며 And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
19 에벨에게 두 아들이 태어났는데 하나의 이름은 벨렉이었으니 이는 그의 날들에 땅이 나뉘었기 때문이더라. 그의 형제의 이름은 욕단이며 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother’s name was Joktan.
20 욕단은 알모닷과 셀렙과 하살마벳과 예라와 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 또한 하도람과 우살과 디글라와 Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 에발과 아비마엘과 세바와 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 오빌과 하윌라와 요밥을 낳았더라. 이들은 다 욕단의 아들들이더라. And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
24 ¶셈, 아르박삿, 셀라, Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
25 에벨, 벨렉, 르우, Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 스룩, 나홀, 데라, Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 아브람이 있었는데 바로 그는 아브라함이니라. Abram; the same is Abraham.
28 아브라함의 아들들은 이삭과 이스마엘이니라. The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.
29 ¶그들의 세대들은 이러하니라. 이스마엘의 맏아들은 느바욧이요, 다음은 게달과 앗브엘과 밉삼과 These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
30 미스마와 두마와 맛사와 하닷과 데마와 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
31 여둘과 나비스와 게드마더라. 이들은 이스마엘의 아들들이니라. Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
32 ¶이제 아브라함의 첩 그두라의 아들들은 이러하니라. 그녀가 시므란과 욕산과 므단과 미디안과 이스박과 수아를 낳았더라. 욕산의 아들들은 세바와 드단이요, Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.
33 미디안의 아들들은 에바와 에벨과 에녹과 아비다와 엘다아더라. 이들은 다 그두라의 아들들이니라. And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
34 아브라함은 이삭을 낳았으며 이삭의 아들들은 에서와 이스라엘이더라. And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.
35 ¶에서의 아들들은 엘리바스와 르우엘과 여우스와 얄람과 고라요, The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
36 엘리바스의 아들들은 데만과 오말과 스비와 가담과 그나스와 딤나와 아말렉이요, The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
37 르우엘의 아들들은 나핫과 세라와 삼마와 밋사요, The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 세일의 아들들은 로단과 소발과 시브온과 아나와 디손과 에셀과 디산이요, And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 로단의 아들들은 호리와 호맘이요, 딤나는 로단의 누이더라. And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan’s sister.
40 소발의 아들들은 알랸과 마나핫과 에발과 스비와 오남이요, 시브온의 아들들은 아야와 아나요, The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.
41 아나의 아들들은 디손이요, 디손의 아들들은 아므람과 에스반과 이드란과 그란이요, The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
42 에셀의 아들들은 빌한과 사반과 야간이요, 디산의 아들들은 우스와 아란이더라. The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.
43 ¶이제 어떤 왕이 이스라엘 자손을 통치하기 전에 에돔 땅에서 통치하던 왕들이 이러하니라. 브올의 아들 벨라인데 그의 도시의 이름은 딘하바더라. Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 벨라가 죽으매 보스라에서 온 세라의 아들 요밥이 그를 대신하여 통치하였고 And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 요밥이 죽으매 데만 족속의 땅에서 온 후삼이 그를 대신하여 통치하였으며 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
46 후삼이 죽으매 브닷의 아들 곧 모압의 들에서 미디안을 친 하닷이 그를 대신하여 통치하였는데 그의 도시의 이름은 아빗이더라. And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
47 하닷이 죽으매 마스레가의 삼라가 그를 대신하여 통치하였고 And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 삼라가 죽으매 강 옆의 르호봇의 사울이 그를 대신하여 통치하였으며 And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
49 사울이 죽으매 악볼의 아들 바알하난이 그를 대신하여 통치하였고 And when Shaul was dead, Baal–hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 바알하난이 죽으매 하닷이 그를 대신하여 통치하였는데 그의 도시의 이름은 바이요, 그의 아내의 이름은 므헤다벨이더라. 그녀는 메사합의 손녀요, 마드렛의 딸이더라. And when Baal–hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
51 ¶하닷도 죽으니라. 에돔의 추장들이 이러하니 곧 추장 딤나, 추장 알랴, 추장 여뎃, Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,
52 추장 아홀리바마, 추장 엘라, 추장 비논, Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 추장 그나스, 추장 데만, 추장 밉살, Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
54 추장 막디엘, 추장 이람이더라. 이들은 에돔의 추장들이니라. Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
