1 다윗이 자기를 위해 다윗의 도시에 집들을 짓고 또 하나님의 궤를 위해 처소를 예비하며 그것을 위해 장막을 치고는 And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 그때에 이르되, 레위 사람들 외에는 아무도 하나님의 궤를 나를 수 없나니 그들을 주께서 택하사 하나님의 궤를 나르고 영원토록 그분을 섬기게 하셨느니라, 하니라. Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the Lord chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3 다윗이 자기가 주의 궤를 위해 예비한 궤의 처소로 궤를 가지고 올라오기 위해 온 이스라엘을 예루살렘으로 함께 모으니라. And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
4 다윗이 아론의 자손들과 레위 사람들을 모으니 And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 고핫의 아들들 중에서 우두머리 우리엘과 그의 형제 백이십 명이요, Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
6 므라리의 아들들 중에서 우두머리 아사야와 그의 형제 이백이십 명이요, Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7 게르솜의 아들들 중에서 우두머리 요엘과 그의 형제 백삼십 명이요, Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
8 엘리사반의 아들들 중에서 우두머리 스마야와 그의 형제 이백 명이요, Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9 헤브론의 아들들 중에서 우두머리 엘리엘과 그의 형제 팔십 명이요, Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
10 웃시엘의 아들들 중에서 우두머리 암미나답과 그의 형제들 백십이 명이더라. Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
11 다윗이 제사장 사독과 아비아달을 부르고 또 레위 사람들과 우리엘과 아사야와 요엘과 스마야와 엘리엘과 암미나답을 불러 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12 그들에게 이르되, 너희는 레위 사람들의 아버지들의 우두머리들이니 너희와 너희 형제들은 너희 자신을 거룩히 구별하고 내가 궤를 위해 예비한 처소로 주 이스라엘 하나님의 궤를 가지고 올라오라. And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13 처음에는 너희가 그것을 하지 아니하였으므로 주 우리 하나님께서 우리를 찢으셨으니 이는 우리가 합당한 규례대로 그분을 찾지 아니하였기 때문이라, 하매 For because ye did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14 이에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 주 이스라엘 하나님의 궤를 가지고 올라가기 위해 자신을 거룩히 구별하고 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel.
15 모세가 주의 말씀에 따라 명령한 대로 레위 사람들의 자손들이 막대들로 하나님의 궤를 들어 어깨에 메니라. And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the Lord.
16 다윗이 레위 사람들의 우두머리들에게 말하여 그들의 형제들을 노래하는 자들로 임명하고 비파와 하프와 심벌즈 등의 악기를 울려서 기쁜 소리를 크게 내게 하매 And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
17 이에 레위 사람들이 요엘의 아들 헤만과 그의 형제들 중에서 베레기야의 아들 아삽과 자기들의 형제 므라리의 아들들 중에서 구사야의 아들 에단을 임명하고 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18 또 그들과 함께 둘째 등급에 속한 자기들의 형제들 곧 스가랴와 벤과 야아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 브나야와 마아세야와 맛디디야와 엘리블레흐와 믹네야와 오벳에돔과 여이엘 곧 문지기들을 임명하니라. And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed–edom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19 이에 노래하는 자 헤만과 아삽과 에단은 임명을 받아 놋 심벌즈로 소리를 내고 So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
20 스가랴와 아시엘과 스미라못과 여히엘과 운니와 엘리압과 마아세야와 브나야는 알라못에 맞추어 빼어나게 비파를 타며 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
21 맛디디야와 엘리블레흐와 믹네야와 오벳에돔과 여이엘과 아사시야는 스미닛에 맞추어 빼어나게 하프를 타고 And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed–edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
22 레위 사람들의 우두머리 그나냐는 노래에 익숙하므로 노래를 하고 노래를 가르쳤더라. And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.
23 베레기야와 엘가나는 궤를 위해 문을 지키는 자가 되고 And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24 제사장 세바냐와 여호사밧과 느다네엘과 아마새와 스가랴와 브나야와 엘리에셀은 하나님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 불며 오벳에돔과 여히야는 궤를 위해 문을 지키는 자가 되었더라. And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed–edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25 ¶이에 다윗과 이스라엘의 장로들과 천인 대장들이 가서 기뻐하며 오벳에돔의 집에서 주의 언약 궤를 가지고 올라왔는데 So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of Obed–edom with joy.
26 하나님께서 주의 언약 궤를 멘 레위 사람들을 도우셨으므로 그들이 수소 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 헌물로 드렸더라. And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27 다윗과 궤를 멘 모든 레위 사람들과 노래하는 자들과 또 노래하는 자들과 함께한 노래 지도자 그나냐는 고운 아마 겉옷을 입었으며 다윗도 아마 에봇을 입었더라. And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
28 이처럼 온 이스라엘이 크게 외치며 코넷 소리를 내고 나팔을 불며 심벌즈를 치고 비파와 하프로 소리를 내며 주의 언약 궤를 가지고 올라왔더라. Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29 ¶주의 언약 궤가 다윗의 도시로 들어올 때에 사울의 딸 미갈이 창으로 내다보다가 다윗 왕이 춤추며 노는 것을 보고 마음속으로 그를 업신여겼더라. And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
