1 주의 말씀이 내게 임하니라. 이르시되, And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 사람의 아들아, 네 얼굴을 곡과 마곡 땅과 메섹과 두발의 최고 통치자를 향해 고정하고 그를 대적하여 대언하며 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 이르기를, 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 오 메섹과 두발의 최고 통치자 곡아, 내가 너를 대적하노라. And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 내가 너를 뒤로 돌이켜 갈고리로 네 아가리를 꿰고 너와 네 온 군대와 말과 기병들 곧 온갖 종류의 갑옷을 입은 모든 자들 즉 모두 칼을 다룰 줄 아는 자들로서 큰 방패와 작은 방패를 지닌 큰 무리를 끌어내리라. And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 또 그들과 함께한 페르시아와 에티오피아와 리비아 곧 모두 방패와 투구로 무장한 자들과 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 고멜과 그의 모든 떼와 북쪽 지방의 도갈마의 집과 그의 모든 떼와 너와 함께한 많은 백성을 내가 끌어내리라. Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 너는 예비하되 스스로 예비하며 너와 네게로 모인 네 온 무리가 예비하고 너는 그들을 위해 감시하는 자가 될지어다. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 ¶많은 날 뒤에 네가 징벌을 받으리니 곧 마지막 해들에 네가 칼에서 벗어나 되돌아온 땅 즉 많은 백성에게서 거두어진 땅으로 들어가 항상 피폐하던 이스라엘의 산들을 치리라. 그러나 그것은 민족들에게서 나와 생겨났으며 그들은 모두 안전히 거하리라. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 네가 폭풍같이 올라와 그들에게 임할 것이요, 너 곧 너와 네 모든 떼와 너와 함께한 많은 백성이 구름같이 그 땅을 덮으리라. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 또 바로 그때에 여러 가지 일이 네 생각 속에 떠올라 네가 악한 생각을 하며 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 말하기를, 내가 성벽을 두르지 않은 마을들이 있는 땅으로 올라가리라. 내가 성벽도 없고 빗장이나 성문도 없이 거하는 모든 자들 곧 안식하면서 안전히 거하는 자들에게로 가서 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 노략물을 취하고 탈취물을 취하리라, 하고 네 손을 돌이켜서 전에는 황폐하였다가 지금은 사람이 거주하는 곳들과 또 민족들에게서 나와 모여 지내며 가축과 재물을 얻고 그 땅의 한가운데 거하는 백성 위에 두리니 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
13 세바와 드단과 다시스의 상인들과 그곳의 모든 젊은 사자들이 네게 이르기를, 네가 노략물을 취하려고 왔느냐? 네가 탈취물을 취하려고 네 무리를 모았느냐? 은과 금을 가져가고 가축과 재물을 빼앗아 가며 큰 노략물을 취하고자 하느냐? 하리라, 하라. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
14 ¶그러므로, 사람의 아들아, 곡에게 대언하여 이르기를, 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 이스라엘의 내 백성이 안전히 거하는 그 날에 네가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐? Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 네가 네 처소를 떠나 북쪽 지역에서 나오리니 너와 및 너와 함께한 많은 백성 곧 말을 탄 모든 자들과 큰 무리와 강한 군대라. And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16 네가 그 땅을 덮는 구름같이 내 백성 이스라엘을 치려고 올라오리니 그 일이 마지막 날들에 있으리라. 오 곡아, 내가 너를 데려다가 내 땅을 치게 하리니 이것은 내가 이교도들의 눈앞에서 네 안에서 거룩히 구별될 때에 그들이 나를 알게 하려 함이니라. And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
17 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 너는 내가 옛적에 내 종들 곧 이스라엘의 대언자들을 통하여 말한 그자가 아니냐? 그들이 그때에 내가 너를 데려다가 그들을 치게 할 것을 여러 해 동안 대언하였느니라. Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
18 곡이 이스라엘 땅을 치러 오는 바로 그때에 내 격노가 내 얼굴에 나타나리라. 주 하나님이 말하노라. And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19 내가 내 질투 속에서 내 진노의 불 속에서 말하였노니 반드시 그 날에 이스라엘 땅에 큰 떨림이 있어서 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 날짐승과 들의 짐승과 땅 위에서 기는 모든 기는 것과 지면에 있는 모든 사람이 내 앞에서 떨며 산들이 무너져 내리고 가파른 곳이 쓰러지며 모든 성벽이 땅에 무너지리라. So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 주 하나님이 말하노라. 내가 칼을 불러 내 모든 산에서 두루 그를 치게 하리니 각 사람의 칼이 자기 형제를 치리라. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
22 내가 또 역병과 피로 그를 심판하고 그와 그의 떼와 그와 함께한 많은 백성 위에 넘쳐흐르는 비와 큰 우박과 불과 유황을 비를 내리듯 내리리라. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 이와 같이 내가 내 자신을 높이고 거룩히 구별하여 많은 민족들의 눈에 나를 알리리니 내가 주인 줄을 그들이 알리라. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
