1 우리의 힘이 되시는 하나님께 큰 소리로 노래하며 야곱의 하나님께 즐거이 소리칠지어다. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2 시를 읊으며 작은북을 여기로 가져오고 흥겨운 하프를 비파와 함께 가져올지어다. Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3 월삭과 정한 때와 우리의 엄숙한 명절날에 나팔을 불라. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
4 이것은 이스라엘을 위한 법규요 야곱의 하나님의 법이로다. For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
5 그분께서 이집트 땅을 통과하여 나가시던 때에 요셉 안에 이것을 증언으로 정하셨도다. 거기서 내가 깨닫지 못하던 언어를 들었는데 This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
6 이르시기를, 내가 그의 어깨에서 짐을 벗기고 그의 손을 솥들에서 건져 내었도다. I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7 네가 고난 중에 부르짖으매 내가 너를 건지고 천둥소리의 은밀한 곳에서 네게 응답하였으며 므리바의 물들에서 너를 시험하였도다. 셀라. Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
8 오 내 백성이여, 들으라, 내가 네게 증언하리라. 오 이스라엘이여, 너희가 내 말에 귀를 기울이려 하면 내가 그리하리라. Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
9 너는 네 안에 이방 신을 두지 말며 어떤 이방 신에게도 경배하지 말지어다. There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10 나는 너를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나온 주 네 하나님이니 네 입을 크게 열라. 내가 그것을 채우리라. I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 그러나 내 백성이 내 음성에 귀를 기울이려 하지 아니하며 이스라엘이 내게서 아무것도 원치 아니하였도다. But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12 그러므로 내가 그들을 그들 마음의 정욕에 넘겨주매 그들이 자기들의 계획 안에서 걸었도다. So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
13 오 내 백성이 내 말에 귀를 기울이고 이스라엘이 내 길들로 걸었더라면 얼마나 좋았을까! Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
14 그리하였더라면 내가 곧 그들의 원수들을 정복하고 내 손을 돌려 그들의 대적들을 쳤을 것이요, I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15 주를 미워하는 자들은 그에게 복종하였으려니와 그들의 시대는 영원히 지속되었으리라. The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16 또한 그가 가장 좋은 밀로 그들을 먹이고 바위에서 나오는 꿀로 내가 너를 만족하게 하였으리라, 하셨도다. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
