| 1 | 주께서 집을 세우지 아니하시면 그것을 세우는 자들의 수고가 헛되며 주께서 도시를 지키지 아니하시면 파수꾼의 깨어 있음이 헛되도다. | Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. |
| 2 | 너희가 일찍 일어나고 늦도록 앉아 있으며 고통의 빵을 먹음이 헛되도다. 이처럼 그분께서 자신이 사랑하는 자에게 잠을 주시는도다. | It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. |
