| 1 | 이제 블레셋 사람들은 자기들의 모든 군대를 아벡에 함께 모았고 이스라엘 사람들은 예스르엘에 있는 샘 옆에 진을 쳤더라. | Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel. |
| 2 | 블레셋 사람들의 귀족들은 수백 명씩 수천 명씩 나아가되 다윗과 그의 사람들은 아기스와 함께 후위대에서 나아갔더니 | And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with Achish. |
| 3 | 그때에 블레셋 사람들의 통치자들이 이르되, 이 히브리 사람들이 여기서 무엇을 하나이까? 하매 아기스가 블레셋 사람들의 통치자들에게 이르되, 이 사람은 이스라엘 왕 사울의 신하 다윗이 아니냐? 그가 나와 함께 이 여러 날 혹은 이 여러 해 동안 있었으되 그가 내게로 넘어온 날부터 이 날까지 내가 그에게서 아무 잘못도 찾지 못하였노라, 하니 | Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day? |
| 4 | 블레셋 사람들의 통치자들이 그에게 노하니라. 블레셋 사람들의 통치자들이 그에게 이르되, 이자를 돌려보내어 그가 왕이 그를 위해 정해 준 그의 처소로 다시 가게 하소서. 그가 우리와 함께 싸우러 내려가게 하지 말지니 그가 싸움터에서 우리의 대적이 될까 염려하나이다. 그가 무엇으로 자기 주인과 화해하리이까? 이 사람들의 머리가 아니니이까? | And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men? |
| 5 | 그들이 춤추며 서로 노래하여 이르되, 사울이 죽인 자는 수천이요, 다윗은 수만이로다, 하던 자가 이 다윗이 아니니이까? 하니라. | Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands? |
| 6 | ¶이에 아기스가 다윗을 불러 그에게 이르되, 주께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하거니와 분명히 네가 올바르며 네가 내게 온 날부터 이 날까지 내가 네게서 악을 보지 못하였으므로 네가 나와 함께 군대 안에서 나가고 들어오는 것이 내 눈앞에서는 좋게 보이나 그럼에도 불구하고 귀족들이 네게 호감을 갖지 아니하니 | Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the Lord liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not. |
| 7 | 그런즉 이제 너는 돌이켜 평안히 가서 블레셋 사람들의 귀족들을 노엽게 하지 말라, 하니라. | Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines. |
| 8 | ¶다윗이 아기스에게 이르되, 그러나 내가 무엇을 하였나이까? 내가 이 날까지 당신과 함께 있는 동안 당신이 당신의 종에게서 무엇을 보셨기에 내가 가서 내 주 왕의 원수들과 싸우지 못하게 하시나이까? 하매 | And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king? |
| 9 | 아기스가 다윗에게 대답하여 이르되, 네가 내 눈앞에서 하나님의 천사같이 선한 줄을 내가 아나 그럼에도 불구하고 블레셋 사람들의 통치자들은 말하기를, 그가 우리와 함께 싸우러 올라가지 못하리라, 하였나니 | And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle. |
| 10 | 그런즉 이제 너와 함께 온 네 주인의 신하들과 더불어 아침에 일찍 일어나라. 너희는 아침에 일찍 일어나 밝거든 곧 떠나라, 하매 | Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master’s servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart. |
| 11 | 이에 다윗과 그의 사람들이 아침에 일찍 일어나서 떠나 블레셋 사람들의 땅으로 돌아가고 블레셋 사람들은 예스르엘로 올라가니라. | So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel. |
