| 1 | 모세가 이스라엘 자손에 관해 지파들의 우두머리들에게 말하여 이르되, 주께서 명령하신 것이 이러하니라. | And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded. |
| 2 | 사람이 주께 서원하거나 자기 혼을 속박하기로 서약으로 맹세하거든 그는 자기 말을 깨지 말고 자기 입에서 나오는 모든 것에 따라 행할지니라. | If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. |
| 3 | 또 만일 여자가 어려서 자기 아버지 집에 있을 때에 주께 서원하여 자기를 속박하기로 서약으로 맹세하였는데 | If a woman also vow a vow unto the Lord, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth; |
| 4 | 그녀의 아버지가 그녀의 서원이나 혹은 그녀가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 말한 그녀의 서약을 듣고서도 그녀에게 아무 말도 하지 아니하면 그녀의 모든 서원은 유효하며 그녀가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 말한 모든 서약이 유효하리라. | And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. |
| 5 | 그러나 그녀의 아버지가 그것을 듣는 날에 그녀를 허락하지 아니하면 그녀의 서원이나 그녀가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 말한 그녀의 서약 중에서 어떤 것도 유효하지 아니하리니 그녀의 아버지가 그녀를 허락하지 아니하였은즉 주께서 그녀를 용서하시리라. | But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the Lord shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her. |
| 6 | 또 그녀에게 남편이 있는데 그녀가 서원하거나 혹은 자기 입술로 자기 혼을 속박하려고 조금이라도 말하였을 때에 | And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul; |
| 7 | 그녀의 남편이 그것을 듣고도 그것을 들은 날에 그녀에게 아무 말도 하지 아니하면 그녀의 서원들은 유효하며 그녀가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 말한 서약들이 유효하리라. | And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. |
| 8 | 그러나 그녀의 남편이 그것을 듣는 날에 그녀를 허락하지 아니하면 그는 그녀가 서원한 그녀의 서원과 그녀가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 자기 입술로 말한 것을 무효로 만들지니 그리하면 주께서 그녀를 용서하시리라. | But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the Lord shall forgive her. |
| 9 | 그러나 과부나 이혼 당한 여자가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 말한 모든 서약은 그녀에게 유효하리라. | But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her. |
| 10 | 만일 그녀가 자기 남편의 집에서 서원을 하였거나 혹은 자기 혼을 속박하려고 맹세로 서약하였을 때에 | And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath; |
| 11 | 그녀의 남편이 그것을 듣고도 그녀에게 아무 말도 하지 아니하고 그녀를 금하지도 아니하면 그녀의 모든 서원이 유효하며 그녀가 자기 혼을 속박하려고 말한 모든 서약이 유효하리라. | And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. |
| 12 | 그러나 그녀의 남편이 그것들을 듣는 날에 그것들을 철저히 무효로 만들면 그녀의 서원이나 혹은 그녀의 혼을 속박하려던 일에 관하여 그녀의 입술에서 나온 것은 무엇이든지 유효하지 아니하리니 그녀의 남편이 그것들을 무효로 만들었은즉 주께서 그녀를 용서하시리라. | But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the Lord shall forgive her. |
| 13 | 모든 서원과 혼을 괴롭게 하도록 속박하는 모든 맹세는 그녀의 남편이 그것을 굳게 세울 수도 있고 무효로 만들 수도 있느니라. | Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void. |
| 14 | 그러나 그녀의 남편이 날이 지나도 그녀에게 아무 말도 하지 아니하면 그는 그녀의 모든 서원이나 그녀 위에 있는 모든 서약을 굳게 세우나니 그가 그것들을 들은 날에 그녀에게 아무 말도 하지 아니하였으므로 그것들을 확정하였느니라. | But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them. |
| 15 | 그러나 그가 그것들을 들은 뒤에 어찌하든지 그것들을 무효로 만들면 그가 그녀의 불법을 담당할 것이니라. | But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity. |
| 16 | 이것들은 주께서 모세에게 명령하신 법규로서 남자와 그의 아내와 또 아버지와 그의 딸 곧 아직 어려서 자기 아버지 집에 거하는 딸에 관한 것이니라. | These are the statutes, which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father’s house. |
