| 6 | 이러한 부류 중에 슬그머니 집으로 들어가 미련한 여자들을 포로로 사로잡는 자들이 있는데 이런 여자들은 죄들로 눌려 있고 여러 가지 욕심에 이끌려 | For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, |

| 8 | 그런데 얀네와 얌브레가 모세를 대적한 것 같이 이들도 진리를 거역하나니 이들은 마음이 부패한 자들이요 믿음에 관하여는 버림받은 자들이니라. | Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. |

| 11 | 안디옥과 이고니움과 루스드라에서 내게 닥친 핍박과 고난을 잘 알았으며 내가 어떠한 핍박을 견디어 냈는지 잘 알았느니라. 그러나 주께서 그 모든 것 가운데서 나를 건져 내셨느니라. | Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. |
| 12 | 참으로 그리스도 예수님 안에서 하나님의 뜻대로 살고자 하는 모든 자는 핍박을 받을 터이나 | Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. |
| 13 | 악한 자들과 유혹하는 자들은 점점 더 악하여져서 속이기도 하고 속기도 하리라. | But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. |
| 14 | 그러나 너는 배워서 확신하게 된 것들 안에 거하라. 네가 그것들을 누구에게서 배운 줄 알며 | But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; |
| 15 | 또 어린아이 때부터 네가 거룩한 성경 기록들을 알았나니 그것들은 능히 너를 지혜롭게 하여 그리스도 예수님 안에 있는 믿음을 통해 구원에 이르게 하느니라. | And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. |
| 16 | 모든 성경 기록은 하나님의 영감으로 주신 것으로 교리와 책망과 바로잡음과 의로 교육하기에 유익하니 | All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: |
