| 1 | 너희 중에 누가 다른 사람과 문제가 있을 때에 감히 불의한 자들 앞에서 고소하고 성도들 앞에서 하지 아니하느냐? | Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? |
| 2 | 성도들이 세상을 판단할 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 세상도 너희에게 판단을 받겠거든 너희가 가장 작은 문제들을 판단하는 것도 감당하지 못하느냐? | Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? |
| 3 | 우리가 천사들을 판단할 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 하물며 이 세상 삶에 속한 일들은 얼마나 더 많이 판단하겠느냐? | Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? |
| 4 | 그런즉 너희가 만일 이 세상 삶에 속한 일들을 판단하려거든 교회 안에서 가장 작게 여기는 자들을 세워 판단하게 하라. | If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. |
| 5 | 내가 너희를 부끄럽게 하려고 말하노라. 너희 가운데 지혜로운 사람이 하나도 없다니 그 말이 사실이냐? 자기 형제들 사이에서 판단할 수 있는 자가 단 하나도 없느냐? | I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? |
| 6 | 오히려 형제가 형제를 고소하며 그것도 믿지 않는 자들 앞에서 하는도다. | But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. |
| 7 | 그러므로 이제 너희 가운데 전적으로 허물이 있나니 이는 너희가 서로를 고소하기 때문이라. 어찌하여 너희가 차라리 부당한 일을 당하지 아니하느냐? 어찌하여 차라리 빼앗기지 아니하느냐? | Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? |
| 8 | 아니라, 너희가 부당한 일을 행하고 속여 빼앗되 그것도 너희 형제들에게 그리하는도다. | Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. |
| 9 | 불의한 자가 하나님의 왕국을 상속받지 못할 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 속지 말라. 음행하는 자나 우상 숭배자나 간음하는 자나 여성화된 남자나 남자와 더불어 자신을 욕되게 하는 남자나 | Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, |
| 10 | 도둑질하는 자나 탐욕을 부리는 자나 술 취하는 자나 욕하는 자나 착취하는 자들은 하나님의 왕국을 상속받지 못하리라. | Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. |
| 11 | 너희 중에 이 같은 자들이 더러 있었으나 너희가 우리 하나님의 영을 통해 주 예수님의 이름으로 씻기고 거룩히 구별되어 의롭게 되었느니라. | And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. |
| 12 | 모든 것이 내게 적법하나 모든 것이 적절하지는 아니하며 모든 것이 나를 위해 적법하나 내가 어떤 것의 권능 아래에도 놓이지 아니하리라. | All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. |
| 13 | 음식들은 배를 위해 있고 배는 음식들을 위해 있거니와 하나님께서는 그것과 그것들을 다 멸하시리라. 이제 몸은 음행을 위해 있지 아니하고 주를 위해 있으며 주께서는 몸을 위해 계시느니라. | Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. |
| 14 | 하나님께서 주를 일으키셨고 또한 자신의 권능으로 우리도 일으키시리라. | And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. |
| 15 | 너희 몸이 그리스도의 지체인 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 그런즉 내가 그리스도의 지체를 취하여 창녀의 지체로 만들겠느냐? 결코 그럴 수 없느니라. | Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. |
| 16 | 도대체 무슨 말이냐? 창녀와 결합하는 자는 한 몸인 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 그분께서 이르시되, 둘이 한 육체가 되리라, 하시느니라. | What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. |
| 17 | 그러나 주와 결합하는 자는 한 영이니라. | But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. |
| 18 | 음행을 피하라. 사람이 행하는 모든 죄는 몸 밖에 있거니와 음행하는 자는 자기 몸에 죄를 짓느니라. | Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. |
| 19 | 도대체 무슨 말이냐? 너희 몸이 너희가 하나님에게서 받은바 너희 안에 계신 성령님의 전인 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐? 너희는 너희 자신의 것이 아니니 | What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? |
| 20 | 주께서 값을 치르고 너희를 사셨느니라. 그런즉 하나님의 것인 너희 몸과 너희 영으로 하나님께 영광을 돌리라. | For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. |
