PSAL. XLI. / 1 Gods care of the poore. 4 Dauid complaineth of his enemies trecherie. 10 He flyeth to God for succour. / To the chiefe Musician. A Psalme of Dauid.
Blessed is he that considereth the poore; the Lord will deliuer him in time of trouble.
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
The Lord will preserue him, and keepe him aliue, and he shall be blessed vpon the earth; and thou wilt not deliuer him vnto the will of his enemies. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
The Lord will strengthen him vpon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sicknesse. The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
I sayd, Lord be mercifull vnto me, heale my soule, for I haue sinned against thee. I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
Mine enemies speake euill of me: when shall hee die, and his name perish? Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
And if hee come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquitie to it selfe, when he goeth abroad, he telleth it. And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
All that hate me, whisper together against me; against me doe they deuise my hurt. All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
An euill disease, say they, cleaueth fast vnto him; and now that he lyeth, he shall rise vp no more. An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Yea mine owne familiar friend in whom I trusted, which did eate of my bread, hath lift vp his heele against me. Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
But thou, O Lord, be mercifull vnto mee, and raise me up vp that I may requite them. But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
By this I know that thou fauourest me: because mine enemie doeth not triumph ouer me. By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
And as for me, thou vpholdest me in mine integritie; and settest me before thy face for euer. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
Blessed bee the Lord God of Israel, from euerlasting, and to euerlasting. Amen, and Amen. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
