1	호세아가 가출한 아내를 찾아오다 야훼께서 나에게 이르셨다. "너는 정부와 놀아난 네 아내를 찾아가 다시 사랑해 주어라. 이스라엘 백성이 다른 신에게 마음이 팔려 건포도 과자 따위나 좋아하는데도 이 야훼가 여전히 사랑하는 것처럼, 사랑해 주어라."	Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
2	나는 은 열다섯 세겔과 보리 한 호멜 반을 가지고 가서 그 여인을 산 뒤에	So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
3	이렇게 일렀다. "당신은 내 아내니, 다른 남자와 어울려 불의한 관계를 맺지 말고 들어앉아 있으시오. 그렇게 오래 지낸 뒤에야 당신과 한 자리에 들리다."	And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
4	이스라엘 백성도 그처럼 오랫동안 왕도 대신도 없고 희생제물도 석상도 없으며 에봇도 수호신도 없이 지낼 것이다.	For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5	그런 뒤에야 이스라엘 백성은 다시 저희 하느님인 야훼를 찾고, 저희 왕 다윗도 찾아오게 되리라. 먼 훗날 그 때가 되면, 이스라엘은 벅찬 마음으로 야훼께 돌아와 온갖 좋은 것을 다 받으리라.	Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.
