1	모압에 내릴 재앙 모압에 이런 선언이 내려졌다. 아르가 침략당하던 밤에 모압이 거꾸러졌다. 키르가 침략당하던 밤에 모압이 거꾸러졌다.	The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;
2	사람들이 디본의 신전으로 올라가고 제사 지내는 언덕으로 곡하러 올라간다. 모압은 느보 산 위에서, 메드바에서 통곡하고 모두들 머리를 밀고 수염을 깎는다.	He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off.
3	길거리에서 삼베를 허리에 두르고 지붕에 올라가서 통곡한다. 모두들 광장에서 통곡하니 눈물이 바다를 이루는구나.	In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly.
4	헤스본과 엘랄레가 소리지르니 그 소리가 야하스에까지 들린다. 모압은 온통 몸을 떨고 그 속까지 부들부들 떨고 있다.	And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.
5	모압은 제 모양을 보고 마음이 아파 그 피난민은 소알로 피하여 울면서 루힛의 언덕길을 올라가고 호로나임 길에서 비통하게 울부짖는다.	My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.
6	아, 니므림의 물이 말라 사막이 되어 풀은 시들고 목초는 타서 푸성귀란 볼 수가 없구나.	For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing.
7	남겨두고 쌓아두었던 것을 가지고 사람들은 버들개울을 건너간다.	Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
8	그들의 아우성이 모압 온 땅에 사무치고 그들의 곡성이 에글라임에까지 이르니 엘림 샘터까지 그 곡성이 울려 퍼지는구나.	For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beer–elim.
9	디본의 물줄기마다 피가 가득하리니 디본에게 내리는 또 하나 다른 재앙으로 사자를 보내어 모압의 피난민들과 그 땅에 살아 남은 자들을 찢게 하리라.	For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
