1	이스라엘 백성 중에서 뽑힌 십사만 사천 명 그 뒤에 내가 보니 땅 네 모퉁이에 천사가 하나씩 서서 땅의 네 바람을 제지하여 땅에나 바다에나 어떤 나무에도 불지 못하게 하고 있었습니다.	And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2	또 보니 다른 천사 하나가 살아 계신 하느님의 도장을 가지고 해 돋는 쪽에서 올라오고 있었습니다. 그는 땅과 바다를 해칠 수 있는 권한을 받은 네 천사에게 큰소리로	And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3	"우리가 우리 하느님의 종들의 이마에 이 도장을 찍을 때까지는 땅이나 바다나 나무들을 해치지 마라." 하고 외쳤습니다.	Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4	그리고 내가 들은 바로는 도장을 받은 자들의 수효가 십사만 사천 명이었습니다. 이와 같이 이마에 도장을 받은 자들은 이스라엘 자손의 모든 지파에서 나온 사람들이었습니다.	And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5	도장 받은 자는 유다 지파에서 일만 이천 명 르우벤 지파에서 일만 이천 명 가드 지파에서 일만 이천 명	Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6	아셀 지파에서 일만 이천 명 납달리 지파에서 일만 이천 명 므나쎄 지파에서 일만 이천 명	Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7	시므온 지파에서 일만 이천 명 레위 지파에서 일만 이천 명 이싸갈 지파에서 일만 이천 명	Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8	즈불룬 지파에서 일만 이천 명 요셉 지파에서 일만 이천 명 베냐민 지파에서 일만 이천 명이었습니다.	Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
9	모든 나라에서 온 군중 그 뒤에 나는 아무도 그 수효를 셀 수 없을 만큼 많은 사람이 모인 군중을 보았습니다. 그들은 모든 나라와 민족과 백성과 언어에서 나온 자들로서 흰 두루마기를 입고 손에 종려나무 가지를 들고서 옥좌와 어린 양 앞에 서 있었습니다.	After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10	그리고 그들은 큰소리로 "구원을 주시는 분은 옥좌에 앉아 계신 우리 하느님과 어린 양이십니다." 하고 외쳤습니다.	And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11	그러자 천사들은 모두 옥좌와 원로들과 네 생물을 둘러서 있다가 옥좌 앞에 엎드려 하느님께 경배하며	And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12	"아멘, 우리 하느님께서 영원 무궁토록 찬양과 영광과 지혜와 감사와 영예와 권능과 세력을 누리시기를 빕니다. 아멘." 하고 외쳤습니다.	Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13	그 때 그 원로들 가운데 하나가 "흰 두루마기를 입은 이 사람들은 도대체 누구이며 또 어디에서 왔습니까?" 하고 나에게 물었습니다.	And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14	"어른께서 잘 알고 계시지 않습니까?" 하고 내가 대답했더니 그는 나에게 다음과 같이 말했습니다. "저 사람들은 큰 환난을 겪어낸 사람들입니다. 그들은 어린 양이 흘리신 피에 자기들의 두루마기를 빨아 희게 만들었습니다.	And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15	그러므로 그들은 하느님의 옥좌 앞에 있으며 하느님의 성전에서 밤낮으로 그분을 섬기는 것입니다. 그리고 옥좌에 앉으신 분이 그들을 가려주실 것입니다.	Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16	그들이 다시는 주리지도 목마르지도 않을 것이며 태양이나 어떤 뜨거운 열도 그들을 괴롭히지 못할 것이요,	They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17	옥좌 한가운데 계신 어린 양이 그들의 목자가 되셔서 그들을 생명의 샘터로 인도하실 것이며 하느님께서는 그들의 눈에서 눈물을 말끔히 씻어주실 것입니다."	For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
