1	여자와 용 그리고 하늘에는 큰 표징이 나타났습니다. 한 여자가 태양을 입고 달을 밟고 별이 열두 개 달린 월계관을 머리에 쓰고 나타났습니다.	And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2	그 여자는 뱃속에 아이를 가졌으며 해산의 진통과 괴로움 때문에 울고 있었습니다.	And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3	또 다른 표징이 하늘에 나타났습니다. 이번에는 큰 붉은 용이 나타났는데 일곱 머리와 열 뿔을 가졌고 머리마다 왕관이 씌워져 있었습니다.	And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4	그 용은 자기 꼬리로 하늘의 별 삼분의 일을 휩쓸어 땅으로 내던졌습니다. 그리고는 막 해산하려는 그 여자가 아기를 낳기만 하면 그 아기를 삼켜버리려고 그 여자 앞에 지켜 서 있었습니다.	And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5	마침내 그 여자는 아들을 낳았습니다. 그 아기는 장차 쇠지팡이로 만국을 다스릴 분이었습니다. 별안간 그 아기는 하느님과 그분의 옥좌가 있는 곳으로 들려 올라갔고	And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6	그 여자는 광야로 도망을 쳤습니다. 그 곳은 하느님께서 천이백육십 일 동안 그 여자를 먹여 살리시려고 마련해 두신 곳이었습니다.	And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7	그 때 하늘에서는 전쟁이 터졌습니다. 천사 미가엘이 자기 부하 천사들을 거느리고 그 용과 싸우게 된 것입니다. 그 용은 자기 부하들을 거느리고 맞서 싸웠지만	And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8	당해 내지 못했습니다. 그래서 하늘에는 그들이 발붙일 자리조차 없었습니다.	And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9	그 큰 용은 악마라고도 하고 사탄이라고도 하며 온 세계를 속여서 어지럽히던 늙은 뱀인데, 이제 그 놈은 땅으로 떨어졌고 그 부하들도 함께 떨어졌습니다.	And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10	그 때 나는 하늘에서 큰 음성이 이렇게 말하는 것을 들었습니다. "우리 형제들을 무고하던 자들은 쫓겨났다. 밤낮으로 우리 하느님 앞에서 우리 형제들을 무고하던 자들이 쫓겨났다. 이제 우리 하느님의 구원과 권능과 나라가 나타났고 하느님께서 세우신 그리스도의 권세가 나타났다.	And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11	우리 형제들은 어린 양이 흘린 피와 자기들이 증언한 진리의 힘으로 그 악마를 이겨냈다. 그들은 목숨을 아끼지 않고 죽기까지 싸웠다.	And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12	그러므로 하늘과 그 안에 사는 자들아, 즐거워하여라. 그러나 제 때가 얼마 남지 않은 것을 깨달은 악마가 크게 노하여 너희에게 내려갔으니 땅과 바다는 화를 입을 것이다."	Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13	그 용은 자기가 땅에 떨어진 것을 깨닫자 그 사내 아이를 낳은 여자를 쫓아갔습니다.	And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14	그러나 그 여자는 큰 독수리의 두 날개를 받아 가지고 있어서 광야에 있는 자기 처소로 날아가 거기에서 삼 년 반 동안 그 뱀의 공격을 받지 않고 먹고 살 수 있었습니다.	And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15	그 뱀은 그 여자의 뒤에서 입으로부터 강물처럼 물을 토해 내어 그 물로 여자를 휩쓸어버리려고 했습니다.	And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16	그러나 땅이 입을 벌려 용이 토해 낸 강물을 마시어 그 여자를 구해 냈습니다.	And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17	그러자 용은 그 여자에 대하여 화가 치밀었습니다. 그리고 하느님의 계명을 지키고 예수를 위해서 증언하는 일에 충성스러운 그 여자의 남은 자손들과 싸우려고 떠나가	And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
18	바닷가에 섰습니다.	—
