1	천사와 두루마리 또 나는 힘센 다른 천사 하나가 하늘로부터 내려오는 것을 보았습니다. 그는 구름에 싸여 있었고 그의 머리에는 무지개가 둘려 있었으며 얼굴은 태양과 같았고 발은 불기둥과 같았습니다.	And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2	그리고 손에는 작은 두루마리를 펴 들고 있었습니다. 그는 오른발로는 바다를 디디고 왼발로는 땅을 디디고	And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3	마치 사자가 으르렁대는 것처럼 큰소리로 부르짖었습니다. 그가 고함을 지르자 일곱 천둥이 각각 제 소리를 내며 말을 했습니다.	And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4	그 일곱 천둥이 말할 때에 내가 그것을 기록하려고 하자, "그 일곱 천둥이 말한 것을 비밀에 붙여두고 기록하지 마라." 하는 음성이 하늘로부터 들려왔습니다.	And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5	내가 본 그 천사, 곧 바다와 땅을 디디고 서 있던 천사가 오른손을 하늘로 쳐들고	And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6	하늘과 그 안에 있는 것들, 땅과 그 안에 있는 것들, 그리고 바다와 그 안에 있는 것들을 창조하시고 영원 무궁토록 살아 계시는 분을 두고 맹세하며 "시간은 얼마 남지 않았다.	And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7	이제 일곱째 천사가 나팔을 불 터인데 그 소리가 나는 날에는 하느님께서 당신의 종 예언자들에게 전해 주신 대로 하느님의 신비로운 계획이 완성될 것이다." 하고 다짐했습니다.	But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8	하늘로부터 들려오던 그 음성은 나에게 다시 이렇게 말했습니다. "너는 바다와 땅을 디디고 서 있는 그 천사에게 가서 그 손에 펴 든 두루마리를 받아라."	And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9	그래서 나는 그 천사에게 가서 그 작은 두루마리를 달라고 했습니다. 그 때 그 천사는 나에게 "이것을 받아 삼켜버려라. 이것이 네 입에는 꿀같이 달겠지만, 네 배에 들어가면 배를 아프게 할 것이다." 하고 말했습니다.	And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10	그래서 나는 그 천사의 손에서 작은 두루마리를 받아 삼켰습니다. 과연 그것이 내 입에는 꿀같이 달았지만 먹고 나니 배가 아팠습니다.	And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11	그 때 "너는 여러 백성들과 민족들과 언어들과 왕들에 관해서 다시 예언을 해야 한다." 하는 음성이 나에게 들려왔습니다.	And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
