1	우찌야의 유다 통치 아마지야의 아들 우찌야가 유다 왕이 된 것은 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 제이십칠년의 일이었다.	In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2	그는 십육 세에 왕위에 올라 예루살렘에서 오십이 년 동안 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 예루살렘 출신으로서 이름을 여골리야라고 하였다.	Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3	그는 부왕 아마지야가 그러하였듯이 야훼 보시기에 옳은 일을 행하였다.	And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4	그러나 산당은 그대로 존속시켰으므로 백성들이 여전히 그 산당에서 희생제를 드리고 향을 피웠다.	Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5	우찌야 왕은 야훼께 맞아 나병환자로서 여생을 보냈다. 그는 세자 요담에게 왕궁의 일과 나라 일을 맡기고 뒤로 물러나 홀로 지냈다.	And the Lord smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6	우찌야의 나머지 치적과 행적은 유다 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7	우찌야는 선조들과 함께 잠들어 다윗 성 안에 안장되었다. 그의 아들 요담이 왕위를 계승하였다.	So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
8	즈가리야의 이스라엘 통치 여로보암의 아들 즈가리야가 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제삼십팔년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 육 개월간 다스렸다.	In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.
9	그는 선조들이 그러하였던 것과 같이 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 그는 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 떠나지 못하고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
10	야베스의 아들 살룸이 반란을 일으켜 이블르암에서 그를 죽이고 왕위를 빼앗았다.	And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
11	즈가리야의 나머지 치적은 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12	야훼께서 예후에게 "네 자손이 사 대까지 이스라엘의 왕위를 이으리라." 하신 말씀이 그대로 이루어졌던 것이다.	This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.
13	살룸의 이스라엘 통치 야베스의 아들 살룸이 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제삼십구년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 일 개월간 다스렸다.	Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
14	가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서 반란을 일으켜 사마리아로 쳐 올라와서 야베스의 아들 살룸을 죽이고 왕위를 빼앗았다.	For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15	살룸의 나머지 치적과 그가 꾸몄던 음모는 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16	왕이 되고 나서 므나헴은 성문을 열어주지 않던 다부아 성을 쳐 그 안에 살던 사람을 모두 죽이고 디르사에서 시작하여 온 지역을 쳤다. 심지어 임신한 여자들의 배를 가르기까지 하였다.	Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17	므나헴의 이스라엘 통치 가디의 아들 므나헴이 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제삼십구년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 십 년간 다스렸다.	In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18	그는 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 떠나지 않고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다. 그가 다스리던 때에	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19	아시리아 왕 불이 이스라엘을 침입한 일이 있었다. 므나헴은 왕의 자리를 지키도록 도와달라고 하며 은 천 달란트를 불에게 주었다.	And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20	그 은은 이스라엘의 모든 부자에게 각각 오십 세겔씩 내도록 하여 거둔 것이었다. 이 돈을 받고 아시리아 왕은 이스라엘 땅에 머무르지 아니하고 돌아갔다.	And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.
21	므나헴의 나머지 치적과 행적은 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
22	므나헴이 선조들과 함께 잠들자 그의 아들 브가히야가 왕위를 계승하였다.	And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.
23	브가히야의 이스라엘 통치 므나헴의 아들 브가히야가 이스라엘 왕위에 오른 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제오십년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 이 년간 다스렸다.	In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
24	그는 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 버리지 않고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
25	르말리야의 아들 베가가 그의 부관이었는데 반란을 일으켰다. 그는 길르앗 사람 오십 명을 거느리고 사마리아 왕궁 성루에 쳐들어가 왕을 죽이고 왕위를 빼앗았다.	But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.
26	브가히야의 나머지 치적과 모든 행적은 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
27	베가의 이스라엘 통치 르말리야의 아들 베가가 이스라엘의 왕위에 오른 것은 유다 왕 우찌야 제오십이년의 일이었다. 그는 사마리아에서 이십 년간 다스렸다.	In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
28	그는 야훼 보시기에 악한 일을 행하였다. 이스라엘을 죄에 빠뜨렸던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 버리지 않았고 그 악습을 되풀이하였다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
29	베가가 이스라엘의 왕위에 있을 때 아시리아 왕 디글랏빌레셀이 쳐들어와서 이욘, 아벨벳마아가, 야노아, 케데스, 하솔, 길르앗, 갈릴리와 납달리 전지역을 장악하고 백성들을 사로잡아 아시리아로 끌고 갔다.	In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath–pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel–beth–maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
30	우찌야의 아들 요담 제이십년에 엘라의 아들 호세아가 반란을 일으켜 르말리야의 아들 베가를 죽이고 왕위를 빼앗았다.	And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
31	베가의 나머지 치적과 행적은 이스라엘 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
32	요담의 유다 통치 유다 왕 우찌야의 아들 요담이 왕위에 오른 것은 이스라엘 왕 르말리야의 아들 베가 제이년의 일이었다.	In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.
33	그는 이십오 세에 왕위에 즉위하여 예루살렘에서 십육 년간 다스렸다. 그의 어머니는 사독의 딸 여루사였다.	Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
34	그는 부왕 우찌야가 그러했듯이 야훼 보시기에 옳은 일을 행하였다.	And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
35	그러나 산당은 여전히 남겨두었으므로 백성들이 그 산당에서 번제를 드리고 향을 피웠다. 그가 바로 야훼의 전 윗대문을 세운 장본인이다.	Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.
36	요담의 나머지 치적과 행적은 유다 왕조실록에 기록되어 있다.	Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
37	이 시대에 야훼께서는 시리아 왕 르신과 이스라엘 왕 르말리야의 아들 베가를 시켜 유다를 공격하기 시작하셨다.	In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
38	요담은 그 선조들과 함께 잠들어 조상 다윗의 성에 안장되었다. 그의 아들 아하즈가 뒤를 이어 왕위에 올랐다.	And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
