1	요르단 동쪽 부족들 이스라엘의 맏아들 르우벤의 계보. 그는 아버지의 소실을 범한 탓으로 맏아들의 상속권을 동생 요셉의 두 아들에게 넘겨주고 맏아들이면서도 족보에 맏아들로 오르지 못했다.	Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2	유다가 동기들 가운데서는 세력이 컸으므로 그의 혈통에서 영도자가 났으나 장자권만은 요셉에게 있었다.	For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)
3	이스라엘의 맏아들 르우벤의 아들들은 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 가르미였다.	The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4	요엘의 아들은 스마야, 그 다음 대는 곡, 그 다음 대는 시므이,	The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5	그 다음 대는 미가, 그 다음 대는 르아야, 그 다음 대는 바알,	Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6	그 다음 대는 브에라이다. 이 브에라가 르우벤 지파의 대표로서 아시리아 황제 디글랏빌레셀에게 사로잡혀 간 사람이다.	Beerah his son, whom Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7	그의 일족으로서 갈래를 따라 족보에 오른 사람 가운데는 추장 여이엘과 즈가리야와	And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8	벨라가 있다. 벨라의 아버지는 아자즈, 그 윗대는 세마, 그 윗대는 요엘이다. 르우벤 지파는 아로엘을 중심으로 느보와 바알므온에까지 흩어져 살았고,	And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal–meon:
9	동쪽으로는 유프라테스 강까지 이어진 사막 지대에 흩어져 살았다. 길르앗 지방이 너무 좁아서 그 많은 양떼를 칠 수가 없었던 것이다.	And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10	그들은 사울이 통치하던 시대에 하그리인들을 쳐서 정복하고는 하그리인들의 천막을 차지하고 길르앗 동쪽 전지역에 흩어져 살았다.	And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11	가드의 후손들은 르우벤의 후손들과 이웃하여 바산 지방에서 살가까지 흩어져 살았다.	And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
12	바산에서 살던 그들의 추장은 요엘이었고 부추장은 사밤, 재판관은 야아내였다.	Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13	그들 일족의 가문들을 대표하는 사람은 미가엘, 므술람, 세바, 요래, 야간, 지아, 에벨 일곱 사람이었다.	And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14	이들은 아비하일의 아들들이었는데, 아비하일의 아버지는 후리, 그 윗대는 야로아, 그 윗대는 길르앗, 그 윗대는 미가엘, 그 윗대는 여시새, 그 윗대는 야흐도, 그 윗대는 부즈이다.	These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15	그들 여러 가문의 수령은 아히였는데 그는 구니의 손자요 압디엘의 아들이다.	Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16	그들은 국경에 이르기까지 길르앗과 바산과 거기에 딸린 마을들과 사론의 여러 목장에 흩어져 살았다.	And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17	이상은 모두 유다 왕 요담과 이스라엘 왕 여로보암이 다스리던 시대의 족보에 올라 있다.	All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18	르우벤과 가드와 므나쎄 반쪽 지파에는 방패와 칼을 들고 활을 쏘며 싸울 만큼 군사 훈련을 잘 받은 군인이 사만 사천칠백육십 명이나 있었다.	The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19	그들은 하그리인을 비롯하여 여툴, 나비스, 노답과 싸움을 벌이면서 하느님께	And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20	싸움에서 이기게 해달라고 부르짖었다. 하느님께서는 그들이 믿으며 드리는 기도를 듣고 도와주셨다. 이리하여 그들은 하그리 동맹군을 모두 쳐부수고	And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21	낙타 오만 마리, 양 이십오만 마리, 나귀 이천 마리 등, 많은 가축을 빼앗아 오고 사람도 십만 명이나 사로잡아 왔다.	And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22	이것은 야훼께서 일으키신 전쟁인 만큼 적군은 많은 전사자를 내었다. 그들은 그 땅에 자리를 잡고 포로로 붙잡혀 가기까지 거기에서 살았다.	For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23	므나쎄 반쪽 지파는 바산에서 바알헤르몬과 스닐과 헤르몬 산에 이르는 지역 일대에 자리를 잡았다. 그만큼 인구가 많이 불어났다.	And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal–hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24	그들 각 가문의 수령은 에벨, 이스이, 엘리엘, 아즈리엘, 예레미야, 호다야, 야흐디엘로서 이들 각 가문의 수령들은 다 이름난 장사들이었다.	And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25	그러나 그들은 저희의 선조들을 보살펴 주시던 하느님을 배신하고, 하느님께서 멸하신 그 고장 백성의 신들에게 몸을 팔아 음행을 저질렀다.	And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26	그래서 이스라엘의 하느님께서는 아시리아 왕 불의 마음을 부추겨 르우벤, 가드, 므나쎄 반쪽 지파 사람들을 사로잡아 할라, 하볼, 하라, 고잔 강으로 끌고 가게 하셨다. 아직도 그들은 거기에서 살고 있다. 아시리아 왕 불이란 디글랏빌레셀을 말한다.	And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
27	레위 지파 레위의 아들은 게르손, 크핫, 므라리.	—
28	크핫의 아들은 아므람, 이스할, 헤브론, 우찌엘.	—
29	아므람의 자녀는 아론, 모세와 미리암. 아론의 아들은 나답, 아비후, 엘르아잘, 이다말.	—
30	엘르아잘은 비느하스를 낳았고 비느하스는 아비수아를,	—
31	아비수아는 북키를, 북키는 우찌를,	—
32	우찌는 즈라히야를, 즈라히야는 므라욧을,	—
33	므라욧은 아마리야를, 아마리야는 아히툽을,	—
34	아히툽은 사독을, 사독은 아히마스를,	—
35	아히마스는 아자리야를, 아자리야는 요하난을,	—
36	요하난은 아자리야를 낳았는데, 이 아자리야가 바로 솔로몬이 세운 예루살렘 성전에서 사제로 봉직한 사람이다.	—
37	아자리야는 아마리야를 낳았고 아마리야는 아히툽을,	—
38	아히툽은 사독을, 사독은 살룸을,	—
39	살룸은 힐키야를, 힐키야는 아자리야를,	—
40	아자리야는 스라야를, 스라야는 여호사닥을 낳았는데,	—
41	이 여호사닥이 바로 야훼께서 예루살렘 시민과 유다 백성을 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 가게 하셨을 때 같이 붙잡혀 간 사람이다.	—
