1	사제단 조직 아론 후손은 다음과 같이 반을 편성하였다. 아론에게는 나답, 아비후, 엘르아잘, 이다말이라는 아들들이 있었는데,	Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2	나답과 아비후는 자식을 남기지 않고 아버지보다 먼저 죽어 엘르아잘과 이다말만이 사제가 되었다.	But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.
3	다윗은 엘르아잘 후손인 사독과 이다말 후손인 아히멜렉과 함께 사제들을 갈라서 일을 맡기고 등록시켰다.	And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.
4	그런데 지도자가 될 만한 사람은 이다말 후손보다는 엘르아잘 후손 가운데 더 많았다. 그래서 엘르아잘 후손 가운데서는 수령이 열여섯이 나왔으나 이다말 후손 가운데서는 여덟밖에 나오지 못했다.	And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
5	이렇게 엘르아잘 후손과 이다말 후손 가운데서 하느님을 섬기는 성직자들이 나왔기 때문에, 그들이 각기 할 일을 제비를 뽑아 결정하게 되었다.	Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
6	레위인 느다넬의 아들 스마야는 비서실장이었다. 그가 왕과 대신들과 사독 사제와 에비아달의 아들 아히멜렉 사제 가문의 수령들과 레위 가문의 수령들 앞에서 사제들의 이름을 기록하는데, 엘르아잘 가문에서 두 몫, 이다말 가문에서 한 몫을 뽑았다.	And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
7	제비를 뽑으니 첫째는 여호야립에게, 둘째는 여다야에게,	Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8	셋째는 하림에게, 넷째는 스오림에게,	The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9	다섯째는 말기야에게, 여섯째는 미야민에게,	The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10	일곱째는 하코스에게, 여덟째는 아비야에게,	The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11	아홉째는 예수아에게, 열째는 스가니야에게,	The ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12	열한째는 엘랴십에게, 열두째는 야킴에게,	The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13	열셋째는 후빠에게, 열넷째는 예세브압에게,	The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14	열다섯째는 빌가에게, 열여섯째는 임멜에게,	The fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15	열일곱째는 헤지르에게, 열여덟째는 하삐세스에게,	The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,
16	열아홉째는 브다히야에게, 스무째는 에헤즈켈에게,	The nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,
17	스물한째는 야긴에게, 스물두째는 가물에게,	The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,
18	스물셋째는 들라야에게, 스물넷째는 마아지야에게 떨어졌다.	The three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.
19	그들은 이런 차례로 등록되어 야훼의 성전에 들어가 선조 아론이 이스라엘의 하느님 야훼께 지시받은 규례를 따라 예배를 드리게 되었다.	These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the Lord, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
20	나머지 레위 후손은 이러하다. 아므람 후손 수바엘반에 예흐디야,	And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.
21	르하비야반에 수령 이씨야,	Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
22	이스할파 슬로못반에 야핫,	Of the Izharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Jahath.
23	헤브론파에 수령 여리야, 둘째 아마리야, 셋째 야하지엘, 넷째 여카므암,	And the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24	우찌엘파 미가반에 사밀,	Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.
25	미가의 아우 이씨야반에 즈가리야,	The brother of Michah was Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah; Zechariah.
26	므라리의 후손 마흘리와 무시, 또 그의 아들 야아지야,	The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.
27	므라리의 후손 야아지야의 아들 브노, 소함, 자구르, 이브리.	The sons of Merari by Jaaziah; Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.
28	마흘리파 엘르아잘은 아들이 없었다.	Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.
29	키스파에 여라므엘,	Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Jerahmeel.
30	무시의 후손 마흘리와 에델과 여리못. 이상이 족보별로 본 레위 후손이다.	The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.
31	그들도 일족인 아론 후손들과 나란히 다윗 왕, 사독, 아히멜렉, 사제 가문 수령들, 레위 가문 수령들 앞에서 제비를 뽑았다. 종가나 작은 집이나 동등하게 제비를 뽑았다.	These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
