절	공동번역 개정판 (1999)	King James Version
1	다윗의 전쟁 기록 그 후 다윗 왕은 불레셋을 쳐서 항복받고 갓과 거기에 딸린 마을들을 빼앗았다.	Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2	그는 또 모압을 쳐서 속국으로 삼고 조공을 받았다.	And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
3	또 하맛 쪽에 있는 소바 왕 하다데젤이 유프라테스 강 쪽으로 가서 세력을 굳히려는 것을 쳐	And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
4	병거 천 대를 빼앗고 기병 칠천과 보병 이만을 사로잡았다. 그는 병거 백 대만 남기고 나머지는 모두 못쓰게 부수어버렸다.	And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
5	다마스쿠스에서 아람 군이 소바 왕 하다데젤을 도우려고 오자, 다윗은 아람 군도 쳐서 이만 이천 명을 죽이고	And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
6	다마스쿠스에 주둔군을 두어 아람인들을 다스리게 하였다. 그리하여 아람도 다윗에게 조공을 바치는 속국이 되었다. 이렇게 어디를 가든지 야훼께서는 다윗에게 승리를 안겨주셨다.	Then David put garrisons in Syria–damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.
7	다윗은 하다데젤의 부하들이 몸에 걸고 다니던 금 장신구들을 거두어 예루살렘으로 가져왔다.	And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8	또 하다데젤이 차지하고 있던 티브핫 시와 쿤 시에서는 많은 놋쇠를 가져왔다. 후에 솔로몬은 이것으로 놋바다와 기둥들과 놋그릇을 만들었다.	Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9	하맛 왕 도우는 다윗이 소바 왕 하다데젤의 전군을 무찔렀다는 소식을 듣고	Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;
10	아들 하도람을 다윗 왕에게 보내어 문안을 올리고 하다데젤을 쳐부순 것을 치하하게 하였다. 하다데젤은 도우의 공격을 받는 왕 가운데 하나였다. 하도람은 금과 은과 놋으로 만든 온갖 기물들을 가지고 왔다.	He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
11	다윗 왕은 그것을 에돔, 모압, 암몬, 불레셋, 아말렉, 이 모든 나라에서 가져온 금은과 함께 야훼께 성별하여 바쳤다.	Them also king David dedicated unto the Lord, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12	스루야의 아들 아비새가 사해 골짜기에 사는 에돔 사람 만 팔천 명을 쳐죽이고	Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
13	에돔에 주둔군을 두어 다윗의 속국으로 삼았다. 어디를 가든지 야훼께서는 그에게 승리를 안겨주셨다.	And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David’s servants. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.
14	다윗은 온 이스라엘의 왕으로서 뭇 백성을 공평무사하게 다스렸다.	So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.
15	군총사령관은 스루야의 아들 요압, 공보대신은 아힐롯의 아들 여호사밧,	And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.
16	사제는 아히툽의 아들 사독과 아히멜렉의 아들 에비아달, 비서실장은 사우사,	And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17	그렛 외인부대와 벨렛 외인부대 지휘관은 여호야다의 아들 브나야였다. 왕자들은 왕의 수석 보좌관이 되었다.	And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
