1	레위인들의 성읍 그 때 레위 가문 어른들이 사제 엘르아잘과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 이스라엘 지파 가문의 어른들 앞에 나왔다.	Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2	그들은 가나안 땅 실로에서 이렇게 진정하였다. "우리가 살 성읍과 가축을 칠 인접 목장 지대를 우리에게도 주라고 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 명령하시지 않았습니까?"	And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
3	이스라엘 백성은 야훼의 분부대로 레위 사람들에게 자기들 유산에서 성읍들과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the Lord, these cities and their suburbs.
4	크핫의 후손에게 갈래를 따라 배당된 몫은 아래와 같다. 레위인 가운데서 아론의 후손 사제들에게는 유다, 시므온, 베냐민 지파에서 열세 성읍이 돌아갔다.	And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5	크핫의 다른 후손에게는 갈래를 따라 에브라임, 단, 므나쎄 지파 서반부에서 열 성읍이 돌아갔다.	And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6	게르손 후손에게는 갈래를 따라 이싸갈, 아셀, 납달리, 바산에 있는 므나쎄 지파 동반부에서 열세 성읍이 돌아갔다.	And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7	므라리 후손에게는 갈래를 따라 르우벤, 가드, 즈불룬 지파에서 열두 성읍이 돌아갔다.	The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8	이스라엘 백성은 야훼께서 모세를 시켜 분부하신 대로 추첨으로 이 성읍들과 거기 딸린 목장 지대를 레위 사람들에게 떼어주었다.	And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
9	유다 지파와 시므온 지파에게서 떼어준 성읍들의 이름은 아래와 같다.	And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name,
10	레위 후손 가운데서 아론의 후손 크핫 갈래에게 첫 몫이 나왔기 때문에 이 성읍들이 그들의 차지가 된 것이다.	Which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.
11	그래서 유다 산악 지대에 있는 헤브론이라고도 하는 키럇아르바와 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 그들에게 주었다. 아르바는 아나킴의 조상이었다.	And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.
12	그러나 그 성읍에 딸린 밭과 천막촌들은 여분네의 아들 갈렙의 소유지로 주었다.	But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13	이렇게 아론 사제 후손에게 살인자가 피할 도피성 헤브론, 리브나,	Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,
14	야디르, 에스드모아,	And Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs,
15	홀론, 드빌,	And Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs,
16	아산, 유타, 벳세메스 아홉 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 그 두 지파에서 떼어주었다.	And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Beth–shemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.
17	베냐민 지파에서는 기브온, 게바,	And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs,
18	아나돗, 알몬 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities.
19	이렇게 모두 열세 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대가 아론의 후손 사제들에게 돌아갔다.	All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
20	레위인들 가운데서 나머지 크핫 후손 갈래들에게는 에브라임 지파의 성읍들이 몫으로 돌아갔다.	And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21	그들에게는 에브라임 산악 지대에 있는 도피성 세겜, 게젤,	For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs,
22	킵사임, 벳호론 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Beth–horon with her suburbs; four cities.
23	단 지파에서는 엘드케, 깁돈,	And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbs, Gibbethon with her suburbs,
24	아얄론, 갓림몬 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Aijalon with her suburbs, Gath–rimmon with her suburbs; four cities.
25	므나쎄 지파 서반부에서는 다아낙, 이블르암 두 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gath–rimmon with her suburbs; two cities.
26	이렇게 나머지 크핫 후손에게는 갈래를 따라 모두 열 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대가 돌아갔다.	All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
27	레위인 갈래 가운데서 게르손 후손에게는 바산에 있는 도피성 골란, 아스다롯 두 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 므나쎄 지파 동반부에서 떼어주었다.	And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beesh–terah with her suburbs; two cities.
28	이싸갈 지파에서는 키스욘, 다브랏,	And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbs, Dabareh with her suburbs,
29	야르뭇, 엔간님 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Jarmuth with her suburbs, En–gannim with her suburbs; four cities.
30	아셀 지파에서는 미스알, 압돈,	And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs,
31	헬캇, 르홉 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities.
32	납달리 지파에서는 갈릴리에 있는 살인자의 도피성 케데스, 함못도르, 카르단 세 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammoth–dor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities.
33	이렇게 게르손 사람들에게는 갈래를 따라 모두 열세 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대가 돌아갔다.	All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
34	레위 사람 가운데 남은 므라리 후손 갈래에게는 즈불룬 지파에서 욕느암, 카르다,	And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,
35	림몬, 나할랄 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities.
36	요르단 강 건너편 예리고 동쪽 르우벤 지파에서는 고원 사막 지대에 있는 도피성 베셀, 야하스,	And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs,
37	크데못, 메바앗 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities.
38	가드 지파에서는 도피성 라못길르앗, 마하나임,	And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
39	헤스본, 야젤 네 성읍과 거기에 딸린 목장 지대를 떼어주었다.	Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all.
40	이렇게 나머지 레위인들의 갈래 가운데 므라리 갈래 후손에게는 모두 열두 성읍이 몫으로 돌아갔다.	So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.
41	이렇게 이스라엘 백성이 차지한 영토 가운데서 레위인들에게 떼어준 성읍은 목장 지대까지 붙여서 모두 마흔여덟 곳이었다.	All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.
42	이 성읍들은 각각 목장 지대가 그 주위에 딸려 있었다. 이상의 성읍들이 다 그러했다.	These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
43	이렇게 야훼께서 그들의 조상에게 주겠다고 맹세한 모든 땅을 주셨으므로 이스라엘 백성은 그 땅을 차지하고 정착하였다.	And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44	야훼께서는 그들의 조상들에게 맹세하신 대로 사방에 평화를 주셨다. 원수들 가운데 아무도 감히 그들을 적대해 일어서는 자가 없었다. 야훼께서 그들의 손에 원수들을 부치셨던 것이다.	And the Lord gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45	야훼께서 이스라엘 가문에 약속해 주신 온갖 좋은 일은 하나도 그대로 안 된 일이 없이 다 이루어졌다.	There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
