1	유다 지파의 지경 유다 후손의 지파에게 갈래를 따라 돌아온 몫은 씬 사막으로서 에돔과 접경하고 남쪽을 향해 내려가다가 그 남단까지 이른다.	This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.
2	다시 말하면 남쪽 경계는 짠물호수 끝, 그 호수 남쪽 물굽이에서 시작하여,	And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:
3	아크라삠 비탈 남쪽으로 뻗어 씬을 지나서 카데스바르네아 남쪽으로 올라간다. 거기에서 헤스론을 거쳐 아딸로 올라가다가 다시 카르카로 꺾인다.	And it went out to the south side to Maaleh–acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh–barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:
4	거기에서 아스몬을 지나 이집트 개울로 나가 바다에 이르러 경계가 끝난다. 이것이 너희 남쪽 경계가 될 것이다.	From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.
5	짠물호수가 동쪽 경계를 이루는데 요르단 강이 끝나는 지점까지다. 북쪽 경계선은 요르단 강이 끝나는 호수 물굽이에서 시작된다.	And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:
6	그 경계는 거기에서 벳호글라로 올라가 베다라바 북쪽을 지난다. 그 경계는 르우벤의 아들 보한의 바위까지 올라간다.	And the border went up to Beth–hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth–arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:
7	그 경계는 아골 골짜기로부터 드빌로 올라가서 개울 남쪽에 있는 아둠밈 언덕 맞은편 길갈로 향한다. 그 경계는 다시 엔세메스를 거쳐 엔로겔로 빠지며	And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En–shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En–rogel:
8	벤힌놈 골짜기를 끼고 여부스인의 산 중턱에 있는 예루살렘 남쪽에 이르고 또 서쪽으로 가다가 힌놈 골짜기 맞은편에 있는 산마루로 올라가 르바임 계곡 북단에 이른다.	And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:
9	그 산마루로부터 경계는 다시 넵도아 샘터로 꺾여 에브론 산 성들 쪽으로 빠졌다가 다시 키럇여아림이라고 하는 바알라로 꺾인다.	And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjath–jearim:
10	거기 바알라에서 서편으로 세일 산을 돌아 크살론이라고 하는 여아림 산 북쪽 중턱을 지난다. 거기에서 벳세메스로 내려가 딤나를 거쳐	And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth–shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:
11	에크론 북쪽 산 중턱으로 빠진다. 거기에서 시끄론쪽으로 돌아 바알라 산을 거쳐 얍느엘로 빠진다. 경계는 거기에서 바다에 이르러 끝난다.	And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12	대해 해안선이 서쪽 경계를 이룬다. 이상이 유다 후손의 각 갈래에 배당된 땅의 사면 경계이다.	And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
13	여분네의 아들 갈렙은 야훼께서 여호수아에게 내린 명령을 따라 유다 후손 틈에서 한몫을 차지하게 되었는데 여호수아는 그에게 헤브론이라고 하는 키럇아르바를 주었다. 아르바는 아낙인의 조상이었다.	And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.
14	갈렙은 아낙의 세 갈래 후손인 세새와 아히만과 탈매를 그 곳에서 몰아냈다. 그들은 아낙에게서 난 자손들이었다.	And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
15	거기에서 그는 드빌의 주민들을 쳐 올라갔다. 드빌의 예전 이름은 키럇세벨이었다.	And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjath–sepher.
16	갈렙은 키럇세벨을 쳐서 함락시키는 사람에게 자기 딸 악사를 아내로 주겠다고 선언했는데,	And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath–sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.
17	그 성을 함락시킨 사람은 바로 갈렙의 조카 오드니엘이었다. 그의 아버지 크나즈는 갈렙과 동기간이었다. 갈렙은 그에게 자기의 딸 악사를 아내로 주었다.	And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18	신부가 시집으로 갈 때가 되어, 신랑은 신부를 시켜 아버지에게 밭을 달라고 하였다. 신부가 나귀에서 내리자 갈렙은 무엇을 원하느냐고 물었다.	And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?
19	"저에게 선물을 주십시오. 네겝 지방으로 시집 보내시는 이 마당에 저에게 샘을 몇 개 주십시오." 이 말을 듣고 그의 아버지는 윗샘과 아랫샘을 주었다.	Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
20	이상이 유다 후손 지파에게 갈래를 따라 돌아간 유산이다.	This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
21	네겝 쪽으로 에돔과 접경하고 있는 유다 후손 지파 남단 성읍들은 아래와 같다. 캅스엘, 에델, 야굴,	And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22	키나, 디모나, 아드아다,	And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23	케데스, 하솔, 잇난,	And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24	지브, 텔렘, 브알롯,	Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25	하솔하다따, 크리욧헤스론 곧 하솔,	And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron, which is Hazor,
26	아맘, 세마, 몰라다,	Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27	하살가따, 헤스몬, 벳벨렛,	And Hazar–gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth–palet,
28	하살수알, 브엘세바, 비즈요드야,	And Hazar–shual, and Beer–sheba, and Bizjothjah,
29	바알라, 이임, 에셈,	Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30	엘돌랏, 그실, 호르마,	And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31	시글락, 마드만나, 산산나,	And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32	르바옷, 실힘, 엔림몬. 이렇게 모두 스물아홉 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들이다.	And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:
33	야산 지대에 있는 성읍은 아래와 같다. 에스다올, 소라, 아스나,	And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34	자노아, 엔간님, 다부아, 에남,	And Zanoah, and En–gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35	야르뭇, 아둘람, 소코, 아제카,	Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36	사아라임, 아디다임, 그데라, 그데로다임. 이렇게 열네 성과 그 변두리 천막촌.	And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:
37	스난, 하다사, 믹달가드,	Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal–gad,
38	딜르안, 미스베, 욕드엘,	And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39	라기스, 보스캇, 에글론,	Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40	가뽄, 라마스, 기들리스,	And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41	그데롯, 벳다곤, 나아마, 막케다. 이렇게 열여섯 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	And Gederoth, Beth–dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:
42	리브나, 에델, 아산,	Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43	입다, 아스나, 느십,	And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44	크일라, 악집, 마레사. 이렇게 아홉 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:
45	에크론과 그 변두리 촌락과 천막촌들.	Ekron, with her towns and her villages:
46	에크론과 바다 사이의 땅, 아스돗 경계에 이르는 전지역의 천막촌들.	From Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:
47	아스돗과 그 변두리 촌락과 천막촌들. 가자와 그 변두리 촌락과 천막촌들. 이집트 개울과 대해가 경계를 이룬다.	Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:
48	산악 지대에 있는 성읍은 아래와 같다. 사밀, 야띨, 소코,	And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49	단나, 키럇산나 곧 드빌,	And Dannah, and Kirjath–sannah, which is Debir,
50	아납, 에스드모, 아님,	And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51	고센, 홀른, 길로. 이렇게 열한 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:
52	아랍, 두마, 에스안,	Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53	야님, 벳다부아, 아베카,	And Janum, and Beth–tappuah, and Aphekah,
54	훔타, 키럇아르바 곧 지금의 헤브론, 시올. 이렇게 아홉 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	And Humtah, and Kirjath–arba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:
55	마온, 가르멜, 지브, 유타,	Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56	이즈르엘, 욕드암, 자노아,	And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57	카인, 기브아, 딤나. 이렇게 열 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:
58	할훌, 벳술, 그돌,	Halhul, Beth–zur, and Gedor,
59	마아랏, 벳아놋, 엘드콘. 이렇게 여섯 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	And Maarath, and Beth–anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:
60	키럇바알 곧 지금의 키럇여아림, 라빠 이 두 성과 그 변두리 천막촌들.	Kirjath–baal, which is Kirjath–jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:
61	사막 지대에 있는 성읍은 아래와 같다. 베다라바, 미띤, 스가가,	In the wilderness, Beth–arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62	닙산, 소금성, 엔게디. 이렇게 여섯 성과 그 변두리 천막촌.	And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En–gedi; six cities with their villages.
63	그러나 유다 후손들은 예루살렘에 사는 여부스족은 몰아내지 못하였다. 그래서 여부스족은 이날까지 유다 후손들과 함께 예루살렘에 섞여 살고 있다.	As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.
