절	공동번역 개정판 (1999)	King James Version
1	아르닥사싸 황제가 다스릴 때 나와 함께 바빌론에서 돌아온 각 가문 어른들로서 등록된 사람은 아래와 같다.	These are now the chief of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king.
2	비느하스 일가 중에서 게르솜, 이다말 일가 중에서 다니엘, 다윗 일가 중에서 스가니야의 아들 하투스,	Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershom: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush.
3	바로스 일가 중에서 즈가리야, 그의 이름 아래 남자 백오십 명이 등록하였다.	Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty.
4	바핫모압 일가 중에서 즈라히야의 아들 엘요에내, 그의 이름 아래 남자 이백 명이,	Of the sons of Pahath–moab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.
5	자뚜 일가 중에서 야하지엘의 아들 스가니야, 그의 이름 아래 남자 삼백 명이,	Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.
6	아딘 일가 중에서 요나단의 아들 에벳, 그의 이름 아래 남자 오십 명이,	Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.
7	엘람 일가 중에서 아달리야의 아들 여사이야, 그의 이름 아래 남자 칠십 명이,	And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.
8	스바티야 일가 중에서 미가엘의 아들 즈바디야, 그의 이름 아래 남자 팔십 명이,	And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males.
9	요압의 일가 중에서 여히엘의 아들 오바디야, 그의 이름 아래 남자 이백십팔 명이,	Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.
10	바니 일가 중에서 요시비야의 아들 슬로밋, 그의 이름 아래 남자 백육십 명이,	And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males.
11	베배의 일가 중에서 베배의 아들 즈가리야, 그의 이름 아래 남자 이십팔 명이,	And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males.
12	아즈갓 일가 중에서 하카탄의 아들 요하난, 그의 이름 아래 남자 백십 명이,	And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males.
13	아도니캄 일가 중에서 작은 아들들, 그들의 이름은 엘리벨렛, 여이엘, 스마야인데 그들의 이름 아래 남자 육십 명이,	And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.
14	비그왜의 일가 중에서 우대와 자붓, 그들의 이름 아래 남자 칠십 명이 등록하였다.	Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males.
15	나는 이들을 아하와로 흐르는 강가에 모은 다음 거기에 천막들을 치고 사흘을 묵으며 살펴보았다. 그랬더니 일반인도 있고 사제들도 있는데 레위인만은 하나도 없었다.	And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
16	—	Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.
17	나는 엘리에젤, 아리엘, 스마야, 엘나단, 야립, 엘나단, 나단, 즈가리야, 므술람, 이런 지도자들과 요야립과 엘나단, 이런 슬기 있는 이들을 카시비야 지방으로 보내어 그 곳 어른 이또를 찾아보고 우리 하느님의 성전에서 일할 사람을 보내달라고 이또 일가에게 부탁하도록 하였다.	And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
18	그랬더니 우리 하느님께서 우리 일이 잘되도록 보살펴 주셔서 그들은 똑똑한 사람 하나를 데려왔다. 그는 이스라엘의 아들 레위의 혈통을 이은 마흘리의 후손으로서 이름은 세레비야라고 하였다. 그는 아들들과 일가 사람 모두 십팔 명을 데리고 왔다.	And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
19	하사비야라는 사람도 왔고 그와 함께 므라리 후손 이사야라는 사람도 왔다. 그의 일가들도 아들들을 데리고 오니 일행은 모두 이십 명이었다.	And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;
20	레위인의 일을 거드는 막일꾼도 있었다. 이들은 다윗이 대신들과 의논하여 붙여준 사람들이었는데, 그 일하러 온 사람 이백이십 명도 있었다. 이들은 모두 지명되어 온 사람들이었다.	Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
21	거기 아하와 강 가에서 나는 선포하였다. "우리 가족을 거느리고 가산을 끌고 무사히 돌아가게 하여주십사고 음식을 끊고 우리 하느님 앞에 엎드려 기도합시다."	Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
22	우리는 황제에게 이렇게 장담했던 것이다. "우리 하느님은 당신을 저버리면 노여우시어 호되게 벌하시지만, 당신을 찾기만 하면 잘 보살펴 주십니다." 그래 놓고 도중에 원수들이 달려들까 무서우니 보병과 기병을 풀어서 도와달라고 청하는 것은 부끄러워서도 할 수 없는 일이었다.	For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
23	우리는 단식하며 우리 하느님께 도와주십사고 빌 수밖에 없었다. 그러자 하느님께서는 우리의 기도를 들어주셨다.	So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
24	나는 사제장들 가운데서 으뜸가는 사람 열둘을 뽑고 세레비야와 하사비야와 그들의 일가 열 명을 뽑아 세우고는	Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
25	금과 은과 기구들을 그들에게 달아 맡겼다. 그것은 황제를 비롯하여 고문관들과 고관들, 또 거기에 있던 온 이스라엘 사람이 우리 하느님의 성전에 예물로 바친 것이었다.	And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:
26	그들에게 달아서 맡긴 것은 은이 육백오십 달란트, 두 달란트 나가는 은그릇이 백 개, 금 백 달란트,	I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;
27	금잔 이십 개에 천 다릭, 금에 못지않게 반짝반짝하는 놋그릇 두 개였다.	Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.
28	이것을 나누어주고 나는 당부하였다. "그대들은 야훼께 바친 몸이오. 이 그릇들은 제사 때에 쓸 것이오. 금과 은은 우리 선조들의 하느님 야훼께 바칠 자원예물이오.	And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers.
29	그러니 이것을 잘 간수하여 예루살렘에 가지고 가서 야훼의 성전 거실에서 사제장들과 레위인들과 이스라엘 각 가문 어른들 앞에서 달아드리도록 하시오."	Watch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord.
30	이리하여 사제들과 레위인들은 예루살렘에 있는 우리 하느님 야훼의 성전으로 가져갈 금과 은과 기구들을 인수하였다.	So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.
31	우리가 예루살렘을 향하여 아하와 강 가를 떠난 것은 정월 십이일이었다. 도중에 원수들이 매복하였다가 달려들기도 하였지만, 우리 하느님께서 잘 보살펴 주셔서 그 손에서 벗어날 수가 있었다.	Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.
32	마침내 우리는 예루살렘에 이르러 삼 일을 쉬었다.	And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.
33	사 일이 되어 우리는 우리 하느님의 성전에서 우리야의 아들 므레못 사제에게 그 금과 은과 기구들을 모두 달아 넘겼는데 옆에는 비느하스의 아들 엘르아잘이 있었다. 또 레위인으로서 예수아의 아들 요자밧과 빈누이의 아들 노아드야도 입회하였다.	Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;
34	하나하나 세어 무게를 달고 그 무게를 적어두었다.	By number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.
35	사로잡혀 갔다가 풀려 돌아온 사람들은 그제야 이스라엘의 하느님께 번제를 드렸다. 온 이스라엘을 대신하여 소 열두 마리, 숫양 아흔여섯 마리, 어린 양 일흔두 마리, 속죄제물로 숫염소 열두 마리를 야훼께 살라 바쳤다.	Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the Lord.
36	황제의 칙서를 받은 유프라테스 서부 지방 지방장관들과 총독들은 백성을 도와 하느님의 성전 짓는 일을 거들었다.	And they delivered the king’s commissions unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.
