절	공동번역 개정판 (1999)	King James Version
1	예루살렘의 죄 야훼께서 나에게 이런 말씀을 내리셨다.	Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2	"너 사람아, 네가 심판하려느냐? 죄없는 피를 흘리는 이 성의 주민을 심판하려느냐? 그들 가운데서 얼마나 역겨운 짓이 벌어지고 있는지를 낱낱이 알려주어라.	Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.
3	'주 야훼가 말한다. 죄없는 피를 흘려 망할 날을 재촉하는 성읍아, 우상들을 만들어 부정해진 성읍아,	Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord God, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.
4	너는 죄없는 피를 흘려 벌을 자청하고 제 손으로 우상을 만들어 부정해졌다. 이렇게 망할 날을 스스로 앞당겨, 갈 데까지 다 가고 말았다. 그래서 나는 너를 뭇 민족들에게 수치를 당하게 하고, 온 세상의 웃음거리가 되게 하였다.	Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
5	멀리 가까이 사는 모든 사람이 너를 온통 거꾸로 된 성, 입에 담기도 더러운 성읍이라고 빈정거릴 것이다.	Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.
6	보아라. 이스라엘의 수령들은 마구 팔을 휘둘러 저희끼리 피 흘리기를 일삼고 있다.	Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.
7	너희들은 부모를 업신여기고 너희에게 와서 몸붙여 사는 떠돌이들을 학대하며 고아와 과부를 괴롭히고 있다.	In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
8	너희는 거룩한 나의 성전을 업신여기고 나의 안식일을 욕되게 하였다.	Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.
9	너희 가운데는 남을 모함하여 죄없는 피를 흘리게 하는 자들이 있는가 하면 산에서 제물을 먹으며 추잡하게 구는 자들도 있다.	In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.
10	너희 가운데는 자기 아비가 데리고 사는 여인을 건드리는 자가 있는가 하면 월경 중인 부정한 여인을 가까이하는 자도 있다.	In thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.
11	옆집 유부녀와 추태를 부리는 자가 있는가 하면 며느리와 놀아나는 자도 있고 같은 아비에게서 난 누이를 범하는 자도 있다.	And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.
12	너희 가운데는 뇌물을 먹고 죄없는 사람의 피를 흘리는 자도 있고, 돈놀이로 이웃을 터는 자도 있다. 그러면서 나는 잊고 있다. 주 야훼가 하는 말이다.	In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.
13	너희가 서로 착취하고 죽이는 것을 보고, 나는 지금 주먹을 불끈 쥐고 벼르고 있다.	Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
14	내가 너희를 사정없이 닦달하는 날, 너희의 마음이 꺾이지 아니하고 너희의 맥이 빠지지 않는가 두고 보자! 나 야훼는 한번 한 말은 반드시 그대로 이룬다.	Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the Lord have spoken it, and will do it.
15	나는 너를 뭇 민족 가운데 흐트러뜨려 여러 나라로 쫓아보낼 것이다. 그러나, 그렇게 함으로써 너의 부정을 말끔히 씻어줄 것이다.	And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
16	뭇 민족이 보는 데서 너희를 나의 것으로 삼아주리라. 그제야 너희는 내가 야훼임을 알게 될 것이다.'"	And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
17	야훼께서 나에게 이런 말씀을 내리셨다.	And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18	"너 사람아, 이스라엘 족속은 모두 나에게 쇠찌꺼기일 뿐이다. 은, 구리, 주석, 쇠, 납을 도가니에서 녹여내고 남는 찌꺼기일 뿐이다.	Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
19	주 야훼가 말한다. 너희가 모두 쇠찌꺼기가 되었으니, 나는 너희를 예루살렘으로 쓸어 들이리라.	Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20	사람이 은이나 구리나 쇠나 납이나 주석을 도가니에 쓸어넣고 풀무질하여 녹이듯이, 너희를 쓸어다가 한데 넣고 분노의 입김으로 녹여버리리라.	As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
21	너희를 그 안에 쓸어넣고 나의 분노의 불을 질러 녹여버리리라.	Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.
22	도가니 속에서 은이 녹듯이 너희도 그 안에서 녹아 없어지리라. 그제야 너희는 나 야훼가 화가 나서 너희에게 분노를 쏟은 줄을 알리라."	As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the Lord have poured out my fury upon you.
23	야훼께서 나에게 이런 말씀을 내리셨다.	And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
24	"너 사람아, 예루살렘에 이렇게 일러라. '예루살렘아, 너는 비가 오지 않는 땅이 되리라. 내가 분노를 퍼붓는 날, 소나기 한 번 오지 않으리라.	Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
25	네 안에서 수령이라는 자들은 짐승을 잡아 물고 으르렁거리는 사자처럼 백성에게서 재물과 패물을 빼앗고, 사람들을 집어삼키는구나. 그리하여 네 안에는 과부만 늘어가는구나.	There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
26	이 성읍 안의 사제들은 나의 법을 짓밟고 거룩한 나의 소유물을 소중하게 여기지 아니한다. 거룩한 것과 속된 것을 분별하지 않고 부정한 것과 정한 것을 가리는 법을 가르치지 않으며 나에게 바쳐진 안식일도 무시한다. 내가 이렇게 네 안에서 욕을 보고 있다.	Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
27	이 성읍 안에서 고관들은 짐승을 잡아 찢는 늑대 같아, 죄없는 피를 흘려 사람들을 죽이며 남의 재산을 털어 먹고 있다.	Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
28	이 성읍 안의 예언자라는 무리들은 겉치레만 장식하고 허황한 환상이나 보며 맞지도 않는 점을 치고 있다. 나는 꺼내지도 않은 말을 주 야훼께서 말씀하시더라고 하며 지껄이고 있다.	And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken.
29	지주라는 것들은 깡패나 강도떼가 되어 비천하고 가난한 자들을 괴롭히고 떠돌아다니는 머슴들을 이유도 없이 학대한다.	The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
30	행여나 이 가운데 이 나라를 위하는 사람이 있어, 담을 고치고 틈을 막으며 이 나라를 멸망시키려는 나의 앞을 막아서는 자라도 있는가 찾아보았지만 그런 사람도 없었다.	And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
31	그러므로 이제 나는 나의 분노를 퍼부으리라. 진노하여 모든 것을 태워버리리라. 그 소행대로 벌을 내리지 않을 수 없다. 주 야훼가 하는 말이다.'"	Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.
