절	공동번역 개정판 (1999)	King James Version
1	스바니야에게 내린 야훼의 말씀. 스바니야의 아버지는 구시요, 그 윗대는 게달리야, 그 윗대는 아마리야, 그 윗대는 히즈키야이다. 스바니야가 말씀을 받은 것은 아몬의 아들 요시야 왕이 유다를 다스릴 때였다.	The word of the Lord which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.
2	하느님의 결의 "땅 위에 있는 것은 무엇이건 나 말끔히 쓸어버리리라." 야훼의 말씀이시다.	I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the Lord.
3	"사람도 짐승도 쓸어버리고 공중의 새도 바다의 고기도 쓸어버리리라. 악당들을 거꾸러뜨리며 땅에서 사람의 씨를 말리리라." 야훼의 말씀이시다.	I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the Lord.
4	우상을 섬기는 자들 "나는 손을 들어 유다 국민과 예루살렘 온 성민을 치리라. 여기 얼마 남지 않은 바알의 신상들을 없애고 그 사제라는 것들을 이름도 없이 쓸어버리리라.	I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;
5	지붕 위에서 하늘의 별들을 예배하는 것들, 야훼를 예배하면서도 맹세는 밀곰을 두고 하는 것들,	And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham;
6	알아볼 일이 있어도 야훼를 찾지 아니하고 등지고 떠나가는 것들을 나 없애버리리라."	And them that are turned back from the Lord; and those that have not sought the Lord, nor enquired for him.
7	주 야훼 앞에서 입을 다물어라. 야훼께서 오실 날이 다가왔다. 야훼께서는 이미 제물을 마련하시고 손님들을 목욕재계시키셨다.	Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord God: for the day of the Lord is at hand: for the Lord hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.
8	정치가들 "나 야훼가 제물을 잡을 날이 온다. 그 날에 남의 나라 옷을 입고 거들먹거리는 고관들과 왕족들을 나는 벌하리라.	And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.
9	문지방이 닳게 넘나들며 속임수로 남을 등쳐 상전의 궁궐을 채우는 것들을 그 날 나는 벌하리라."	In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit.
10	장사치들 "그 날이 오면," 야훼의 말씀이시다. "생선문에서 아우성 소리가, 새 장터에서 울부짖는 소리가, 이 언덕 저 언덕에서 무섭게 깨지는 소리가 나리라.	And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.
11	방앗간 거리 사람들아, 울부짖어라. 장사치들은 간데없고 돈 거래하는 자들도 자취를 감추리라."	Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.
12	불신자들 "그 때가 되면 나는 불을 켜들고 예루살렘을 뒤지리라. 팔자가 늘어져 스스로 말하기를 '야훼가 무슨 복을 주랴? 무슨 화를 주랴?' 하는 자들을 벌하리라.	And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The Lord will not do good, neither will he do evil.
13	그들의 재산은 털리고 집은 헐리리니, 일껏 집을 짓고도 거기에서 살지 못하고 일껏 포도 농사를 하고도 술을 빚어 마시지 못하리라."	Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.
14	야훼께서 오실 날 야훼께서 오실 무서운 날이 다가왔다. 득달같이 다가왔다. 야훼께서 오실 날, 역마보다 날쌔게 오는구나. 군인보다도 잽싸게 닥치는구나.	The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
15	그 날은 야훼의 분노가 터지는 날, 모두들 죽도록 고생하는 날, 폭풍에 휩쓸려가는 날, 먹구름이 뒤덮이는 어두운 날,	That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
16	나팔 소리 울리며 함성이 터지는 날이다. "저 든든한 성을 쳐라. 귀퉁이에 솟아 있는 망대를 쳐라."	A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
17	"내가 사람들을 몰아치리니, 그들은 소경처럼 더듬거리다가 피를 땅에 뿌리고 배알을 거름덩이처럼 쏟으리라. 그들이 나에게 죄를 지은 탓이다.	And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.
18	은과 금이 아무리 많아도 그것으로 그 난을 면하지는 못하리라." 야훼의 분노가 타오르는 날, 온 세상은 활활 타버리리라. 그가 세상 사람을 송두리째 순식간에 멸하시리라.	Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
