절	공동번역 개정판 (1999)	King James Version
1	너희 사제들에게, 나 이제 이 분부를 내린다.	And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
2	너희가 내 말을 듣지 아니하고, 내 이름을 기릴 생각이 없으니, 너희에게 내릴 것은 재앙뿐이다. 복 대신 저주를 내릴 수밖에 없다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 나의 이름 기릴 생각을 하는 사람이 하나도 없는데, 어떻게 저주를 내리지 않고 복을 내리겠느냐?	If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
3	너희 팔을 자르고, 너희가 제물로 바친 짐승의 내장을 똥째 너희 얼굴에 끼얹고 내 앞에서 들어 내어 버릴테니, 두고 보아라.	Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
4	만군의 야훼가 말한다. 그런 다음에야, 내가 레위와 맺었던 계약이 폐기된 줄 너희가 알 것이다.	And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
5	나는 레위와 계약을 맺고 레위 가문이 평화를 누리며 잘 살게 해주었다. 나를 두려워하며 내 이름을 어렵게 알아 나를 공경할 마음을 주었다.	My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6	그래서 입으로는 참된 법을 가르치며 입술에는 거짓을 올리지 않게 하였다. 나와 함께 잘 지내며 올바르게 살며 많은 사람을 그릇된 길에서 바른 길로 인도하게 하였다.	The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7	사제들은 이 만군의 야훼가 보낸 특사라, 사람들은 그 입술만 쳐다보면서 인생을 바르게 사는 법을 배우려고 하였다.	For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
8	그런데 너희는 바른 길을 떠났다. 법을 가르친다면서 도리어 많은 사람을 넘어뜨렸다. 레위와 맺은 나의 계약을 깨뜨렸다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다.	But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
9	그래서 나도 너희를 동족에게서 멸시와 천대를 받게 하였다. 나에게서 배운 길을 지키지 않았고 법을 다룰 때 인간 차별을 한 탓이다."	Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
10	잡혼과 이혼 우리의 조상은 한 분이 아니시냐? 우리를 내신 하느님도 한 분이 아니시냐? 그런데 어찌하여 우리는 서로 배신하여, 우리 조상이 맺은 계약을 깨뜨리느냐?	Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11	유다는 야훼를 배신하고 이스라엘 지방과 예루살렘 성에서 역겨운 짓을 하였다. 유다는 남의 나라 신을 섬기는 여자를 좋아하여 아내로 맞았다. 그리하여 야훼의 성소를 더럽혔다.	Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
12	멀쩡한 정신으로 좋아라고 그런 짓을 하는 것들, 만군의 야훼께 제물을 바치지 못하도록 야곱의 천막에서 쫓겨났으면 좋겠다.	The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts.
13	너희가 저지른 또 한 가지 일이 있다. 너희는 제물을 드려도 야훼께서 굽어보지도 않으시고 다시 받아주지도 않으신다면서 울고불고 눈물로 야훼의 제단을 적시며	And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
14	왜 이러시느냐고 묻는다. 그 까닭을 말해 주랴? 네가 배반한 너의 조강지처, 약조를 맺고 혼인한 아내, 너의 짝과 너 사이에 야훼께서 증인으로 나서셨기 때문이다.	Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15	야훼께서 너희의 몸과 마음을 묶으실 때, 무엇을 바라셨겠느냐? 하느님께서는 후손을 주시려고 하신 것이다. 그러니 변심하여 조강지처를 버리지 않도록 하여라.	And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16	이스라엘의 하느님 야훼께서 이르시는 말씀이다. "조강지처가 싫어져서 내쫓는 것은 제 옷을 찢는 것과 같다. 나는 그러한 자들을 미워한다. 만군의 야훼가 말한다. 변심하여 조강지처를 버리지 않도록 하여라."	For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
17	야훼의 특사가 오신다 너희가 하는 말은 야훼의 화만 돋우어드리는구나. 우리가 무슨 말을 하였기에 화를 돋우어드렸다는 것이냐고 하지만, 너희는 이런 말을 하고 있다. "야훼께서는 못된 일을 하는 사람이라야 눈에 들어 귀여워해 주신다! 하느님이 공변되시다고? 그런 하느님이 어디 있느냐?"	Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
