1	예루살렘 입성 그들이 예루살렘에 가까이 와서 올리브 산 근처 벳파게에 이르렀을 때에 예수께서는 두 제자를 보내시며	And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
2	이렇게 이르셨다. "맞은편 마을로 가보아라. 그러면 나귀 한 마리가 매여 있을 터인데 그 새끼도 곁에 있을 것이다. 그 나귀를 풀어 나에게로 끌고 오너라.	Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
3	혹시 누가 무어라고 하거든 '주께서 쓰시겠답니다.' 하고 말하여라. 그러면 곧 내어줄 것이다."	And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
4	이리하여 예언자를 시켜,	All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
5	"시온의 딸에게 알려라. 네 임금이 너에게 오신다. 그는 겸손하시어 암나귀를 타시고 멍에 메는 짐승의 새끼, 어린 나귀를 타고 오신다." 하신 말씀이 이루어졌다.	Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6	제자들은 가서 예수께서 일러주신 대로	And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7	나귀와 나귀 새끼를 끌고 와서 그 위에 겉옷을 얹어놓았다. 예수께서 거기에 올라앉으시자	And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
8	많은 사람들이 겉옷을 벗어 길에 펴놓는가 하면 어떤 사람들은 나뭇가지를 꺾어다가 길에 깔아놓기도 하였다.	And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9	그리고 앞뒤에서 따르는 사람들이 모두 환성을 올렸다. "호산나! 다윗의 자손! 주의 이름으로 오시는 이여, 찬미받으소서. 지극히 높은 하늘에서도 호산나!"	And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
10	예수께서 예루살렘에 들어가시자 온 시민이 들떠서 "이분이 누구냐?" 하고 물었다.	And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11	사람들은 "이분은 갈릴래아 나자렛에서 오신 예언자 예수요." 하고 대답하였다. (; ; )	And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
12	성전 뜰에서 쫓겨난 상인들 예수께서는 성전 뜰 안으로 들어가 거기에서 팔고 사고 하는 사람들을 다 쫓아내시고 환금상들의 탁자와 비둘기 장수들의 의자를 둘러엎으셨다.	And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13	그리고 그들에게 "성서에 '내 집은 기도하는 집이라고 불리리라.' 했는데 너희는 이 집을 '강도의 소굴'로 만들었다." 하고 나무라셨다.	And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
14	그 때 예수께서는 성전 뜰 안에 있던 소경들과 절름발이들이 앞으로 나오자 그들을 모두 고쳐주셨다.	And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
15	대사제들과 율법학자들은 예수께서 행하신 여러 가지 놀라운 일이며 성전 뜰에서 "호산나! 다윗의 자손!" 하고 외치는 아이들을 보고 화가 치밀어서	And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
16	예수께 "이 아이들이 하는 말이 들립니까?" 하고 물었다. 예수께서는 그들에게 "들린다. '주께서 어린이들과 젖먹이들의 입으로 주를 찬양하게 하시리라.' 하신 말씀을 읽어본 일이 없느냐?" 하고 대답하셨다.	And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
17	그리고 예수께서는 그들을 떠나 성밖에 있는 베다니아로 가셔서 밤을 지내셨다. (, )	And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.
18	저주받은 무화과나무 이튿날 아침에 예수께서 성안으로 들어오시다가 마침 시장하시던 참에	Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19	길가에 무화과나무 한 그루가 서 있는 것을 보시고 그리로 가셨다. 그러나 잎사귀밖에는 아무것도 보이지 않았으므로 그 나무를 향하여 "이제부터 너는 영원히 열매를 맺지 못하리라." 하고 말씀하셨다. 그러자 무화과나무는 곧 말라버렸다.	And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20	제자들이 이것을 보고 놀라서 "무화과나무가 어찌하여 그렇게 당장 말라버렸습니까?" 하고 물었다.	And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21	예수께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "나는 분명히 말한다. 너희가 의심하지 않고 믿는다면 이 무화과나무에서 본 일을 할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 이 산더러 '번쩍 들려서 바다에 빠져라.' 하더라도 그대로 될 것이다.	Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22	또 너희가 기도할 때에 믿고 구하는 것은 무엇이든지 다 받을 것이다." (; )	And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
23	예수의 권한에 대한 질문 예수께서 성전에 들어가서 가르치고 계실 때에 대사제들과 백성의 원로들이 와서 "당신은 무슨 권한으로 이런 일들을 합니까? 누가 이런 권한을 주었습니까?" 하고 물었다.	And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
24	"나도 한 가지 물어보겠다. 너희가 대답하면 나도 무슨 권한으로 이 일을 하는지 말하겠다.	And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
25	요한은 누구에게서 권한을 받아 세례를 베풀었느냐? 하늘이 준 것이냐? 사람이 준 것이냐?" 하고 반문하시자 그들은 자기들끼리 "그 권한을 하늘이 주었다고 하면 왜 그를 믿지 않았느냐 할 것이고	The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
26	사람이 주었다고 하면 모두들 요한을 예언자로 여기고 있으니 군중이 가만 있지 않을 테지?" 하고 의논한 끝에	But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
27	"모르겠습니다." 하고 대답하였다. 예수께서는 "나도 무슨 권한으로 이런 일을 하는지 말하지 않겠다." 하고 말씀하셨다.	And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
28	두 아들의 비유 "또 이런 것은 어떻게 생각하느냐? 어떤 사람이 두 아들을 두었는데 먼저 맏아들에게 가서 '얘야, 너 오늘 포도원에 가서 일을 하여라.' 하고 일렀다.	But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
29	맏아들은 처음에는 싫다고 하였지만 나중에 뉘우치고 일하러 갔다.	He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
30	아버지는 둘째 아들에게 가서도 같은 말을 하였다. 둘째 아들은 가겠다는 대답만 하고 가지는 않았다.	And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
31	이 둘 중에 아버지의 뜻을 받든 아들은 누구이겠느냐?" 하고 예수께서 물으셨다. 그들이 "맏아들입니다." 하고 대답하자 예수께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "나는 분명히 말한다. 세리와 창녀들이 너희보다 먼저 하느님의 나라에 들어가고 있다.	Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32	사실 요한이 너희를 찾아와서 올바른 길을 가르쳐줄 때에 너희는 그의 말을 믿지 않았지만 세리와 창녀들은 믿었다. 너희는 그것을 보고도 끝내 뉘우치지 않고 그를 믿지 않았다." (; )	For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
33	포도원 소작인의 비유 "또 다른 비유를 들겠다. 어떤 지주가 포도원을 하나 만들고 울타리를 둘러치고는 그 안에 포도즙을 짜는 큰 확을 파고 망대를 세웠다. 그리고는 그것을 소작인들에게 도지로 주고 멀리 떠나갔다.	Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
34	포도 철이 되자 그는 그 도조를 받아오라고 종들을 보냈다.	And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
35	그런데 소작인들은 그 종들을 붙잡아, 하나는 때려주고 하나는 죽이고 하나는 돌로 쳐죽였다.	And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
36	지주는 더 많은 종들을 다시 보냈다. 소작인들은 이번에도 그들에게 똑같은 짓을 했다.	Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37	주인은 마지막으로 '내 아들이야 알아보겠지.' 하며 자기 아들을 보냈다.	But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
38	그러나 소작인들은 그 아들을 보자 '저자는 상속자다. 자, 저자를 죽이고 그가 차지할 이 포도원을 우리가 가로채자.' 하면서 서로 짜고는	But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
39	그를 잡아 포도원 밖으로 끌어내어 죽였다.	And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.
40	그렇게 했으니 포도원 주인이 돌아오면 그 소작인들을 어떻게 하겠느냐?"	When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
41	사람들은 이렇게 대답하였다. "그 악한 자들을 모조리 죽여버리고 제때에 도조를 바칠 다른 소작인들에게 포도원을 맡길 것입니다."	They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
42	그래서 예수께서는 그들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 성서에서, '집 짓는 사람들이 버린 돌이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되었다. 주께서 하시는 일이라, 우리에게는 놀랍게만 보인다.' 한 말을 읽어본 일이 없느냐?	Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
43	잘 들어라. 너희는 하느님의 나라를 빼앗길 것이며 도조를 잘 내는 백성들이 그 나라를 차지할 것이다.	Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44	(그리고 그 돌 위에 떨어지는 사람은 산산조각이 날 것이며 그 돌 밑에 깔리는 사람은 가루가 되고 말 것이다.")	And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
45	대사제들과 바리사이파 사람들은 이 비유가 자기들을 두고 하신 말씀인 것을 알고	And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
46	예수를 잡으려 하였으나 군중이 두려워서 손을 대지 못하였다. 군중이 예수를 예언자로 알고 있었기 때문이다.	But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
