1	결혼과 이혼 예수께서는 이 말씀을 마치시고 갈릴래아를 떠나 요르단 강 건너편 유다 지방으로 가셨는데	And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judea beyond Jordan;
2	사람들이 또 많이 몰려왔으므로 거기서도 병자들을 고쳐주셨다.	And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3	바리사이파 사람들이 와서 예수의 속을 떠보려고 "무엇이든지 이유가 닿기만 하면 남편이 아내를 버려도 좋습니까?" 하고 물었다.	The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4	그러자 예수께서는 "처음부터 창조주께서 사람을 남자와 여자로 만드셨다는 것과	And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5	또 '그러므로 남자는 부모를 떠나 제 아내와 합하여 한 몸을 이루리라.' 하신 말씀을 아직 읽어보지 못하였느냐?	And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6	따라서 그들은 이제 둘이 아니라 한 몸이다. 그러니 하느님께서 짝지어 주신 것을 사람이 갈라놓아서는 안 된다." 하고 대답하셨다.	Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7	그들은 다시 "모세는 '아내를 버리려 할 때에는 이혼장을 써주어라.' 했으니 그것은 무슨 까닭입니까?" 하고 물었다.	They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8	예수께서는 "모세는 너희의 마음이 굳을 대로 굳어져서 아내와 이혼을 해도 좋다고 하였지만 처음부터 그랬던 것은 아니다.	He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9	나는 이렇게 말한다. 음행한 까닭 외에 아내를 버리고 다른 여자와 결혼하면 간음하는 것이다." 하고 대답하셨다.	And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10	제자들이 이 말씀을 듣고 예수께 "남편과 아내의 관계가 그런 것이라면 차라리 결혼하지 않는 것이 좋겠습니다." 하였더니	His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11	예수께서 이렇게 대답하셨다. "그것은 아무나 할 수 있는 일이 아니다. 다만 하느님께서 허락하신 사람만이 할 수 있다.	But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12	처음부터 결혼하지 못할 몸으로 태어난 사람도 있고 사람의 손으로 그렇게 된 사람도 있고 또 하늘 나라를 위하여 스스로 결혼하지 않는 사람도 있다. 이 말을 받아들일 만한 사람은 받아들여라." (; )	For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13	어린이들을 축복하신 예수 그 때 사람들이 어린이들을 예수께 데리고 와서 머리에 손을 얹어 기도해 주시기를 청하였다. 제자들이 그들을 나무라자	Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14	예수께서는 "어린이들이 나에게 오는 것을 막지 말고 그대로 두어라. 하늘 나라는 이런 어린이와 같은 사람들의 것이다." 하고 말씀하셨다.	But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15	그리고 그들의 머리 위에 손을 얹어 축복해 주시고 나서 그 곳을 떠나셨다. (; )	And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16	부자 청년;낙타와 바늘귀 한번은 어떤 사람이 예수께 와서 "선생님, 제가 무슨 선한 일을 해야 영원한 생명을 얻겠습니까?" 하고 물었다.	And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17	예수께서는 "왜 너는 나에게 와서 선한 일에 대하여 묻느냐? 참으로 선하신 분은 오직 한 분뿐이시다. 네가 생명의 나라로 들어가려거든 계명을 지켜라." 하고 대답하셨다.	And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18	그 젊은이가 "어느 계명입니까?" 하고 묻자 예수께서는 "'살인하지 마라. 간음하지 마라. 도둑질하지 마라. 거짓 증언하지 마라.	He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19	부모를 공경하여라.' 그리고 '네 이웃을 네 몸같이 사랑하여라.' 하는 계명이다." 하고 대답하셨다.	Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20	그 젊은이가 "저는 그 모든 것을 다 지켰습니다. 그런데 아직도 무엇을 더 해야 되겠습니까?" 하고 다시 묻자	The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21	예수께서는 "네가 완전한 사람이 되려거든 가서 너의 재산을 다 팔아 가난한 사람들에게 나누어주어라. 그러면 하늘에서 보화를 얻게 될 것이다. 그러니 내가 시키는 대로 하고 나서 나를 따라오너라." 하셨다.	Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22	그러나 그 젊은이는 재산이 많았기 때문에 이 말씀을 듣고 풀이 죽어 떠나갔다.	But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23	예수께서는 제자들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "나는 분명히 말한다. 부자는 하늘 나라에 들어가기가 어렵다.	Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24	거듭 말하지만 부자가 하느님 나라에 들어가는 것보다는 낙타가 바늘귀로 빠져 나가는 것이 더 쉬울 것이다."	And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25	제자들이 이 말씀을 듣고 깜짝 놀라서 "그러면 구원받을 사람이 어디 있겠습니까?" 하고 물었다.	When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26	예수께서는 그들을 똑바로 보시며 "그것은 사람의 힘으로 할 수 없는 일이다. 그러나 하느님께서는 무슨 일이든 하실 수 있다." 하고 말씀하셨다. (; )	But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27	백 배의 상 그 때에 베드로가 나서서 "보시다시피 저희는 모든 것을 버리고 주님을 따랐습니다. 그러니 저희는 무엇을 받게 되겠습니까?" 하고 물었다.	Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28	예수께서는 이렇게 대답하셨다. "나는 분명히 말한다. 너희는 나를 따랐으니 새 세상이 와서 사람의 아들이 영광스러운 옥좌에 앉을 때에 너희도 열두 옥좌에 앉아 이스라엘 열두 지파를 심판하게 될 것이다.	And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29	나를 따르려고 제 집이나 형제나 자매나 부모나 자식이나 토지를 버린 사람은 백 배의 상을 받을 것이며, 또 영원한 생명을 얻을 것이다.	And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30	그러나 첫째였다가 꼴찌가 되고 꼴찌였다가 첫째가 되는 사람들이 많을 것이다."	But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
