1	안식년에 관한 법 야훼께서 시나이 산에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2	"너는 이스라엘 백성에게 이렇게 일러주어라. '너희는 내가 주는 땅으로 들어가서 야훼의 안식년이 되거든 그 땅을 묵혀라.	Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.
3	너희는 육 년 동안 밭에 씨를 뿌리고 육 년 동안 포도 순을 쳐, 그 소출을 거두어라.	Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4	칠 년째 되는 해는 야훼의 안식년이므로 그 땅을 아주 묵혀 밭에 씨를 뿌리지 말고, 포도 순을 치지도 마라.	But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
5	너희가 거둘 때 떨어진 데서 절로 자란 것을 거두지 말고, 순을 치지 않고 내버려둔 덩굴에 절로 열린 포도송이를 따지 말며 땅을 완전히 묵혀야 한다.	That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
6	너희 땅을 묵히는 것은 너희 뿐 아니라 너희 집에 머무는 너희 남종과 여종과 품꾼과 식객까지 모두 먹여 살리기 위한 것이다.	And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,
7	그러면 너희 가축과 너희 땅에 사는 짐승도 땅에서 나는 온갖 소출을 먹고 살 수 있을 것이다.	And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
8	희년에 관한 법 너희는 또 일곱 해를 일곱 번 해서, 안식년을 일곱 번 세어라. 이렇게 안식년을 일곱 번 맞아 사십구 년이 지나서	And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9	일곱째 달이 되거든 그 달 십일에 나팔 소리를 크게 울려라. 죄 벗는 이 날 너희는 나팔을 불어 온 땅에 울려 퍼지게 하여라.	Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
10	오십 년이 되는 이 해를 너희는 거룩한 해로 정하고 너희 땅에 사는 모든 사람에게 해방을 선포하여라. 이 해는 너희가 희년으로 지킬 해이다. 저마다 제 소유지를 찾아 자기 지파에게로 돌아가야 한다.	And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
11	오십 년이 되는 해는 너희가 희년으로 지낼 해이니, 씨를 심지도 말고 절로 자란 것을 거두지도 말며 순을 치지 않고 내버려두었는데 절로 열린 포도송이를 따지도 마라.	A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
12	이 해가 희년이니, 이 해를 거룩하게 지내야 한다. 너희는 밭에서 난 소출을 먹고 지낼 수 있을 것이다.	For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
13	이 희년에 너희는 저마다 자기 소유지로 돌아가야 한다.	In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
14	네가 동족에게 무엇을 팔거나 동족에게서 무엇을 사는 경우에, 이웃끼리 서로 억울하게 하지 마라.	And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:
15	너는 동족에게서 사들일 때에 희년이 몇 해가 지났는지 따져보아라. 파는 사람은 소출을 거둘 햇수를 따져서 값을 매겨라.	According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
16	소출을 거둘 햇수를 따라 사고 팔아야 하기 때문에 그 햇수가 많으면 값을 많이 치르고, 햇수가 적으면 값을 적게 치러야 한다.	According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.
17	너희는 동족끼리 서로 억울하게 하지 마라. 너희는 하느님 두려운 줄을 알아야 한다. 나 야훼가 너희의 하느님이다.	Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the Lord your God.
18	너희는 내가 정해 주는 규정을 실천하고 내가 세워주는 법을 지켜 그대로 해야 한다. 그러면 그 땅에서 안심하고 살 수 있으리라.	Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19	그 땅에서 나는 열매를 양껏 먹으며 그 땅에서 안심하고 살 수 있으리라.	And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20	너희는 혹, 칠 년째 되는 해에는 씨를 심지도 말고 소출을 거두지도 말라면 무엇을 먹을 것인가 걱정이 될 것이다.	And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21	그러나 육 년째 되는 해에 나의 말 한마디로 너희에게 충분한 복을 내려 삼 년 먹을 소출이 나게 하리라.	Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
22	그래서 씨를 다시 뿌리는 팔 년째 되는 해에는 묵은 곡식을 먹게 되리라. 구 년째 되는 해의 소출이 날 때까지 묵은 것을 먹게 되리라.	And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
23	땅은 아주 팔아 넘기는 것이 아니다. 땅은 내 것이요, 너희는 나에게 몸붙여 사는 식객에 불과하다.	The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
24	너희가 소유하는 땅 어디에서나 제 땅은 다시 되돌려 살 수 있어야 한다.	And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
25	네 동족 가운데서 누가 옹색하여 제 소유를 팔았을 경우에는 그와 가장 가까운 친척이 와서 그가 판 것을 되돌려 살 수 있다.	If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.
26	그것을 되돌려 살 친척이 없을 경우에, 그가 나중에 스스로 힘이 생겨 되돌려 살 길이 트이면,	And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
27	판 다음에 지나간 햇수에 해당하는 값을 빼고, 나머지를 그 땅을 산 사람에게 물어주어야 한다. 그리고 나서 그는 자기 소유지로 돌아갈 수 있다.	Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
28	그러나 되돌려 살 만한 돈이 손에 들어오지 않으면 그가 판 것은 희년이 오기까지 그것을 산 사람의 손에 남아 있게 된다. 그랬다가 희년이 되어 해약이 되면 그는 제 소유지로 돌아갈 수가 있다.	But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
29	누가 성곽 도시에 있는 주택을 판 경우에, 판 지 한 해가 지나면 무를 권리가 없다. 무를 수 있는 유효 기한은 일 년이다.	And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.
30	한 해가 다 지나가기까지 무르지 않으면 성곽 도시에 있는 그 집은 아주 산 사람의 것이 되어 버린다. 희년이 되어도 해약은 되지 않는다.	And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
31	성 밖에 있는 시골집은 들에 있는 것으로 쳐서 무를 권리가 있다. 희년이 되면 해약이 된다.	But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
32	레위인들의 마을에서는 자기들이 차지한 마을 집들을 언제든지 팔았다가 무를 권리가 레위인들에게 있다.	Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
33	레위인이 자기가 살던 마을 집을 팔고 무르지 않더라도 희년이 되면 그 매매가 무효가 된다. 레위인들의 마을 집들은 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 그들이 차지한 영원한 소유이기 때문이다.	And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
34	그들의 마을에 딸린 목장도 그들의 영구 소유지로서, 사고 팔 수 있는 것이 아니다.	But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
35	너희 동족 가운데 누가 옹색하게 되어, 너희에게 의탁해야 할 신세가 되거든, 너희는 그를 몸붙여 사는 식객처럼 붙들어 주고 함께 데리고 살아라.	And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.
36	너희는 그에게서 세나 이자를 받지 못한다. 너희는 하느님 두려운 줄 알아 그런 동족을 함께 데리고 살아야 한다.	Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.
37	너희는 그에게 이잣돈도 놓지 못하고, 그에게 양식을 장리로 꾸어주지도 못한다.	Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.
38	나 야훼가 너희를 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 너희 하느님이다. 나는 너희에게 가나안 땅을 주어 너희의 하느님이 되리라.	I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
39	너희와 함께 사는 너희 동족 가운데 누가 옹색하게 되어 너희에게 몸을 팔았을 경우에 너희는 그를 종 부리듯 부리지 못한다.	And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:
40	너희는 그를 품꾼이나 식객처럼 데리고 살며 일을 시키다가 희년이 되면	But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubile:
41	자식들과 함께 집에서 내보내어 자기 지파로 조상의 소유지를 찾아 돌아가게 해야 한다.	And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
42	그들은 내가 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 나의 종들이니, 종이 팔리듯이 팔려서는 안 된다.	For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
43	너희는 하느님 두려운 줄 알아 그를 심하게 부리지 마라.	Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
44	너희는 남종이나 여종을 두려면 너희 주변에 있는 다른 민족들에게서 구해야 한다. 그들에게서 남종과 여종을 사들일 수 있고	Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
45	또 너희에게 몸붙여 사는 외국인들의 자손 중에서도 사들일 수 있으며 너희 땅에 와서 낳은 자식들로서 너희와 섞여 사는 그들의 친척들 가운데서도 사들여 너희의 소유로 삼을 수 있다.	Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
46	너희는 이 종들을 자손에게 대대로 물려주어 언제까지나 소유하게 할 수 있다. 너희는 그들을 종으로 부릴 수 있으나 너희 동족 이스라엘 백성끼리는 아무도 심하게 부릴 수 없다.	And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
47	너희와 어울려 사는 외국인 가운데 넉넉히 사는 사람이 있는데 너희 동족 가운데 누가 옹색해져서 그에게 붙어 살게 되었다고 하자. 또 누가 너희와 어울려 사는 외국인이나 그 외국인 친척의 자손에게 팔려갔다고 하자.	And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:
48	이렇게 팔린 다음에도 그는 값을 치르고 풀려날 수 있다. 그의 동기 가운데서 누군가가 그를 물러낼 수 있는 것이다.	After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:
49	그렇지 못하면 그의 삼촌이나 사촌이 그를 물러낼 수 있다. 그렇게도 안 되면 집안에서 가까운 친척이 그를 물러낼 수 있다. 혹시 본인에게 힘이 생기면 스스로 제 몸을 물러낼 수도 있다.	Either his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.
50	그가 자기를 사는 사람과 몸값을 정하는데는 팔려가는 해에서 희년까지 몇 해인지 따져 그 햇수 동안 그 집에서 머슴살이하는 것으로 치고 계산하는 것이다.	And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.
51	그러므로 몸을 무를 때에는 자기를 판 돈을 그 햇수로 따져서 햇수가 많이 남았으면 그만큼 많이 내야 한다.	If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
52	희년까지 남은 햇수가 적으면, 그 햇수를 따라 그만큼 적게 내고 무를 수 있다.	And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubile, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.
53	주인은 그를 한 해 한 해 머슴살이하는 사람으로서 대접을 해야 하고 심하게 부리지는 못한다.	And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.
54	그가 이런 조건으로 값을 치르고 풀려나지 못했으면, 희년에 가서야 자식들과 함께 자유의 몸이 되리라.	And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.
55	이스라엘 백성은 나의 종, 내가 이집트 땅에서 이끌어낸 나의 종이다. 나 야훼가 너희의 하느님이다.	For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
