1	귀향민이 자리를 잡다 백성의 지도자들과 일반 백성 가운데 확률이 열의 하나인 제비에 뽑힌 사람들이 이 거룩한 도성 예루살렘에서 살게 되었다. 나머지 아홉은 지방 성읍들에서 살게 되었다.	And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.
2	예루살렘에서 살겠다고 자원하는 사람도 있었는데 이런 사람은 모두 칭찬을 받았다.	And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.
3	예루살렘에 자리를 잡은 유다 지방 어른들은 다음과 같다. 다른 이스라엘 사람들은 사제, 레위인, 성전 막일꾼, 솔로몬의 종들의 후손 구별없이 제 땅이 있는 유다 각 성읍에 자리를 잡았다.	Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants.
4	예루살렘에 자리잡은 유다 후손과 베냐민 후손. 유다 후손으로서는 아다야, 그의 아비는 우찌야, 그 윗대는 즈가리야, 그 윗대는 아마리야, 그 윗대는 스바티야, 그 윗대는 마할랄렐, 그 윗대는 베레스.	And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;
5	다음은 마아세야, 그의 아비는 바룩, 그 윗대는 골호재, 그 윗대는 하자야, 그 윗대는 아다야, 그 윗대는 요야립, 그 윗대는 즈가리야, 그 윗대는 셀라.	And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col–hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.
6	예루살렘에 자리잡은 베레스의 후손 장정은 모두 사백육십팔 명.	All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
7	베냐민 후손은 아래와 같다. 살루, 그의 아비는 므술람, 그 윗대는 요엣, 그 윗대는 브다야, 그 윗대는 콜라야, 그 윗대는 마아세야, 그 윗대는 이디엘, 그 윗대는 이사야.	And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.
8	그의 일가 장정은 구백이십팔 명이었다.	And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.
9	지그리의 아들 요엘이 그들의 우두머리요, 하쓰누아의 아들 유다가 그 도성의 부장이었다.	And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah was second over the city.
10	사제로서는 여다야, 요야립, 야긴,	Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin.
11	스라야. 스라야의 아비는 힐키야, 그 윗대는 므술람, 그 윗대는 사독, 그 윗대는 므라욧, 그 윗대는 하느님의 성전 책임자였던 아히툽이었다.	Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house of God.
12	그들의 일가가 성전 일을 책임졌는데 수효는 팔백이십이 명이었다. 또 아다야, 그의 아비는 여로함, 그 윗대는 블랄리야, 그 윗대는 암시, 그 윗대는 즈가리야, 그 윗대는 바스훌, 그 윗대는 말기야.	And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,
13	그의 일가 각 가문 어른들의 수효는 이백사십이 명이었다. 또 아마새, 그의 아비는 아자렐, 그 윗대는 아하재, 그 윗대는 므실레못, 그 윗대는 임멜.	And his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
14	그의 일가 용사들의 수효는 백이십팔 명이었다. 그들의 우두머리는 하끄돌림의 아들 잡디엘이었다.	And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.
15	레위인으로서는 스마야, 그의 아비는 하숩, 그 윗대는 아즈리캄, 그 윗대는 하사비야, 그 윗대는 분니.	Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
16	레위인 어른들 가운데서 삽대와 요자밧은 하느님의 성전 외무를 맡았다.	And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.
17	또 마따니야, 그의 아비는 미가, 그 윗대는 잡디, 그 윗대는 아삽. 그는 기도드릴 때 감사 찬양을 부르는 성가대 대장이었다. 부대장은 박부키야였다. 또 압다, 그의 아비는 삼무아, 그 윗대는 갈랄, 그 윗대는 여두둔.	And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
18	거룩한 도성에 자리잡은 이들 레위인은 모두 이백팔십사 명이었다.	All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
19	수위로서는 아쿱과 탈몬의 일가 백칠십이 명.	Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.
20	나머지 이스라엘 일반민과 사제와 레위인들은 저마다 자기의 밭이 있는 유다 성읍들에 자리를 잡았다.	And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
21	성전 막일꾼들은 오벨에 자리를 잡았다. 그들을 거느리는 사람은 시하와 기스바였다.	But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.
22	예루살렘에 자리잡은 레위인들의 우두머리는 우찌였다. 그는 하느님의 성전에서 예배할 때 앞에 나서서 찬양을 했던 아삽의 후손으로서 그의 아비는 바니, 그 윗대는 하사비야, 그 윗대는 마따니야, 그 윗대는 미가였다.	The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
23	합창대원들에게는 날마다 어김없이 지킬 어명이 내려져 있었다.	For it was the king’s commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.
24	유다의 아들 제라 후손 가운데서 므세자브엘의 아들 브다히야가 황제의 옆에서 백성 다스리는 일을 거들었다.	And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25	시골 마을들로 말하면, 키럇알바와 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 디본과 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 여캅스엘과 거기에 딸린 촌락들에 유다 후손의 일부가 자리잡았고,	And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjath–arba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,
26	또 예수아, 몰라다, 벳벨렛,	And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Beth–phelet,
27	하살수알, 브엘세바와 거기에 딸린 촌락들,	And at Hazar–shual, and at Beer–sheba, and in the villages thereof,
28	시글락, 므고나와 거기에 딸린 촌락들,	And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,
29	엔림몬, 소라, 야르뭇,	And at En–rimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth,
30	자노아, 아둘람과 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 라기스와 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 아제카와 거기에 딸린 촌락들에 자리잡았다. 이렇게 브엘세바에서 힌놈 골짜기에 이르기까지 차지하고 살게 되었다.	Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beer–sheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
31	베냐민 후손이 자리잡은 곳은 게바, 믹마스, 아야, 베델과 거기에 딸린 촌락들,	The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Beth–el, and in their villages,
32	아나돗, 놉, 아나니야,	And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33	하솔, 라마, 기따임,	Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34	하딧, 스보임, 느발랏,	Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35	롯, 오노, 대장장이 골짜기였다.	Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
36	일부 레위인들은 유다에서 베냐민으로 가서 자리를 잡았다.	And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.
