1 Ez pedig a Noé fiainak, Sémnek, Khámnak és Jáfetnek nemzetsége; és fiaik születének az özönvíz után. Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2 Jáfetnek fiai: Gómer, Mágog, Madai, Jáván, Thubál, Mésekh és Thirász. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 A Gómer fiai pedig: Askhenáz, Rifáth, és Tógármah. And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Jávánnak pedig fiai: Elisah, Thársis, Kitthim és Dodánim. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Ezekből váltak ki a szigetlakó népek az ő országaikban, mindenik a maga nyelve, családja és nemzetsége szerint. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6 Khámnak pedig fiai: Khús, Miczráim, Pút és Kanaán. And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7 Khúsnak pedig fiai: Széba, Hávilah, Szábthah, Rahmáh, Szabthékah. Rahmáhnak pedig fiai: Séba és Dédán. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
8 Khús nemzé Nimródot is; ez kezde hatalmassá lenni a földön. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 Ez hatalmas vadász vala az Úr előtt, azért mondják: Hatalmas vadász az Úr előtt, mint Nimród. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.
10 Az ő birodalmának kezdete volt Bábel, Erekh, Akkád és Kálnéh a Sineár földén. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 E földről ment aztán Assiriába, és építé Ninivét, Rekhoboth városát, és Kaláht. Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
12 És Reszent Ninivé között és Kaláh között: ez az a nagy város. And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
13 Miczráim pedig nemzé: Lúdimot, Anámimot, Lehábimot és Naftukhimot. And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14 Pathruszimot és Kaszlukhimot, a honnan a Filiszteusok származtak, és Kafthorimot. And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
15 Kanaán pedig nemzé Czídont, az ő elsőszülöttét, és Khétet. And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
16 Jebuzeust, Emorreust, és Girgazeust. And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
17 Khivveust, Harkeust, és Szineust. And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18 Arvadeust, Czemareust, Hamatheust. És azután elszéledének a Kananeusok nemzetségei. And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
19 Vala pedig a Kananeusok határa, Czídonból Gérár felé menve Gázáig; Sodoma, Gomora, Ádmáh, és Czeboim felé menve Lésáig. And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
20 Ezek a Khám fiai családjok, nyelvök, földjök s nemzetségök szerint. These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
21 Sémnek is lettek gyermekei; a ki Héber minden fiainak atyja, Jáfetnek testvérbátyja vala. Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
22 Sém fiai: Élám, Assur, Arpaksád, Lúd és Arám. The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Arámnak fiai pedig: Úcz, Húl, Gether és Más. And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 Arpaksád pedig nemzé Séláht, Séláh pedig Hébert. And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
25 Hébernek is lett két fia: Az egyiknek neve Péleg, mivelhogy az ő idejében osztatott el a föld; testvérének pedig neve Joktán. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
26 Joktán pedig nemzé Almodádot, Sélefet, Haczarmávethet és Jerákhot. And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
27 Hadórámot, Úzált és Dikláth. And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 Obált, Abimáélt és Sébát. And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29 Ofirt, Havilát és Jóbábot. Ezek mind a Joktán fiai. And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
30 És vala ezeknek lakása, Mésától fogva Séfárba menve a napkeleti hegyekig. And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
31 Ezek a Sém fiai családjok, nyelvök, földjök és nemzetségök szerint. These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
32 Ezek a Noé fiainak családjai az ő nemzetségeik szerint, az ő népeik között, és ezektől szaporodának el a népek a földön, az özönvíz után. These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
