| 1 | သင်၏အစာကို ရေပေါ်မှာပစ်ချလော့။ ကာလ ကြာမြင့်မှ တဖန်တွေ့လေဦးမည်။ | Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. |
| 2 | လူခုနစ်ယောက်မက၊ ရှစ်ယောက်တို့အား ဝေမျှ လော့။ မြေပေါ်မှာအဘယ်အမှုရောက်မည်ကို သင်မသိ။ | Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. |
| 3 | မိုဃ်းတိမ်တို့သည် မိုဃ်းရေနှင့်ပြည့်သောအခါ မြေပေါ်မှာရွာတတ်၏။ သစ်ပင်သည် တောင်ဘက်သို့ လဲသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ မြောက်လက်သို့လဲသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ လဲသောအရပ်၌ နေရာကျ၏။ | If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be. |
| 4 | လေကိုမှတ်တတ်သောသူသည် မျိုးစေ့ကိုမကြဲ။ မိုဃ်း တိမ်တို့ကို ပမာဏပြုတတ်သော သူသည်လည်း စပါးကိုမရိပ် ရာ။ | He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. |
| 5 | နံဝိညာဉ်သွားရာလမ်းကို၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်ဝန်ဆောင် သော မိန်းမဝမ်း၌အရိုးတို့သည် အဘယ်သို့တိုးပွားသည်ကို ၎င်း မသိနိုင်သကဲ့သို့၊ အလုံးစုံတို့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်၏အမှုတော်တို့ကို မသိနိုင်။ | As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. |
| 6 | နံနက်အချိန်၌ မျိုးစေ့ကိုကြဲလော့။ ညဦးအချိန်၌ လည်း မကြဲဘဲမနေနှင့်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ အဘယ်အရာ သည် အကျိုးရှိမည်ကို၎င်း၊ နှစ်ပါးစလုံးတို့သည် အညီ အမျှအကျိုးရှိမည်ကို၎င်း မသိနိုင်။ | In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. |
| 7 | အကယ်စင်စစ် အလင်းသည်ချို၏။ နေရောင် ခြည်ကိုမြင်၍ ပျော်ပါးစရာရှိ၏။ | Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun: |
| 8 | သို့ရာတွင်၊ လူသည်အသက်တာရှည်၍ အစဉ် ရွှင်လန်းသော်လည်း၊ မှောင်မိုက်ကာလကို အောက်မေ့ ပါစေ။ ထိုကာလကြာမြင့်လိမ့်မည်။ ဖြစ်လတံ့သမျှတို့သည် အနတ္တသက်သက်ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ | But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity. |
| 9 | အချင်းလူပျို၊ အသက်ပျိုသောအခါ ပျော်မွေ့ လော့။ အသက်ပျိုစဉ်ကာလတွင် စိတ်ရွှင်လန်းခြင်း ရှိလော့။ ကိုယ်အလိုရှိရာလမ်းနှင့်၊ ကိုယ်ဉာဏ်ပြသော လမ်းသို့လိုက်လော့။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ ထိုအမှုအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ဘုရားသခင်စစ်ကြော၍၊ သင့်ကို အပြစ်ပေးတော်မူမည် ဟု အောက်မေ့လော့။ | Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. |
| 10 | သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ စိတ်ညှိုးငယ်ခြင်းအကြောင်းနှင့်၊ ကိုယ် ဆင်းရဲခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ပယ်ရှားလော့။ အသက်ငယ် ခြင်းအရာနှင့် အရွယ်ပျိုခြင်းအရာသည် အနတ္တဖြစ်၏။ | Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. |
