| 1 | ပညာရှိသောမိန်းမသည် မိမိအိမ်ကို တည် ဆောက်တတ်၏။ မိုက်သောမိန်းမမူကား၊ ကိုယ်လက်နှင့် ဖြိုဖျက်တတ်၏။ | Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. |
| 2 | ဖြောင့်သောလမ်းသို့လိုက်သောသူသည် ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့တတ်၏။ ကောက်သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူမူကား၊ မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုတတ်၏။ | He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. |
| 3 | မိုက်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်၌မာနကြိမ်လုံးရှိ၏။ ပညာ ရှိသောသူ၏ နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် ကယ်တင်သောအမှုကို ပြုတတ်၏။ | In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. |
| 4 | နွားထီးမရှိသော တင်းကုပ်သည် စင်ကြယ်၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ နွားခွန်အားကိုသုံး၍ များသောစီးပွားကို ရတတ်၏။ | Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. |
| 5 | သစ္စာရှိသောသက်သေသည် မုသာမသုံးတတ်။ သစ္စာပျက်သော သက်သေမူကား၊ မုသာကိုသုံးတတ်၏။ | A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. |
| 6 | မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသောသူသည် ပညာကိုရှာ၍ မတွေ့ရာ။ ဉာဏ်ရှိသောသူမူကား၊ ပညာအတတ်ကို ရလွယ်၏။ | A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. |
| 7 | မိုက်သောသူနှင့်တွေ့၍ သူ၏နှုတ်၌ ပညာ အတတ်မရှိသည်ကို သိမြင်လျှင်၊ ထိုသူကို ရှောင်သွား လော့။ | Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. |
| 8 | ပညာသတိရှိသော သူ၏ပညာကား၊ ကိုယ်သွား ရသော လမ်းကို သိခြင်းတည်း။ မိုက်သောသူ၏ မိုက်ခြင်း မူကား၊ ပရိယာယ်တည်း။ | The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. |
| 9 | မိုက်သောသူတို့သည် ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို မထီ လေးစားပြုကြ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူတို့မူကား၊ တယောက်ကိုတယောက် ကျေးဇူးပြုကြ၏။ | Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. |
| 10 | စိတ်နှလုံးသည် မိမိဒုက္ခကို သိ၏။ စိတ်နှလုံး ရွှင်လန်းခြင်း အကြောင်းကိုလည်း သူတပါးမဆိုင်တတ်။ | The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. |
| 11 | မတရားသောသူ၏အိမ်သည် ပြိုလဲတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူ၏တဲမူကား၊ ပွင့်လန်းတတ်၏။ | The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. |
| 12 | လူထင်သည်အတိုင်း မှန်သောလက္ခဏာရှိသော် လည်း၊ အဆုံး၌ သေခြင်းသို့ပို့သော လမ်းတမျိုးရှိ၏။ | There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. |
| 13 | လူသည် ရယ်စဉ်အခါပင်၊ ဝမ်းနည်းသော စိတ် သဘောရှိ၏။ ထိုရယ်မောရွှင်လန်းခြင်းအဆုံး၌လည်း ညှိုးငယ်ခြင်းရှိတတ်၏။ | Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. |
| 14 | စိတ်နှလုံးဖေါက်ပြန်သောသူဖြစ်စေ၊ သူတော် ကောင်းဖြစ်စေ၊ မိမိအကျင့်တို့နှင့်ဝလိမ့်မည်။ | The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. |
| 15 | ဉာဏ်တိမ်သော သူသည်သူတပါး ပြောသမျှကို ယုံတတ်၏။ ပညာသတိရှိသောသူမူကား၊ မိမိသွားရာ လမ်းကို စေ့စေ့ကြည့်ရှုတတ်၏။ | The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. |
| 16 | ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ကြောက်၍ ဒုစရိုက်ကို ရှောင်တတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူမူကား မာနကြီး၍ ရဲရင့် တတ်၏။ | A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. |
| 17 | စိတ်တိုသောသူသည် မိုက်စွာသောအမှုကို ပြုတတ်၏။ မကောင်းသောအကြံကို ကြံသောသူကိုလည်း သူတပါးမုန်းလိမ့်မည်။ | He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. |
| 18 | ဉာဏ်တိမ်သော သူသည်မိုက်ခြင်းကို အမွေခံ တတ်၏။ ပညာသတိရှိသောသူမူကား၊ သိပ္ပံသရဖူကို ဆောင်းတတ်၏။ | The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. |
| 19 | လူဆိုးတို့သည် သူတော်ကောင်းရှေ့၌၎င်း၊ မတရားသောသူတို့သည် ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ အိမ် တံခါးဝ၌၎င်း ဦးချတတ်ကြ၏။ | The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. |
| 20 | ဆင်းရဲသောသူသည် မိမိအိမ်နီးချင်း မုန်းခြင်း ကိုပင် ခံရမည်။ ငွေရတတ်သောသူ၌မူကား၊ များစွာ သော အဆွေခင်ပွန်းရှိလိမ့်မည်။ | The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. |
| 21 | မိမိအိမ်နီးချင်းကို မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသော သူသည် အပြစ်ရှိ၏။ ဆင်းရဲသော သူကိုသနားသောသူမူကား၊ မင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ | He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. |
| 22 | မကောင်းသော အကြံကိုကြံတတ်သော သူတို့ သည် မှားယွင်းကြလိမ့်မည်။ ကျေးဇူးပြုမည်ဟု ကြံတတ် သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ကရုဏာအကျိုး နှင့်သစ္စာအကျိုးကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good. |
| 23 | ကြိုးစား၍ လုပ်လေရာရာ၌ကျေးဇူးရှိ၏။ စကား များခြင်းအကျိုးမူကား၊ ဆင်းရဲခြင်းသက်သက်တည်း။ | In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. |
| 24 | ပညာရှိသောသူတို့၏ စည်းစိမ်ဥစ္စာသည် သူတို့ ဦးရစ်သရဖူဖြစ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့၏ မိုက်ခြင်းမူကား၊ အမိုက်သက်သက်ဖြစ်၏။ | The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly. |
| 25 | မှန်သောသက်သေသည် သူ့အသက်ကို ကယ် တင်တတ်၏။ မမှန်သောသက်သေမူကား၊ မုသာကို သုံးတတ်၏။ | A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. |
| 26 | ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းသည် အားကြီး သော ကိုးစားရာအခွင့်ကိုဖြစ်စေတတ်၏။ သားတော်တို့ သည်လည်း ၊ ခိုလှုံရာအရပ်ကို ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ | In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. |
| 27 | ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့သောသဘောသည် အသေခံရာ ကျော့ကွင်းတို့မှ လွှဲရှောင်ရာအသက် စမ်းရေ တွင်းဖြစ်၏။ | The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. |
| 28 | ပြည်သားများပြားရာ၌ ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ဘုန်းတော် တည်၏။ ပြည်သားနည်းပါးရာ၌ကား၊ မင်းအကျိုးနည်း ခြင်းရှိ၏။ | In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. |
| 29 | စိတ်ရှည်သောသူသည် ပညာကြီး၏။ စိတ်တို သောသူမူကား၊ အထူးသဖြင့် မိုက်ပေ၏။ | He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. |
| 30 | ကျန်းမာသောနှလုံးသည် ကိုယ်အသက်ရှင်စေ သောအကြောင်း၊ ငြူစူသော သဘောမူကား၊ အရိုး ဆွေးမြေ့ခြင်းအကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။ | A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. |
| 31 | ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူသည် ဖန် ဆင်းတော်မူသော ဘုရားကိုကဲ့ရဲ့၏။ ဘုရားကို ရိုသေ သောသူမူကား၊ ဆင်းရဲသောသူတို့ကို သနားတတ်၏။ | He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. |
| 32 | မတရားသောသူသည် မတရားသဖြင့် ပြုစဉ် အခါ၊ လှဲခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ သေသောအခါ၌ပင် မြော်လင့်စရာရှိ၏။ | The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death. |
| 33 | ဉာဏ်ရှိသောသူ၏ နှလုံး၌ပညာကျိန်းဝပ်တတ် ၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့၏အထဲ၌ ရှိသောအရာမူကား၊ ထင်ရှားတတ်၏။ | Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. |
| 34 | ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရားသည် ပြည်သားတို့ကို ချီးမြှောက်တတ်၏။ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်မူကား၊ ပြည်သားများ တို့ကို ရှုတ်ချတတ်၏။ | Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. |
| 35 | ပညာရှိသော အကျွန်အားရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ကျေးဇူးပြုတတ်၏။ အရှက်ခွဲတတ်သော ကျွန်မူကား၊ အမျက်တော်ကို ခံရမည်။ | The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. |
