| 1 | ယောဘပြန်၍ မြွက်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ | Then Job answered and said, |
| 2 | မှန်ပါ၏။ ထိုစကားမှန်ကြောင်းကိုငါသိ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း လူသည်ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့တော်၌ အဘယ် သို့ဖြောင့်မတ်ရာသို့ ရောက်နိုင်သနည်း။ | I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? |
| 3 | ဘုရားသခင်သည် အပြစ်တင်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုတော်ရှိလျှင်၊ လူသည်အပြစ်တထောင်တွင် တခုမျှ မဖြေနိုင်။ | If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. |
| 4 | ဘုရားသခင်သည်ထူးဆန်းသောဉာဏ်၊ ကြီးစွာသောတန်ခိုးနှင့် ပြည့်စုံတော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အဘယ်သူသည် အာဏာတော်ကို ဆန်၍အောင်နိုင်သနည်း။ | He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? |
| 5 | ဘုရားသခင်သည် တောင်တို့ကို အမှတ်တမဲ့ ရွှေ့တော်မူ၏။ အမျက်ထွက်၍ မှောက်လှန်တော်မူ၏။ | Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. |
| 6 | မြေကြီးကိုရွေ့စေခြင်းငှါ တွန်းတော်မူ၍၊ မြေတိုင်းတို့သည် တုန်လှုပ်ကြ၏။ | Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble. |
| 7 | နေကိုမှာထားတော်မူ၍ သူသည်မထွက်ရ။ ကြယ်တို့ကိုလည်း ကွယ်ထားတော်မူ၏။ | Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. |
| 8 | မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်ကို ကိုယ်တော်တပါးတည်း ဖြန့်မိုးတော်မူ၏။ သမုဒ္ဒရာလှိုင်းတံပိုးကို နင်းတော်မူ၏။ | Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. |
| 9 | အာရှကြယ်၊ ခသိလကြယ်၊ ခိမကြယ်စုမှစ၍ တောင်မျက်နှာ ကြယ်တိုက်တို့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူ၏။ | Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. |
| 10 | စစ်၍မသိနိုင်အောင် အလွန်ကြီးသောအမှု၊ မရေတွက်နိုင်အောင်များ၍ အံ့ဘွယ်သောအမှုတို့ကို ပြုတော်မူ၏။ | Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. |
| 11 | ငါ့ရှေ့မှာကြွတော်မူ၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုငါမမြင်ရ။ ရှောက်ဘွားတော်မူ၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုငါမရိပ်မိရ။ | Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not. |
| 12 | သိမ်းယူတော်မူသောအခါ အဘယ်သူသည် ဆီးတားနိုင်သနည်း။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်အဘယ်သို့ ပြုသနည်းဟု အဘယ်သူဆိုဝံ့သနည်း။ | Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou? |
| 13 | ဘုရားသခင်သည် အမျက်ပြေတော်မမူလျှင်၊ မာနကြီး၍ အားပေးသောသူတို့သည် ရှေ့တော်၌ နှိမ့်ချ ခြင်းကို ခံရကြ၏။ | If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him. |
| 14 | ထိုမျှမက ငါသည်အဘယ်သို့ ပြန်လျှောက်ရအံ့နည်း။ ရှေ့တော်၌ အဘယ်သို့သောစကားကို ရွေး၍ လျှောက်ရအံ့နည်း။ | How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him? |
| 15 | ငါသည် ဖြောင့်မတ်သော်လည်း ပြန်၍ မလျှောက်ဝံ့ဘဲ၊ တရားမှုကို ဆုံးဖြတ်တော်မူသော အရှင်ကို တောင်းပန်ရုံမျှသာပြုရ၏။ | Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge. |
| 16 | ငါခေါ်၍ အရှင်သည်ထူးတော်မူသော်လည်း၊ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်တော်မူမည်ဟု ငါမယုံနိုင်။ | If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. |
| 17 | အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မိုဃ်းသက်မုန်တိုင်းဖြင့် ငါ့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲ၍၊ အကြောင်းမရှိဘဲငါ၌ အနာတို့ကို များပြား စေတော်မူ၏။ | For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause. |
| 18 | ငါ့ကို အသက်ရူရသောအခွင့်မပေး။ ခါးစွာသော ဝေဒနာနှင့် ပြည့်စုံတော်မူ၏။ | He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness. |
| 19 | တန်ခိုးကိုအမှီပြုမည်ဆိုသော်၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် တန်ခိုးကြီးတော်မူ၏။ တရားကိုအမှီပြုမည်ဆိုပြန် သော်၊ အဘယ်သူသည် ငါ့ဘက်၌ သက်သေခံမည်နည်း။ | If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead? |
| 20 | ကိုယ်အပြစ်ကို ပြေစေခြင်းငှါပြုလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်စကားအားဖြင့် တရားရှုံးလိမ့်မည်။ ငါသည် စုံလင်ပြီဟု ဆိုပြန်လျှင်၊ ငါ့သဘောကောက်ကြောင်း ထင်ရှားလိမ့် မည်။ | If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. |
| 21 | တဖန်စုံလင်သော်လည်း၊ ကိုယ်စိတ်သဘောကို ကိုယ်မသိရ။ ကိုယ်အသက်ကို ပမာဏမပြုရ။ | Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life. |
| 22 | ငါပြောအံ့သောစကားတချက်ဟူမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် စုံလင်သောသူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ ဆိုးညစ်သော သူတို့ကို၎င်း ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူတတ်၏။ | This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked. |
| 23 | ချက်ခြင်းဘေးတစုံတခု ရောက်သောအခါ၊ အပြစ်မရှိသောသူခံရသည်အကြောင်းကို ရယ်တော်မူ၏။ | If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent. |
| 24 | မြေကြီးကိုလူဆိုးတို့ လက်၌အပ်၍၊ တရားသူကြီးတို့၏ မျက်နှာကို ဖျက်တော်မူ၏။ သို့မဟုတ် ထိုအမှုကို စီရင်သောသူကားအဘယ်သူနည်း။ | The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he? |
| 25 | တမြို့မှတမြို့သို့ စာပို့သောလုလင်ထက်၊ ငါ့နေ့ ရက်တို့သည် လျင်မြန်၍၊ ကောင်ကျိုးကိုမခံရဘဲ ပြေးတတ် ကြ၏။ | Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good. |
| 26 | လျင်မြန်သော သင်္ဘောကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ အကောင်ကို သုတ်လာသော ရွှေလင်းတကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ လွန်သွားတတ်ကြ ၏။ | They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey. |
| 27 | ငါသည်မြည်တမ်းသော စကားကိုဖြတ်၍၊ ရွှင်လန်းသောမျက်နှာကိုဆောင်လျက်၊ ရဲရင့်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်မည်ဟု ငါဆိုသော်လည်း၊ | If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself: |
| 28 | ငါခံရသော ဒုက္ခဝေဒနာများသောကြောင့်၊ ကြောက်သောသဘောရှိ၏။ အပြစ်လွှတ်စေဟု ငါ၌စီရင်တော် မမူကြောင်းကို ငါသိ၏။ | I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent. |
| 29 | ငါသည် အပြစ်သင့်ရောက်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် အချည်းနှီးကြိုးစားရမည်နည်း။ | If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain? |
| 30 | ငါ့ကိုယ်ကို မိုဃ်းပွင့်ရေနှင့်ဆေး၍၊ ငါ့လက်ကို ရှင်းရှင်းစင်ကြယ်စေသော်လည်း၊ | If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean; |
| 31 | ရွှံ့ထဲသို့ တွန်းချတော်မူ၍၊ ငါ့အဝတ်ပင် ငါ့ကိုယ် ကိုရွံလိမ့်မည်။ | Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me. |
| 32 | ငါသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏စကားကို တဦးနှင့်တဦး တရားတွေ့နိုင်မည်အကြောင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါကဲ့သို့ လူဖြစ်တော်မူသည်မဟုတ်။ | For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. |
| 33 | ငါတို့နှစ်ဦးကို ဆီးတားပိုင်သော စပ်ကြားနေ အမှုစောင့်မရှိ။ | Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both. |
| 34 | ငါ့ကိုဒဏ်ခတ်တော်မမူပါစေနှင့်။ ပြုတော်မူသော ဘေးကြောင့် ငါမကြောက်ပါစေနှင့်။ | Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me: |
| 35 | သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ ငါသည်မကြောက်ဘဲပြောရသော အခွင့်ရှိလိမ့်မည်။ ယခုမူကား၊ ပြောရသောအခွင့်ကိုမရ။ | Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me. |
