| 1 | ဖာရောဘုရင်သည် ဂါဇမြို့ကို မလုပ်ကြံမှီ၊ ဖိလိတ္တိအမျိုးသားတို့ကို ရည်မှတ်၍၊ ပရောဖက် ယေရမိသို့ရောက်လာသော နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်အားဖြင့်၊ | The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza. |
| 2 | ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ မြောက် မျက်နှာဘက်က ရေသည်ထ၍ လွှမ်းမိုးသောပင်လယ် ဖြစ်လျက်၊ တပြည်လုံးနှင့်၊ ပြည်၌ ပါသမျှကို၎င်း၊ မြို့နှင့် မြို့၌နေသော သူတို့ကို၎င်းလွှမ်းမိုး၍၊ သူတို့သည် အော်ဟစ် ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့သည် မြည်တမ်းကြ လိမ့်မည်။ | Thus saith the Lord; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. |

| 4 | အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဖိလိတ္တိအမျိုးသားတို့ကို ဖျက်ဆီးရသောနေ့၊ တုရုမြို့၊ ဇိဒုန်မြို့ကို စစ်ကူနိုင်သောသူ အကျန်အကြွင်းရှိသမျှကို ပယ်ဖြတ်ရသောနေ့သည် ရောက်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဖိလိတ္တိအမျိုးသားနှင့် ကျန် ကြွင်းသော ကတ္တောရပြည်သားတို့ကို သုတ်သင်ပယ်ရှင်း တော်မူမည်။ | Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the Lord will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor. |

| 6 | အိုထာဝရဘုရား၏ထားတော်၊ သင်သည် အဘယ်မျှကာလပတ်လုံး မငြိမ်ဘဲနေမည်နည်း။ ကိုယ် အိမ်၌ဝင်၍နေလော့။ နေရာကျ၍ ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာနေလော့။ | O thou sword of the Lord, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. |
| 7 | အာရှကေလုန်မြို့နှင့် ပင်လယ်ကမ်းအမှု၌ ထာဝရဘုရား မှာထားတော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ အဘယ် သို့ ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာနေနိုင်သနည်း။ ထိုအမှုကို ဆောင်ရွက်စေခြင်း ငှါ ခန့်ထားတော်မူ၏။ | How can it be quiet, seeing the Lord hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it. |
