| 1 | ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်ယောရှိသား ယောယကိမ် လက်ထက်၊ နေရိသားဗာရုတ်သည်၊ ယေရမိမြွက်ဆိုသည် အတိုင်း၊ စကားတော်များကို စာ၌ ရေးထားသောနောက်၊ ပရောဖက်ယေရမိသည် ဗာရုတ်အားဆင့်ဆိုရသော နှုတ် ကပတ်တော်ဟူမူကား၊ | The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying, |
| 2 | အိုဗာရုတ်၊ သင်က၊ ငါသည်အမင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါဝမ်းနည်းစရာ အကြောင်းတပါး အပေါ်မှာတပါးကို ထပ်ဆင့်တော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ ငါသည် သက်သာမရ။ ညည်းတွား၍ စိတ်ပျက်ပါပြီဟု ဆိုသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်သည်ဆင့်ဆိုရမည်မှာ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည် ကား၊ ငါဆောက်သောအရာကို ငါဖြိုဖျက်မည်။ ငါစိုက် သော အရာတည်းဟူသော ဤပြည်ကို အကြွင်းမဲ့ ငါနှုတ် ပစ်မည်။ | Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch; |

| 5 | သင်သည် ကြီးစွာသော အရာတို့ကို ကိုယ်အဘို့ ရှာသလော။ မရှာနှင့်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ခပ်သိမ်းသော သတ္တဝါတို့အပေါ်သို့ ဘေးရောက်စေမည်။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ သင်ရောက်လေရာအရပ်တို့၌၊ သင်၏ အသက်ကို လက်ရဥစ္စာကဲ့သို့ သင့်အားငါပေးမည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest. |
