| 2 | ငါသည် အိပ်ပျော်စဉ်၊ နှလုံးနိုးလျက်ရှိ၏။ ငါချစ်ရာ သခင်၏စကားသံပေ။ ငါ့နှမ၊ ငါချစ်သောအမိ၊ ငါ့ချိုး၊ ငါ၏စုံလင်သူ၊ ငါအားဖွင့်ပါ။ ငါ့ခေါင်းသည် နှင်းနှင့်၎င်း၊ ငါ့ဆံပင်သည် ညဉ့်၌ကျတတ်သော နှင်းစက် များနှင့်၎င်း စိုပြီဟုဆိုလျက်၊ ခေါက်၍နေတော်မူ၏။ | I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night. |
