| 1 | ထိုအခါယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌ ရှိသော အသင်းတော် သည် ပြင်းစွာ သောညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းကိုခံရသဖြင့် တမန်တော် တို့မှတပါး သင်းဝင်သူ အပေါင်းတို့သည် ယုဒပြည်၊ ရှမာရိပြည်အရပ်ရပ်တို့၌ အနှံ့အပြားကွဲပြား ကြ၏။ | And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. |

| 5 | ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်လည်း၊ ရှာမာရိမြို့သို့သွား၍ ခရစ်တော်၏ အကြောင်းကိုဟောလေ၏။ | Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. |
| 6 | လူအစုအဝေးတို့သည်ကြား၍ ဖိလိပ္ပုပြုသော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတို့ကို မြင်သောအခါ၊ သူ၏စကားကို တညီတညွတ်တည်း နားထောင်ကြ ၏။ | And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. |
| 7 | အကြောင်းမူကား၊ နတ်ဆိုးစွဲသော သူများတို့၏ အထဲမှ နတ်ဆိုး တို့သည် ပြင်းစွာသော အသံနှင့် အော်ဟစ်လျက်ထွက်သွားကြ၏။ ကိုယ်မ လှုပ်နိုင်သောသူ၊ ခြေမစွမ်းသောသူအများတို့သည်လည်း ပကတိအဖြစ် သို့ရောက်ကြ၏။ | For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. |
| 8 | ထိုမြို့သူမြို့သားတို့သည် အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းရှိကြ၏။ | And there was great joy in that city. |
| 9 | ရှိမုန်အမည်ရှိသော သူတယောက်သည်၊ ထိုမြို့၌ နတ်ဝိဇ္ဇာ အတတ်နှင့်ပြုပြင်၍၊ ငါသည်ထူးဆန်းသော သူဖြစ်သည်ဟုဆိုလျက်၊ ရှမာရိအမျိုးသားတို့ကို မိန်းမောတွေဝေစေခြင်းငှါပြု၏။ | But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: |

| 11 | ဆည်းကပ်သည်အကြောင်းကား၊ သူတို့ကို မိန်းမောတွေဝေစေ ခြင်းငှါ ထိုသူသည် နတ်ဝိဇ္ဇာအတတ် အားဖြင့် ကြာမြင့်စွာပြုလျက်နေ၏။ | And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. |
| 12 | ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏နိုင်ငံတော်၌၎င်း၊ ယေရှုခရစ်၏ နာမတော်နှင့်၎င်း စပ်ဆိုင်သော ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောပြော၍ ထိုသူတို့သည် ယုံကြည်သော အခါ၊ ယောက်ျားမိန်းမတို့သည် ဗတ္တိဇံကို ခံကြ၏။ | But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. |
| 13 | ရှိမုန်သည်လည်း ကိုယ်တိုင်ယုံကြည်သည်ဖြစ်၍ ဗတ္တိဇံကို ခံပြီးမှ ဖိလိပ္ပုထံ၌မှီဝဲဆည်းကပ်သဖြင့်၊ ထူးဆန်း သော တန်ခိုးကြီးသော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာများကို မြင်၍ မိန်းမောတွေဝေလျက်ရှိလေ၏။ | Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. |
| 14 | ရှမာရိမြို့သားတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တရားတော်ကို ခံယူကြပြီဟု ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌ ရှိသော တမန်တော်တို့သည် သိတင်း ကြားလျှင်၊ ပေတရုနှင့်ယောဟန်တို့ကို စေလွှတ်ကြ၏။ | Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: |

| 16 | တစုံတယောက်သောသူအပေါ်၌ သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် သက်ရောက်တော် မမူသေးသည် ဖြစ်၍၊ တမန်တော်တို့သည် ရောက်ကြလျှင်၊ ဝိညာဉ်တော် ကိုခံရမည်အကြောင်း ထိုမြို့သူမြို့သားတို့ အဘို့ ဆုတောင်း၍၊ | (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) |
| 17 | ထိုသူတို့အပေါ်၌ လက်ကိုတင်သောအားဖြင့် သူတို့သည် သန့်ရှင်းသောဝိညာဉ်တော်ကိုခံရကြ၏။ | Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. |
| 18 | တမန်တော်တို့လက်ကိုတင်သောအားဖြင့် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်သက်ရောက်သည်ကို ရှိမုန်မြင်လျှင်၊ ငွေကိုယူဆောင်ခဲ့၍၊ | And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, |
| 19 | အကျွန်ုပ်၏ လက်တင်ခြင်းကိုခံရသောသူသည် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကိုခံစေမည်အကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ်အား အခွင့်ပေးပါဟု တောင်းသော်၊ | Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. |
| 20 | ပေတရုက၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ငွေနှင့်ဝယ်ယူမည် ဟု အကြံရှိသောကြောင့်၊ သင်နှင့် တကွသင်၏ ငွေသည်ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ပါစေ။ | But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. |
| 21 | သင်သည်ဤအမှုအရာနှင့် မဆက်ဆံသော သူဖြစ်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်၏စိတ်နှလုံးသည် ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့တော်၌ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းမရှိ။ | Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. |
| 22 | ထိုကြောင့်သင်၌ ယခုဆိုးညစ်သောအမှုကို နောင်တရလော့။ သင်၏စိတ်နှလုံး၌ကြံစည်ခြင်းအပြစ်ကို လွှတ်ကောင်းလွှတ်လိမ့်မည် ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကို တောင်းပန်လော့။ | Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. |
| 23 | သင်သည်ခါးစွာသောသည်းခြေစွဲသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဒုစရိုက်အနှောင် အဖွဲ့နှင့်မလွတ်ကြောင်းကို ငါသိမြင် သည်ဟုဆို၏။ | For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. |
| 24 | ရှိမုန်ကလည်း၊ မိန့်တော်မူသောအရာ တစုံ တခုမျှ အကျွန်ုပ် အပေါ်သို့ မရောက်ပါမည် အကြောင်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကျွန်ုပ်အဘို့ အလိုငှါ ဆုတောင်းတော်မူ ကြပါဟု ပြန်ပြော၏။ | Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me. |
| 25 | တမန်တော်တို့သည် သက်သေခံ၍ သခင်ဘုရား ၏နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကိုဟောပြီးမှ၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ သို့ ပြန်သွားရာ၊ ရှာမာရိရွာများတို့၌လည်း ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောပြောကြ၏။ | And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. |
| 26 | တဖန် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် ဖိလိပ္ပုအား၊ သင်ထ၍ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှ ဂါဇမြို့ သို့သွားရာ တောလမ်းတွင် တောင်မျက်နှာသို့ သွားလော့ ဟု ဆိုသည်အတိုင်း၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်ထ၍ သွားလေ၏။ | And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. |
| 27 | ထိုအခါ အဲသယောပိပြည်ကိုအစိုးရသော မိဖုရားကန္ဒက်ထံ၌ ဘုန်းကြီးသောအမတ်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘဏ္ဍတော်ရှိသမျှကို အုပ်စိုးရသော အဲသယောပိ ပြည်သား တယောက်သည် ကိုးကွယ်ခြင်းငှါ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ သို့သွား၍၊ | And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, |
| 28 | ပြန်စဉ်တွင် မိမိရထားပေါ်၌ထိုင်လျက် ပရောဖက်ဟေရှာယ၏ ကျမ်းစာကို ဘတ်လေ၏။ | Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. |
| 29 | ဝိညာဉ်တော်ကလည်း၊ ထိုရထားသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်၍ မှီဝဲလော့ဟု ဖိလိပ္ပုအား ဗျာဒိတ်ပေးတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ | Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. |
| 30 | ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ရထားသို့ပြေး၍ ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယ၏ ကျမ်းစာ၌ ဘတ်သည်ကိုကြားလျှင်၊ ဘတ်သောအရာကို နားလည်ပါ၏ လောဟု မေးမြန်း၏။ | And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? |
| 31 | ထိုအမတ်ကလည်း၊ သွန်သင်ပဲ့ပြင်သော သူမရှိလျှင် အဘယ်သို့ နားလည်နိုင်မည်နည်းဟု ဆိုပြီးမှ မိမိနှင့်အတူ ဖိလိပ္ပုတက်၍ထိုင်နေ ပါမည်အကြောင်း တောင်းပန်၏။ | And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. |
| 32 | ကျမ်းစာ၌ ဘတ်သောအချက်ဟူမူကား၊ အသေ သတ်ခြင်းငှါ ဆောင်သွားသော သိုးကဲ့သို့ သူ့ကို ဆောင်သွား၍၊ သိုးသငယ်သည် အမွေးညှပ်သောသူ ရှေ့မှာ မမြည်ဘဲ နေသကဲ့သို့ သူသည်နှုတ်ကိုမဖွင့် ဘဲနေ၏။ | The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: |
| 33 | နှိမ့်ချခြင်းကိုခံစဉ်တွင် သူတပါးတို့သည် ထိုသူကို မတရားသ ဖြင့် စီရင်ကြ၏။ ထိုသူ၏အသက်ကို မြေကြီးကသိမ်းရုပ်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သူ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်ကို အဘယ်သူပြညွှန်မည်နည်းဟု ကျမ်းစာ လာသ တည်း။ | In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. |
| 34 | ထိုအမတ်ကလည်း၊ ပရောဖက်သည် အဘယ် သူကို ရည်မှတ်၍ ဤသို့ဆိုပါသနည်း။ ကိုယ်ကိုတည်း ဆိုလိုသလော။ သူတပါးကိုတည်း ဆိုလိုသလောဟု တောင်းပန်လျက်၊ | And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? |
| 35 | ဖိလိပ္ပုအား မေးမြန်းလျှင်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် မိမိနှုတ်ကိုဖွင့်၍ ထိုကျမ်းစာချက်ကို အစွဲပြုလျက်၊ ယေရှု၏အကြောင်းတည်းဟူသော ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောလေ၏။ | Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. |
| 36 | ထိုသို့လမ်း၌သွားကြစဉ် ရေရှိရာသို့ရောက်၍၊ အမတ်ကလည်း ဤအရပ်တွင်ရေရှိပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်ကို ဗတ္တိဇံမခံစေခြင်းငှါ မည်သည့် အကြောင်းဆီးတား ပါသနည်းဟု ပြောဆိုလျှင်၊ | And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? |
| 37 | ဖိလိပ္ပုက၊ သင်သည် စိတ်နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့ ယုံကြည်လျှင် ခံရသည် ဟုဆိုလေ၏။ အမတ်ကလည်း၊ ယေရှုခရစ်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်တော်မူ ကြောင်းကို အကျွန်ုပ်ယုံကြည်ပါသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံ၍၊ | And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. |
| 38 | ရထားကိုရပ်စေခြင်းငှါစီရင်ပြီးမှ၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် ထိုအမတ်နှင့် တကွရေထဲသို့ဆင်း၍ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေး၏။ | And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. |
| 39 | ရေထဲကတက်ကြလျှင်၊ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ဖိလိပ္ပုကိုဆောင်ယူတော်မူ၍၊ အမတ်သည် ဖိလိပ္ပုကို နောက်တဖန်မတွေ့မမြင်ရ။ ဝမ်းမြောက်ဝမ်းသာခြင်းနှင့် မိမိ သွားရသောလမ်းကို သွားလေ၏။ | And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. |
| 40 | ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်လည်း အာဇုတ်မြို့၌ ပေါ်လာ၍၊ ထိုမြို့မှကဲသရိ မြို့တိုင်အောင် မြို့ရွာအစဉ်အတိုင်း ရှောက်သွား၍ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောလေ၏။ | But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Cesarea. |
