| 2 | ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသော စကားဟူမူကား၊ သင်တို့ကို ငါချစ်လေပြီ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို အဘယ်သို့ ချစ် တော်မူသနည်းဟု သင်တို့မေးကြလျှင်၊ ဧသောသည် ယာကုပ်၏အစ်ကိုဖြစ်သည်မဟုတ်လော။ သို့သော်လည်း ယာကုပ်ကို ငါချစ်၏။ | I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, |

| 4 | ဧဒုံအမျိုးသားတို့က၊ ငါတို့သည် ပျက်စီးသော် လည်း၊ ပျက်စီးသောအရပ်တို့ကို တဖန်တည်ဆောက်ဦး မည်ဟုဆိုရာတွင်၊ ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရ ဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သူတို့သည် တည်ဆောက် သော်လည်း ငါဖြိုဖျက်မည်။ သူတို့ကို ဒုစရိုက်ပြည်သား၊ ထာဝရဘုရားအစဉ်အမျက်ထွက်တော်မူသော လူမျိုးဟူ ၍ သမုတ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ | Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord hath indignation for ever. |
| 5 | ထိုအမှုကို သင်တို့သည် မြင်သောအခါ၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည် ဣသရေလပြည်၏ပြင်မှာ ဘုန်းတန်ခိုး ကြီးတော်မူသည်ဟု ဆိုကြလိမ့်မည်။ | And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The Lord will be magnified from the border of Israel. |
| 6 | သားသည် အဘကို ရိုသေတတ်၏။ ကျွန်သည် သခင်ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့တတ်၏။ ငါသည် အဘမှန်လျှင်၊ ငါ့ကို အဘယ်သူရိုသေသနည်း။ သခင်မှန်လျှင်၊ အဘယ် သူ ကြောက်ရွံ့သနည်းဟု ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နာမတော်ကို မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသော ယဇ် ပုရောဟိတ်တို့အား မေးတော်မူ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် နာမတော်ကို အဘယ်သို့ မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုပါသနည်းဟု သင် တို့မေးရာတွင်၊ | A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? |
| 7 | ညစ်ညူးသောအစာကို ငါ့ယဇ်ပလ္လင်သို့ ဆောင် ခဲ့ကြသည်တကား။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို အဘယ်သို့ ရှုတ်ချပါသနည်းဟုမေးရာတွင်၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏စားပွဲသည် ယုတ်မာ၏ဟုဆိုသောကြောင့် ငါ့ကို ရှုတ်ချကြပြီ။ | Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the Lord is contemptible. |
| 8 | မျက်စိကန်းသော အကောင်ကို ယဇ်ပူဇော်လျှင် အပြစ်ရှိသည်မဟုတ်လော။ ခြေဆွံ့သောအကောင်နှင့် နာသော အကောင်ကို ယဇ်ပူဇော်လျှင် အပြစ်ရှိသည် မဟုတ်လော။ မြို့ဝန်မင်းအား ဆက်ပါလော့။ မင်း၏စိတ် နှင့် တွေ့လိမ့်မည်လော။ သင့်မျက်နှာကို ထောက်လိမ့် မည်ဟု ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။ | And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 9 | ယခုမှာ ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါတို့ကို ကယ်မ သနားတော်မူမည်အကြောင်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ ဆုတောင်းကြပါလော့။ သင်တို့လက်ခံသောကြောင့် ဤသို့ ပြုတတ်ကြ၏။ သင်တို့မျက်နှာကို ထောက်ရမည်လောဟု ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 10 | သင်တို့တွင် အဘယ်သူသည် ငါ့တံခါးတို့ကို ပိတ် လိမ့်မည်နည်း။ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ပေါ်မှာ မီးကို အချည်းနှီးမညှိရကြ။ သင်တို့ကို အလိုမရှိ၊ သင်တို့ပြုသော ပူဇော်သက္ကာကို ငါလက်မခံဟု ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the Lord of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. |
| 11 | နေထွက်ရာအရပ်မှသည် နေဝင်ရာအရပ်တိုင် အောင် တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့တွင် ငါ၏နာမတော်သည် ကြီး မြတ်ရလိမ့်မည်။ ခပ်သိမ်းသော အရပ်တို့၌ နံ့သာပေါင်း ကို ငါ၏နာမတော်အား မီးရှို့၍၊ သန့်ရှင်းသော ပူဇော် သက္ကာကို ဆက်ကပ်ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငါ၏နာမတော်သည် တပါးအမျိုးသားတို့တွင် ကြီးမြတ်ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု ကောင်း ကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 12 | သင်တို့က၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ စားပွဲတော်သည် ညစ်ညူး၏။ တင်ထားသော ဘောဇဉ်ပူဇော်သက္ကာသည် ယုတ်မာ၏ဟုဆိုသောကြောင့် စားပွဲတော်ကို ရှုတ်ချကြပြီ။ | But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible. |
| 13 | တဖန်သင်တို့က၊ အမှုတော်ကို ဆောင်ရွက်၍ ပင်ပန်းစွတကားဟုဆိုလျက်၊ ကဲ့ရဲ့သံကို ပြုတတ်ကြသည် ဟု ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူ ၏။ လုယူသောအကောင်၊ ခြေဆွံ့သောအကောင်၊ နာ သောအကောင်ကို ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြပြီ။ ထိုသို့သော ပူဇော် သက္ကာကို ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြပြီတကား။ သင်တို့လက်မှ ငါခံရ မည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမေးတော်မူ၏။ | Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the Lord of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the Lord. |
| 14 | သစ္စာဂတိထားပြီးမှ မိမိသိုးစု၌ အထီးရှိလျက် ပင် လှည့်စား၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားအား ချို့တဲ့သော အကောင်ကို ယဇ်ပူဇော်သောသူသည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိစေသ တည်း။ ငါသည် ကြီးမြတ်သော ရှင်ဘုရင်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါ၏ နာမတော်သည် လူအမျိုးမျိုးတို့တွင် ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ်ဖြစ် ရမည်ဟု ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။ | But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen. |
