| 1 | ထိုဒေသနာတော်ကို ယေရှုသည်အကုန်အစင် ဟောတော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊ ဂါလိလဲပြည်မှပြောင်း၍ ယုဒပြည် စွန်း၊ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တဘက်သို့ ကြွတော်မူ၏။ | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judea beyond Jordan; |
| 2 | လူများအပေါင်းတို့သည် နောက်တော်သို့လိုက်ကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ထိုအရပ်၌ အနာရောဂါများကို ငြိမ်းစေ တော်မူ၏။ | And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. |
| 3 | ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် အထံတော်သို့လာ၍ လူသည် ခပ်သိမ်းသောအပြစ်ကြောင့် မိမိမယားနှင့် ကွာအပ်သ လောဟု စုံစမ်းနှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်းငှာ မေးလျှောက်ကြသော်၊ | The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? |
| 4 | ကိုယ်တော်က၊ အစအဦး၌ ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသောသူသည် ယောက်ျားနှင့်မိန်းမနှစ်ယောက်တည်းကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူ၏။ | And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, |
| 5 | ထိုအကြောင်းကြောင့် ယောက်ျားသည် ကိုယ်မိဘကိုစွန့်၍ ကိုယ်ခင်ပွန်း၌မှီဝဲသဖြင့်၊ ထိုသူနှစ် ယောက်တို့သည် တသားတကိုယ်တည်းဖြစ်ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု ကျမ်းဆိုသည်ကို သင်တို့မတတ်ဘူးသလော။ | And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? |
| 6 | ထို့ကြောင့် လင်မယားတို့သည် နှစ်ဦးမဟုတ်တဦးတည်းဖြစ်၏။ ဘုရားသခင်ဘက်စပ်၍ ထမ်းဘိုးတင် တော်မူသောအရာကို လူမခွဲမခွာစေနှင့်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. |
| 7 | ဖာရိရှဲတို့ကလည်း၊ ထိုသို့မှန်လျှင် ဖြတ်စာကိုပေး၍ မယားနှင့်ကွာစေခြင်းငှာ မောရှေသည် အဘယ် ကြောင့်စီရင်သနည်းဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊ | They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? |
| 8 | ကိုယ်တော်က၊ သင်တို့စိတ်နှလုံးခိုင်မာသောကြောင့် မယားနှင့်ကွာရသောအခွင့်ကို မောရှေသည် စီရင် ၏ အစအဦး၌ ထိုသို့မဟုတ်။ | He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. |
| 9 | ငါပညတ်သည်ကား၊ မှားယွင်းခြင်းအကြောင်းမှတပါး အခြားသောအကြောင်းဖြင့် မိမိမယားနှင့်ကွာ၍ အခြားသောမိန်းမနှင့်စုံဘက်သောသူသည် မိမိမယားကိုပြစ်မှား၏။ ကွာသောမိန်းမနှင့်စုံဘက်သောသူသည် လည်း သူ့မယားကိုပြစ်မှားသည်ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. |
| 10 | တပည့်တော်တို့ကလည်း၊ လင်မယားအမှုသည် ဤသို့ဖြစ်လျှင်စုံဘက်ခြင်းကိုမပြုကောင်းပါဟု လျှောက် ကြ၏။ | His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. |
| 11 | ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ ထိုစကားကို လူတိုင်းမခံမယူနိုင်။ အခွင့်ရသောသူတို့သာ ခံယူနိုင်ကြ၏။ | But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. |
| 12 | လူအချို့တို့သည် အမိဝမ်းတွင်းကပင် မိန်းမလျှာဖြစ်ကြ၏။ အချို့တို့သည် သူတပါးဆုံးမ၍ မိန်းမလျှာ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ အချို့တို့သည် ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်အဘို့အလို့ငှာ မိမိကိုယ်ကိုဆုံးမ၍ မိန်းမလျှာဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ထို စကားကို ခံယူနိုင်သောသူသည် ခံယူစေဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. |
| 13 | ထိုအခါ သူငယ်တို့အပေါ်မှာ လက်တော်ကိုတင်၍ မေတ္တာပို့တော်မူစေခြင်းငှာ အထံတော်သို့ဆောင်ခဲ့ သည်ဖြစ်၍ တပည့်တော်တို့သည် အပြစ်တင်ကြ၏။ | Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. |
| 14 | ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ထိုသူငယ်တို့ကို ရှိစေတော့။ ငါ့ထံသို့လာသည်ကို မဆီးတားကြနှင့်။ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံ တော်သည် ထိုသို့သောသူတို့၏ နိုင်ငံဖြစ်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၍၊ | But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. |
| 15 | သူငယ်တို့အပေါ်မှာ လက်တော်ကိုတင်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ထိုအရပ်မှ ကြွသွားတော်မူ၏။ | And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. |
| 16 | ထိုနောက်လူတယောက်သည် ချဉ်းကပ်၍၊ ကောင်းမြတ်သောဆရာ၊ ထာဝရအသက်ကို ရအံ့သောငှာ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် အဘယ်ကောင်းမှုကို ပြုရပါမည်နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်သော်၊ | And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? |
| 17 | ငါ့ကိုကောင်းမြတ်သည်ဟု အဘယ်ကြောင့်ခေါ်သနည်း။ ဘုရားသခင်တပါးတည်းသာ ကောင်းမြတ် တော်မူ၏။ အသက်ရှင်ခြင်းသို့ ဝင်စားလိုလျှင်ပညတ်တော်တို့ကို စောင့်ရှောက်လော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. |
| 18 | အဘယ်ပညတ်တို့ကို စောင့်ရှောက်ရမည်နည်းဟု လျှောက်ပြန်သော်၊ လူအသက်ကိုမသတ်နှင့်။ သူ့ မယားကို မပြစ်မှားနှင့်။ သူ့ဥစ္စာကို မခိုးနှင့်။ မမှန်သောသက်သေကို မခံနှင့်။ | He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, |
| 19 | မိဘကိုရိုသေစွာပြုလော့။ ကိုယ်နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောသူကို ကိုယ်နှင့်အမျှချစ်လော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |
| 20 | ထိုလုလင်ကလည်း၊ ထိုပညတ်ရှိသမျှတို့ကို အကျွန်ုပ်သည်ငယ်သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ စောင့်ရှောက်ပါပြီ။ အဘယ်အကျင့်လိုသေးသနည်းဟု လျှောက်ပြန်လေ၏။ | The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? |
| 21 | ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သင်သည်စုံလင်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိုလျှင်သွားလော့။ ကိုယ်ဥစ္စာများကိုရောင်း၍ ဆင်းရဲ သောသူတို့အား ပေးလော့။ ထိုသို့ပြုလျှင် ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ ဘဏ္ဍာကိုရလိမ့်မည်။ သို့ပြီးမှ ငါ့နောက်သို့ လိုက် လော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. |
| 22 | ထိုလုလင်သည် များစွာသောဥစ္စာကို ရတတ်သောသူဖြစ်၍၊ ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင် စိတ်မသာသည်နှင့် သွားလေ၏။ | But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. |
| 23 | ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ငွေရတတ်သောသူသည် ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သို့ ဝင်ခဲလှ ၏။ | Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. |
| 24 | တဖန် ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ ကုလားအုပ်သည် အပ်နဖါးကိုလျှိုလွယ်၏။ ငွေရတတ်သောသူသည် ဘုရား သခင်၏နိုင်ငံတော်သို့ ဝင်ခဲသည်ဟု တပည့်တော်တို့အားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. |
| 25 | ထိုသူတို့သည်ကြားလျှင် အလွန်မိန်းမောတွေဝေခြင်းရှိ၍၊ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် အဘယ်သူသည် ကယ်တင် တော်မူခြင်းသို့ ရောက်နိုင်မည့်နည်းဟု ပြောဆိုကြ၏။ | When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? |
| 26 | ယေရှုသည်လည်း သူတို့ကိုကြည့်ရှု၍ ဤအမှုကိုလူမတတ်နိုင်။ သို့သော်လည်း ဘုရားသခင်သည် ခပ် သိမ်းသော အမှုတို့ကို တတ်နိုင်တော်မူသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. |
| 27 | ထိုအခါ ပေတရုက၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ရှိသမျှကိုစွန့်ပစ်၍ ကိုယ်တော်နောက်သို့လိုက်ကြပါပြီ။ အဘယ် အကျိုးကို ရကြပါမည်နည်းဟု လျှောက်လေသော်၊ | Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? |
| 28 | ယေရှုက၊ ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ အလုံးစုံသောအရာတို့ကို အသစ်ပြုပြင်သောကာလ၌ လူသားသည် ဘုန်းရှိသော ပလ္လင်တော်ပေါ်မှာထိုင်တော်မူသောအခါ၊ ငါ့နောက်သို့လိုက်ကြသောသင်တို့သည် တဆယ်နှစ်ခု သော ပလ္လင်ပေါ်မှာထိုင်လျက်၊ ဣသရေလ လူတဆယ်နှစ်မျိုးကို စစ်ကြောစီရင်ရကြလတံ့။ | And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |
| 29 | အကြင်သူသည် ငါ၏နာမကြောင့် အိမ်၊ လယ်၊ ညီအစ်ကို၊ နှမ၊ မိဘ၊ သားမယားတည်းဟူသော တပါး ပါးကိုစွန့်၏။ ထိုသူသည် အဆတရာသောအကျိုးကိုရ၍ ထာဝရအသက်ကို အမွေခံရလတံ့။ | And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. |
| 30 | နောက်ကျသောသူအများတို့သည် အရင်ကျကြလိမ့်မည်။ အရင်ကျသောသူအများတို့သည် နောက်ကျ ကြလိမ့်မည်။ | But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. |
