| 1 | ယုံကြည်အားနည်းသော သူတို့ကို လက်ခံကြလော့။ သို့ရာတွင် ယုံမှားဘွယ်သော ပြဿနာတို့ကို ထိုသူနှင့်မဆွေးနွေးကြနှင့်။ အစာအမျိုးမျိုးကို စားအပ်သည်ဟု လူအချို့ယုံ၏။ | Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. |
| 2 | အားနည်းသောသူမူကား၊ ဟင်းသီးဟင်းရွက်ကိုသာစား၏။ | For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. |
| 3 | အမျိုးမျိုးကို စားသောသူသည် မစားသောသူကို မထီမဲ့မြင် မပြုစေနှင့်။ မစားသောသူသည်လည်း၊ စားသော သူကိုမစစ်ကြောမစီရင်စေနှင့် အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် သူ့ကိုလက်ခံတော်မူပြီ။ | Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. |
| 4 | သူတပါးပိုင်သော လူကိုစစ်ကြောစီရင်သော သင်သည် အဘယ်သူနည်း။ သူသည်မိမိသခင်စီရင်သော အားဖြင့်သာအပြစ်လွတ်ခြင်း၊ အပြစ်ခံခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ရ၏။ သူသည်အပြစ်လွတ်ခြင်းသို့ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် သူ၏ အပြစ်ကို လွှတ်ခြင်းငှါ တတ်နိုင်တော်မူ၏။ | Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. |
| 5 | နေ့ရက်တရက်ထက်တရက် သာ၍မြတ်သည်ဟု လူအချို့ထင်တတ်၏။ လူအချို့မထင်။ လူတိုင်းမိမိ စိတ်သဘောကျပါစေ။ | One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. |
| 6 | နေ့ရက်ကိုစောင့်သောသူသည် သခင်ဘုရားကို ထောက်၍ စောင့်၏။ နေ့ရက်ကို မစောင့်သော သူသည်လည်း၊ သခင်ဘုရားကို ထောက်၍ မစောင့်ဘဲနေ၏။ စားသောသူသည်သခင်ဘုရားကို ထောက်သောစိတ်နှင့် စား၍ ကျေးဇူးတော်ရှိသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံ၏။ မစားသော သူသည်လည်း၊ သခင်ဘုရားကို ထောက်သောစိတ်နှင့် မစားဘဲနေ၍၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်ရှိသည်ဟုဝန်ခံ၏။ | He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. |
| 7 | ငါတို့တွင် အဘယ်သူမျှကိုယ်အဘို့အလိုငှါ အသက်မရှင်။ အဘယ်သူမျှကိုယ်အဘို့အလို့ငှါမသေ။ | For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. |
| 8 | အသက်ရှင်လျှင်၊ သခင်ဘုရားအဘို့ အလိုငှါ ရှင်၏။ သေလျှင်လည်း၊ သခင်ဘုရား အဘို့အလိုငှါ သေ၏။ ထိုကြောင့်အသင်ရှင်သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ သေသည် ဖြစ်စေ၊ သခင်ဘုရားဆိုင်တော်မူ၏။ | For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. |
| 9 | အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ခရစ်တော်သည်၊ သေသော သူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ ရှင်သောသူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ အစိုးရသောအရှင် ဖြစ်လိုသောငှါ အသေခံ၍၊ ခံပြီးမှအသက်ရှင်ပြန် တော်မူ၏။ | For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. |
| 10 | သင်သည် ညီအစ်ကိုချင်းကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် စစ်ကြောစီရင်သနည်း။ ညီအစ်ကိုချင်းကို အဘယ် ကြောင့် မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသနည်း။ ငါတို့ရှိသမျှသည် ခရစ်တော်၏ တရားပလ္လင်တော်ရှေ့သို့ ရောက်ရကြမည်။ | But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. |
| 11 | ကျမ်းစာလာသည်ကား၊ ငါအသက်ရှင်တော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ငါ့ရှေ့၌ လူတိုင်းဒူးထောက်ရမည်။ ဘုရားသခင်အားလူတိုင်းမိမိနှုတ်နှင့် သစ္စာခံရမည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ | For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. |
| 12 | သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ငါတို့ရှိသမျှသည် ဘုရားသခင် စစ်ကြောတော်မူခြင်းကို ခံရကြမည်။ | So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. |
| 13 | ထိုကြောင့်၊ ငါတို့သည် ယခုမှစ၍ အချင်းချင်း မစစ်ကြောမစီရင်ဘဲ နေကြကုန်အံ့။ ညီအစ်ကိုချင်း ထိမိ၍ လဲစရာအခွင့်၊ မှားယွင်းစရာအခွင့်မရှိစေမည်အကြောင်း သာ၍ စီရင်ကြကုန်အံ့။ | Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. |
| 14 | အဘယ်အစာမျှ ပကတိအတိုင်း မညစ်ညူးကြောင်းကို၊ ငါသည်သခင်ယေရှုကို အမှီပြုလျက်သဘော ကျ၍ အမှန်သိ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ ညစ်ညူးသည်ဟု အကြင်သူသည်ထင်၏။ ထိုသူ၌ ညစ်ညူး၏။ | I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. |
| 15 | သင်၏ညီအစ်ကိုသည် သင်စားသော အစာကြောင့် စိတ်နာရလျှင်၊ သင်သည်မေတ္တာတရားကို မကျင့်။ ခရစ်တော်သည် အသေခံတော်မူသော ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ခံသောသူကိုသင်၏ အစာအားဖြင့် အကျိုး မနည်းစေနှင့်။ | But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. |
| 16 | သင်တို့သည် အခွင့်သည်အမှုမှာ ကဲ့ရဲ့စရာ အကြောင်းမရှိစေနှင့်။ | Let not then your good be evil spoken of: |
| 17 | ဘုရားသခင်၏ နိုင်ငံတော်သည် အစားအသောက်၌ မတည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်း၊ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်း၊ သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ်တော်အားဖြင့် ခံရသော ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်း၌ တည်၏။ | For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. |
| 18 | ထိုသို့ကျင့်၍ ခရစ်တော်၏အမှုကို ဆောင်ရွက်သောသူသည် ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့၌ နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်၊ လူတို့ တွင် ချီးမွမ်းဘွယ်ဖြစ်၏။ | For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. |
| 19 | ထိုကြောင့်၊ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း၊ အချင်းချင်းတည်ဆောက်ခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း ယှဉ်သောအရာတို့ကို မှီအောင်လိုက်ကြကုန်အံ့။ | Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. |
| 20 | ဘုရားသခင်၏ အမှုတော်ကို သင်၏အစာအလိုငှါ မဖျက်ဆီးနှင့်။ အစာအမျိုးမျိုးတို့သည် စင်ကြယ်၏။ သို့သော်လည်း သူတပါးထိမိ၍ လဲစရာအကြောင်းနှင့် စားသော သူသည်အပြစ်ရှိ၏။ | For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. |
| 21 | အမဲသားကိုစားခြင်း၊ စပျစ်ရည်ကိုသောက်ခြင်း ကိစ္စမှစ၍၊ ညီအစ်ကိုထိမိ၍ လဲစရာအကြောင်း၊ မှားယွင်း စရာအကြောင်း၊ အားနည်းစရာအကြောင်းများကို ရှောင်အပ်၏။ | It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. |
| 22 | သင်သည်ယုံခြင်းရှိလျှင် ကိုယ်အလိုအလျောက် ဘုရားသခင့်ရှေ့၌ ရှိစေလော့။ ကိုယ်လက်ခံသောအမှုမှာ ကိုယ်ကိုမစစ်ကြော မစီရင်သောသူသည် မင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ | Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. |
| 23 | ယုံမှားသောသူသည် စားလျှင်၊ ယုံသောစိတ် မရှိဘဲ စားသောကြောင့် အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကိုခံရ၏။ ယုံသောစိတ်မရှိဘဲ ကျင့်သမျှသော အကျင့်တို့သည် အပြစ်ရှိကြ၏။ | And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. |
