| 1 | 汝等の間に兄弟的相愛あるべし。 | Let brotherly love continue. |
| 2 | 又旅人を接待する事を忘るる勿れ、或人々は、是によりて知らず識らず天使等を宿したり。 | Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. |
| 3 | 囚人を思遣ること、我身も共に囚人たるが如く、己も肉身にあるを思ひて苦勞せる人を思遣るべし。 | Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body. |
| 4 | 婚姻は萬事に於て尊かるべし、又寝床は汚さるべからず、神は私通者及び姦淫者を審判し給ふべければなり。 | Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. |
| 5 | 行状に於ては、金銭を貪らず、現に在る所を以て満足せよ。蓋神御自ら曰く、「我は汝を離れず、又汝を捨てじ」と。 | Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. |
| 6 | 然れば我等は信頼を以て、「主は我が補助者にて在す、我は懼れじ、人我に何をか為さん」、と言ふことを得るなり。 | So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. |
| 7 | 汝等に神の御言を語りし教導師等を記憶し、其齢の終を鑑みて其信仰に倣へ。 | Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. |
| 8 | イエズス、キリストは昨日も今日も同一に在して、世々にも亦然り。 | Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. |
| 9 | 汝等種々様々の異なる教に迷はさるること勿れ。恩寵を以て心を固むるは、是最も善き事にして、倚縋れる人々に有益ならざりし食物を以てすべきには非ず。 | Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. |
| 10 | 我等に祭壇あり、幕屋に事ふる人々は、この祭壇より食する権を有せず、 | We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. |
| 11 | 蓋獣の血は罪の為に、大司祭によりて聖所の内に携へらるれども、軀は陣の外に焼かる。 | For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. |
| 12 | イエズスが、己の血を以て民を聖とならしめん為に門外に苦を受け給ひしも此故なり。 | Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. |
| 13 | 然れば我等は陣を出でて、イエズスの耻辱を擔つ御許に至り奉るべし、 | Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. |
| 14 | 蓋我等は此處にては、永存する都會を有せずして、未來のものを求む。 | For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. |
| 15 | 是を以て我等は、彼によりて、絶えず賛美の祭、即ち御名を稱ふる唇の果を神に献ぐべし。 | By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. |
| 16 | 慈善及び施を為すを忘るる勿れ、其は斯る祭を以てこそ神の御意に適へばなり。 | But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. |
| 17 | 汝等己が教導師に從ひて之に歸服せよ、彼等は汝等の霊魂に就きて、自ら報告の責めあるものとして警戒すればなり。之を喞ちながらに為ずして、喜びて為す事を得させよ、喞ちながらに為すは汝等に益あらざればなり。 | Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. |
| 18 | 請ふ我等の為に祈れ、其は我等が、萬事に就きて宜しく行はん事を欲して、善き良心を有せるを確信すればなり。 | Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. |
| 19 | 然せん事を、我が尚切に冀ふは、我が速に汝等に返されん為なり。 | But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. |
| 20 | 願はくは永遠の約の御血に由て、羊の大牧者にて在す我主イエズス、キリストを、死より復活せしめ給ひし平和の神、 | Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, |
| 21 | 御旨を行はしめん為に、汝等を凡ての善事に完全ならしめ、御前に於て御意に適ふ所を、イエズス、キリストによりて、汝等の中に為し給はん事を。光榮世々之に歸す、アメン。 | Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
| 22 | 兄弟等よ、請ふ我勧の言を容れよ、蓋我は簡単に書贈れり。 | And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words. |
| 23 | 我等の兄弟チモテオは放免せられしと知れ、彼若速に來らば、我彼と共に汝等を見んとす。 | Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you. |
| 24 | 総て汝等の教導師と聖徒とに宜しく傳へよ。イタリアの兄弟等、汝等に宜しくと言へり。 | Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you. |
| 25 | 願はくは恩寵汝等一同と共に在らん事を、アメン。 | Grace be with you all. Amen. Written to the Hebrews from Italy by Timothy. |
