| 1 | イエズス斯く語り果てて、目を翹げ天を仰ぎて曰ひけるは、父よ時來れり、御子をして汝に光榮あらしめん為に、御子に光榮あらしめ給へ、 | These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: |
| 2 | 其は父より賜はりし人々に永遠の生命を與へしめんとて、之に萬民の上に権能を賜ひたればなり。 | As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. |
| 3 | 抑永遠の生命は、唯一の眞の神にて在す汝と、其遣はし給へるイエズス、キリストとを知るに在り。 | And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. |
| 4 | 我は地上にて汝に光榮あらしめ、我に為さしめんとて賜ひし業を全うせり。 | I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. |
| 5 | 父よ、世界の存在に前だちて我が汝と共に有せし光榮を以て、今汝と共に我に光榮あらしめ給へ。 | And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. |
| 6 | 我は、此世より選みて我に賜ひし人々に御名を顕せり。彼等汝のものたりしに之を我に賜ひ、彼等は汝の言を守り、 | I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. |
| 7 | 我に賜ひし事悉く汝より出づることを今にして暁れり。 | Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. |
| 8 | 蓋我に賜ひし言を我彼等に授け、彼等は之を受けて、深く我が汝より出でたるを暁り、汝の我に遣はし給ひしことを信ぜり。 | For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. |
| 9 | 我彼等の為に祈る。我が祈るは世の為に非ずして、我に賜ひたる人々の為なり、彼等は汝のものなればなり。 | I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. |
| 10 | 我ものは悉く汝のもの、汝のものは我ものにして、我彼等の中に光榮を得たり。 | And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. |
| 11 | 我最早世に居らず、彼等は世に居り、我は汝に至る。聖なる父よ、我に賜ひたる人々を御名を以て護り給へ、是我等の如く彼等も一ならん為なり。 | And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. |
| 12 | 我彼等と共なりし間、御名を以て彼等を護り居たりしが、我に賜ひたる人々を保ち、其中の一人も失せず、唯聖書の成就せん為に、亡の子の失せたるのみ。 | While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. |
| 13 | 今は我汝に至る、世に在りて斯く語るは、我喜を彼等の身に円満ならしめんが為なり。 | And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. |
| 14 | 我は御言を彼等に授け、世は彼等を憎めり、是は我も世のものに非ざる如く、彼等は世のものに非ざればなり。 | I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. |
| 15 | 我が祈るは彼等を世より取去り給へとには非ず、彼等を護りて惡を逃れしめ給へとなり。 | I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. |
| 16 | 我も世のものに非ざる如く、彼等は世のものに非ず、 | They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. |
| 17 | 願くは彼等を眞理の中に聖ならしめ給へ、御言は即ち眞理なり、 | Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. |
| 18 | 我を世に遣はし給ひし如く、我も彼等を世に遣はせり、 | As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. |
| 19 | 且彼等をも眞理の中に聖ならしめんとして、彼等の為に己を聖ならしむ。 | And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. |
| 20 | 我が祈るは彼等の為のみならず、又彼等の言によりて我を信ずる人々の為にして、 | Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; |
| 21 | 彼等が悉く一ならん為なり。父よ、是汝の我に在し我が汝に居るが如く、彼等も我等に居りて一ならん為にして、汝の我を遣はし給ひし事を世に信ぜしめんとてなり。 | That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. |
| 22 | 我に賜ひし光榮を我彼等に與へたり、是は我等の一なるが如く、彼等も一ならん為なり。 | And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: |
| 23 | 我彼等に居り汝我に在す、是は彼等が一に全うせられん為、又汝の我を遣はし給ひし事と、我を愛し給ひし如く彼等をも愛し給ひし事とを、世の暁らん為なり。 | I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. |
| 24 | 父よ、願くは我に賜ひし人々も、我が居る處に我と共ならん事を、是世界開闢以前より我を愛し給ひて我に賜ひたる我光榮を、彼等に見せん為なり。 | Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. |
| 25 | 正しき父よ、世は汝を知らざれども我は汝を知り、彼等も亦汝の我を遣はし給ひしことを知れり。 | O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. |
| 26 | 我は御名を彼等に知らせたり、又知らせんとす、是我を愛し給ひたる愛の彼等に存して、我も彼等に居らん為なり、[と曰へり]。 | And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. |
