| 1 | イエズス[神]殿を出で給ふに、弟子の一人、師よ、視給へ、此石は如何に、此構造は如何に、と云ひしかば、 | And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! |
| 2 | イエズス答へて曰ひけるは、此一切の大建築を見るか、一の石も崩れずして石の上に遺されじ、と。 | And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
| 3 | イエズス橄欖山に於て、[神]殿に向ひて坐し給へるに、ペトロヤコボヨハネアンデリア特に是に問ひけるは、 | And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, |
| 4 | 此事等は何時あるべきぞ。而して事の皆果され始めん時に、如何なる兆あるべきぞ、我等に告げ給へ、と。 | Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? |
| 5 | イエズス答へて彼等に曰ひけるは、汝等人に惑はされじと注意せよ。 | And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: |
| 6 | 其は多くの人我名を冒し來りて、我はキリストなりと云ひて、多くの人を惑はすべければなり。 | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. |
| 7 | 汝等戰争及戰争の噂を聞きて懼るる勿れ、此事等は蓋有るべし、然れど終は未至らざるなり。 | And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. |
| 8 | 即民は民に、國は國に起逆ひ、地震飢饉處々にあらん、是等は苦の始なり。 | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. |
| 9 | 汝等自省みよ、蓋人々汝等を衆議所に付し、汝等は諸會堂にて鞭たれ、我為に證據として、総督と王侯との前に立たんとす。 | But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. |
| 10 | 然て福音は先萬民に宣傳へられるべし。 | And the gospel must first be published among all nations. |
| 11 | 人々汝等を引きて付さん時、何を云はんかと預案ずること勿れ、唯其時汝等に賜はらん事を云へ、其は言ふ者は汝等に非ずして聖霊なればなり。 | But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. |
| 12 | 兄弟は兄弟を、父は子を死に付し、子等は兩親に立逆ひ、且之を殺さん。 | Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. |
| 13 | 汝等我名の為に凡ての人に憎まれん。然れど終まで耐忍ぶ人は救はるべし。 | And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| 14 | 汝等「最憎むべき荒廃」の、立つべからざる處に厳然たるを見ば、読む人は悟るべし。其の時ユデアに居る人々は山に遁るべし、 | But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains: |
| 15 | 屋の上に居る人は家の内に下り、家より何物をか取出さんとて内に入るべからず。 | And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: |
| 16 | 畑に居る人は其上衣を取らんとて歸るべからず。 | And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. |
| 17 | 其日に當りて懐胎せる人、乳を哺する人は禍なる哉。 | But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! |
| 18 | 此事の冬に起らざらん事を祈れ。 | And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. |
| 19 | 其は其日に際して、神が[萬物を]創造し給ひし開闢の始より今に至るまで曾て有らず、後にも復有らざらん程の難あるべければなり。 | For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. |
| 20 | 主若其日を縮め給はずは、救はるる人なからん。然れど特に選み給ひし、選まれたる人々の為に、其日を縮め給へり。 | And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. |
| 21 | 其時汝等に向ひて、看よキリスト此處に在り、看よ彼處に在り、と云ふ者ありとも之を信ずること勿れ。 | And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: |
| 22 | 其は僞キリスト、僞預言者等起りて、能ふべくば、選まれたる人々をさへ惑はさんとて、大いなる徴と不思議なる業とを為すべければなり。 | For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. |
| 23 | 然れば汝等省みよ。我預め一切を汝等に告げたるぞ。 | But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. |
| 24 | 其時、斯る患難の後、日晦み、月其光を與へず、 | But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, |
| 25 | 空の星隕ち、天に於る能力動揺せん、 | And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. |
| 26 | 其時人々は、人の子が大いなる権力と榮光とを以て、雲に乗り來るを見ん。 | And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. |
| 27 | 時に彼其使等を遣はし、地の極より天の極まで、四方より其選まれたる人を蒐集めしめん。 | And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. |
| 28 | 汝等無花果樹より喩を學べ、其枝既に柔ぎて葉を生ずれば、夏の近きを知る。 | Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: |
| 29 | 斯の如く、此事等の成るを見ば、汝等亦其近くして門に至れるを知れ。 | So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. |
| 30 | 我誠に汝等に告ぐ、此事等の皆成るまでは現代は過ぎざらん。 | Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. |
| 31 | 天地は過ぎん、然れど我言は過ぎざるべし。 | Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. |
| 32 | 其日其時をば、天に於る天使等も、子も、何人も知らず、唯父のみ[之を知り給ふ]。 | But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. |
| 33 | 汝等注意し、警戒し、且祈祷せよ、蓋期の何時なるかを知らざればなり。 | Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. |
| 34 | 其は恰も人、其家を去りて遠方に旅立つに當り、僕等に命じて、各其務を頒ち充て、門番には警戒する事を命じたるが如し。 | For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. |
| 35 | 然れば汝等警戒せよ、家の主の來るは何時なるべきか、夕暮なるか夜半なるか、将鷄鳴く頃なるか朝なるか、之を知らざればなり。 | Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: |
| 36 | 恐くは、彼遽に來りて汝等の寝ねたるを見ん。 | Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. |
| 37 | 我汝等に云ふ所を凡ての人に云ふ、警戒せよ[、と曰へり]。 | And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. |
