| 2 | 人々己を愛し、利を貪り、奢り驕り罵りて、親に從はず、恩を知らず、聖ならず、 | For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, |
| 3 | 情なく、和がず、讒謗し、節制なく、温和ならず、善を好まず、 | Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, |
| 4 | 叛逆、横柄、傲慢にして、神よりも快樂を愛し、 | Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; |
| 5 | 敬虔の姿を有しつつ、却て其實を棄つる事あらん、汝彼等をも避けよ。 | Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. |
| 6 | 其中には人の家に潜入り、女等を虜にして誘ふ者あり、是等の女は罪を負ひ、種々の慾に引かれて、 | For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, |
| 7 | 常に學べども眞理の知識に達せず、 | Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. |
| 8 | 恰もヤンネスとマンプレスとがモイゼに逆らひし如く、此人々も亦眞理に逆らひ、精神腐敗して信仰の廃れたる者なり。 | Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. |
| 9 | 然れど彼等は尚此上に進む事なかるべし、蓋其愚なる事の衆人に明なるは、彼二人に於て在りしが如し。 | But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. |
| 10 | 汝は我教、行状、志、信仰、忍耐、慈愛、堪忍、 | But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, |
| 11 | 受けし迫害にも、苦にも善く之に從へり。我アンチオキア、イコニヨム、及びリストロに於て、斯る事に遇ひ、其の迫害を忍びたりしが、主は総て是等の中より我を救出し給ひしなり。 | Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. |
| 12 | 総てキリスト、イエズスに於る敬虔を以て世を渡らんと決せる人は迫害を受くべく、 | Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. |
| 13 | 又惡人及び人を欺く者は愈惡に進みて、自ら迷ひ人をも迷はすに至らん。 | But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. |
| 14 | 然れども汝は學びし事、確信せる事に止れ、其は如何なる人々より之を學びしかを知り、 | But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; |
| 15 | 又幼少より聖書を知ればなり。即ち聖書はキリスト、イエズスに於る信仰を以て、汝を救霊の為に敏からしむることを得。 | And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. |
| 16 | 聖書は皆神感によるものにして、教授するに、勧告するに、譴責するに、正義に於て教育するに有益なり。 | All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: |
| 17 | 是神の人の全うせられて、凡ての善業に備へられん為なり。 | That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. |
